Beyond Basic Percussion

is a collection of ten beginning percussion ensemble pieces that address the most common obstacles young percussionists and their teachers face in the classroom ensemble setting. This collection comes with a DVD containing printable parts, audio recordings, multi-camera video examples of real students performing each piece, and even playing tips … also performed by students! This is easily enough material to last several semesters of ensemble curriculum. “A MUST HAVE FOR ANY SERIOUS TEACHER.” James Campbell – University of Kentucky

Five Minute Drill is a series

of fundamental exercises and customized play-along tracks for practice pad and mallet keyboard designed to give young players a guided regimen of essentials in just FIVE MINUTES A DAY! Includes a CD-ROM with over 90 play-along tracks in various musical styles and speeds. Set up your pads or mallet instruments, press PLAY… and away you go!

Bring your percussion students into the music and beyond the back of the room!

The new practice pads by Tapspace™ and Offworld Percussion™

The Tap-Off is a unique, dual surface drumming practice tool. The primary playing surface is comprised of a bouncy, specially formulated gum rubber. The secondary area is made of OffWorld’s signature Darkmatter™ material giving a more articulate practice surface 13.75” diameter • 4.25 lbs.

Available separately, the Rat-Pad is a layer of custom foam that slides into place on the Tap-Off and provides an extra layer of muffling as well as less rebound for a greater challenge! If that’s not cool enough, it makes a great mouse pad and even looks like a used drum head!

Like our music? Want to help make sure more music like this is created in the future?

By letting ASCAP know that you performed our pieces in concert, you’ll be supporting our composers and Tapspace, and it doesn’t cost you a thing! Every year ASCAP collects monies from orchestras, bars, radio stations, karaoke clubs, even sports stadiums—nearly every place and space where music is played. These funds are distributed based on reported performances. If you don’t report performances, that’s one or two more pennies that will go to Miley Cyrus. So please, take a few minutes, visit our Submit Concert Programs page at Tapspace.com, and help us support creativity in percussion.
