Petersgate Tap is Pub of the Year

Stockport’s Petersgate Tap has poured a double winner at this year’s CAMRA awards!

The popular bar has won the coveted title of Pub of the Year and scooped up Cider Pub of the Year for the 5th year in a row. The awards are presented by Stockport CAMRA who selected the winner from hundreds of bars and pubs across Stockport and South Manchester.

Alan Gent, who opened The Petersgate Tap in 2016 said: “We have won Cider Pub of the Year for the last five years but this is the first time we’ve been eligible to win overall Pub of the Year. It’s the first time that the double has been done in the history of the branch and means the number of awards we have won since we opened in 2016 is 20”
