The final concert of Stockport Symphony Orchestra’s season brings the ever popular and beautiful 2nd piano concerto by Rachmaninov. With soloist Giulia Cantaldo. The concert will also include Glinka Overture Russlan and Ludmilla and Sibelius Symphony No 2.

The story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric, but mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans.

Government program Plan 75 encourages senior citizens to be euthanized to remedy an aged society. An elderly woman whose means of survival are vanishing, a pragmatic Plan 75 salesman, and a Filipino labourer face choices of life and death.
This is a new group which involves reading and discussing poetry. Each month, there will be a different topic of what the poetry should be inspired by, for example, love. We will do our own writing within this time and share this with the group for discussion.

Stockport Schools’ Brass Bands Stockport Plaza
Stockport Schools’ Brass Bands (SSBB) were formed in 1978 and to celebrate the 45th Anniversary past members of SSBB are reuniting, with some of the top brass players in Stockport and beyond coming together to play in the Reunion Band. The evening will start with a performance from the current bands, with the finale of the evening being a massed band piece with over 100 players taking part.
