Stockport Gin distilling an award for North-West Family Business

Husband and wife, Paul & Cheryl Sharrock’s family business, Stockport Gin, has been announced as a finalist for the People’s Choice category at the North-West Family Business Awards 2023.

Paul & Cheryl launched Stockport Gin on 22nd March 2019, at first distilling from their garage at home. Now, all gin is made at their distillery on St Petersgate in Stockport Town Centre – they are both involved in every part of the process. They use a 100l stainless steel column still to produce their range of gins and then each bottle is filled and labelled by them before being checked and sent out all over the UK.

Writing on Stockport Gin’s Facebook page, the couple from Compstall said: “We have been told that we beat strong competition with a record number of family businesses entering the awards from across the North-West region.

The awards will be held at The Concorde Conference Centre, near Manchester Airport, on Friday 19th May 2023.

“It is now down to a public vote, as well as a site-visit from the judges. Please vote for us on the North-West Family Business Award’s website.”

From their shop & distillery in Stockport, visitors can choose from a full range of gins for purchase as well as glassware, gift sets and bespoke hampers.
