W

hen Finance Minister Hon. Washington Misick brings the 2013/2014 estimates of expenditure to House of Assembly for passage possibly next month he should go there expecting a total rejection by the opposition. Hon. Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson-led opposition People’s Democratic Movement is not in agreement with new taxes that government has inserted in the Fiscal and Strategic Policy Statement (FSC). What the opposition finds even more egregious is the way the taxes were announced to the country. Addressing a news conference at party headquarters in Providenciales on Friday (June 21), Cartwright-Robinson, declared that the taxes were unveiled after the FSPS got the all clear from Secretary of State Williams Hague, and
