臺北市立國樂團成立於 1979 年，是臺灣第一個專業國樂團。歷任團長為陳暾初、陳澄雄、王正平、鍾 耀光、鄭立彬、陳鄭港。在歷任團長及音樂總監王正平、邵恩、首席指揮瞿春泉，以及現任首席指揮張 宇安的帶領下，厚植團員專業演奏素養，讓臺北市立國樂團躋身國際知名樂團，以開創性的跨界節目來 拓展「國樂」的定義，樹立臺北市立國樂團獨特的樂團風格與藝術走向。

樂團的標語「讓您聽見世界」，明白點示出臺北市立國樂團不單只有演奏傳統國樂，更與國際名家合作， 同時多方嘗試跨界演出，為觀眾不斷打造創新視野的聆賞感受，發展出臺灣國樂的新模式，為國樂永續 發展創造嶄新視野。2017 年推出的「TCO 劇院」製作，更是展現了強烈的企圖心。近年大量委託臺灣 作曲家為樂團量身創作新曲，也讓樂團成為全球委約及演出臺灣作曲家作品最多的樂團，以「臺灣品牌 立足國際」。

Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO) was established in 1979 as Taiwan’s frst professional Chinese orchestra. It was formerly led by general directors CHEN Tun-Chu, David CHEN, WANG Cheng-Ping, CHUNG Yiu-Kwong, CHENG Li-Pin and CHEN Cheng-Kang.Thanks to the extraordinary leadership of the former and serving general directors, music directors WANG Cheng-Ping, SHAO En and Principal Conductor QU Chunquan and current Principal Conductor CHANG Yu-A, the performing prowess of TCO has been continually strengthened, making it an internationally-renowned orchestra. With creative crossover programs that expand the defnition of Chinese music, TCO has successfully established its signature style and artistic direction.

TCO's slogan “Let You Hear the World”, indicates that TCO not only performs Chinese music, but also collaborates with elite musicians worldwide. Meanwhile, TCO has endeavoured to multi-disciplinary performance, in search of brand new auditory experience for local audience, as well as developing a new model for Chinese music in Taiwan. Among those attempts, productions from TCO Theater Series since 2017 are especially ambitious. In recent years, TCO has commissioned a large number of Taiwanese composers to write original pieces for Chinese orchestra, thus become the orchestra that commissions and premieres the most works by Taiwanese composers in the world, successfully establishing its own international brand.

臺北市立國樂團每年平均服務近

10 萬名愛樂者，辦理超過百場各種型態的音樂會，包括每年 3 月至 6 月的「臺北市傳統藝術季」；肩負教育推廣的責任，每年 20 多場專為臺北市國小六年級學生演出的「育 藝深遠」教育音樂會和 36 場「文化就在巷子裡」社區音樂會、國內巡迴演出、校園巡迴等。還有由 7 個附設樂團五百餘人組成的大家庭，每年定期培訓、展演，為國樂蓬勃發展打下良好的基礎。

在國際文化交流方面，曾多次出訪過歐、美、亞超過 20 多個國家，足跡遍及世界各個重要音樂廳。

2011 年 2 月由國際著名藝術經紀公司 Opus 3 Artists 安排美國巡迴，成為世界第一個國際藝術經紀公

司經紀的國樂團。2018 年 11 月赴美國紐約市卡內基音樂廳演出，更成為首個登上卡內基音樂廳演出的 臺灣樂團。巡演所到之處受到海外愛樂人士歡迎喜愛，成績斐然。

臺北市立國樂團創團至今共錄製超過 50 張出版品，屢獲金曲獎入圍肯定並獲獎，傑出的表現更受到國 際樂壇上的重視，2008 年起，應瑞典 BIS 唱片公司邀請，陸續合作錄製了 6 張專輯唱片國際發行；其

中專輯《胡旋舞》、《擊境》分別獲得第 21、24 屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳民族音樂專輯獎」、「傳統暨藝 術音樂類－最佳作曲人獎」。與繆斯藝術文化有限公司合作陸續發行年度專輯，以臺灣風土人文為主題，

希望將臺灣音樂創演能量推向國際舞臺，持續發光發熱；其中《臺灣音畫》、《瘋．原祭》、《李天祿 的四個女人》獲第 28、29 屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳詮釋獎 指揮」、「最佳專輯製作人獎」、「最佳創 作獎：作詞類」，《和諧．鳴響》獲第 33 屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳傳統音樂專輯獎」等殊榮；《我的媽媽

欠栽培》獲 108 年度優良政府出版品、《彩戲繽紛》獲 111 年度優良政府出版品、《四季風景．盧亮輝》

獲 112 年度優良政府出版品。

過去 44 年來，篳路藍縷，一步一腳印穩健成長。近年來在演奏上更以建構「國樂新聲響美學」的「臺 北之聲」，琢磨出樂團獨有的細膩音色，以展演優秀傳統國樂作品、展現臺灣國樂生命力為目標，努力

TCO performs for more than 100,000 music lovers annually and holds concerts in various forms. Among those are Taipei Traditional Arts Festival holding from March to June every year; “As Music As Life”, an educational project of over 20 concerts per year for sixthgraders in Taipei City; “Culture in the Back Alley” series consisting of 36 community concerts of promotional project; tours at schools and halls around Taiwan, and so on. It also has a huge community comprising of more than 500 members of its seven affliated orchestras that rehearse and perform regularly, laying down a solid foundation for the thriving development of Chinese music.

In terms of international exchange, the TCO has previously performed at major concert halls around in the world, making its presence known in more than 20 countries in Europe, North America and Asia, and has been warmly welcomed by music lovers wherever it performed. In February 2011, an US tour arranged by internationally-renowned management company “Opus 3 Artists”, made TCO the frst Chinese music orchestra promoted by an international arts management company. Furthermore, TCO has become the frst professional orchestra from Taiwan performing at Carnegie Hall in New York upon its debut there in November, 2018. The impressive performances during the tours have earned TCO music lovers around globe.

Since its founding, TCO has released more than 50 recordings, impressing international music community by its outstanding performance. Some of the albums had won the Golden Melody Award in Taiwan. Since 2008, TCO was invited by Sweden record label BIS Records, released 6 CDs internationally; among these albums Whirling Dance and Ecstatic Drumbeat won the Golden Melody Award for Traditional Arts Music in the 21 th and 24th, respectively. TCO and Muse Music team up to release a successive series of works: Sketches of Taiwan for Chinese Orchestra, Holy Pilgrimage, Taiwanese Aboriginal Carnival, and The Four Women in Puppet Master LEE Tien-Lu's Life in hopes of bringing an international perspective to Taiwan's creative energy on a global stage. Among which, Sketches of Taiwan for Chinese Orchestra, Taiwanese Aboriginal Carnival and The Four Women in Puppet Master LEE Tien-Lu's Life earned the 28th and 29th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music, Best Interpretation, Producer of the Year (album), and Best Lyrics; Resonances earned the 33th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts Music Album; My Mom Needs an Education earned the 108 Excellent Government Publication; Color of the Stages earned the 111 Excellent Government Publication; LO Leung-Fai: The Four Seasons earned the 112 Excellent Government Publication.

Over the past 44 years, coming a long way from humble beginnings, TCO has grown steadily, one step at a time, to become a world class orchestra, devoting itself to paving the way to the new era of Chinese music.

臺北擁有厚實的文化底蘊，洋溢著濃烈的藝術氛圍，這個迷人的都市展現了多元的魅力 和風采。臺北很幸福地擁有許多優秀傑出的專業藝文團隊，其中臺北市立國樂團不僅僅 是我們的驕傲，也在世界華人地區具有指標性的地位，卓越的演出內容與專業水準，成 為藝文生態積澱與再醞釀的重要養分。每年推出的節目不僅範疇廣泛，還突破了傳統的 框架，開創了跨域展演的新契機，在開創跨域展演可能性的同時，對傳統音樂如何在新 的時代中，顯現出創新與傳承的實質內涵，兼容並蓄、多元融會的獨特風格，一直是臺 北市立國樂團不斷跟隨時代脈動前進的目標，與臺北這個城市一樣，站在歷史的軸線 上，與時俱進。

新冠疫情結束後，即將到來的新樂季節目充滿了熱鬧氛圍，欣喜地看見延續過去的脈 絡，還有更多新的嘗試將一一展開。隨著國際交流回復往日的熱絡，久違的海外音樂 家邀演、在地音樂家的攜手合作，陸續登臺。讓這個樂季節目更顯意義非凡，這不僅

是樂界好友的歡聚，也是眾多喜愛表演藝術觀眾期待已久的時刻。

Rich in cultural heritages, abundant with artistic activities, Taipei is a metropolis characterized by its diversity and vibrancy. We are particularly proud of having many excellent performing and visual arts groups in which Taipei Chinese Orchestra is not just one of the local stars but a benchmark of its peers in the world stage. The professionalism and the high standard of TCO has been a major force in nurturing our cultural life. Encompassing traditional and contemporary elements, TCO’s annual programs demonstrate a characteristic of not just a guardian of music heritages but a breaker of fresh grounds abundant with crossover and fusion experiments. Just like Taipei City, TCO is striding along the pulse of the times.

The post-pandemic era signifies the revitalization of music activities in a new season flled with blockbuster programs which include welcoming international and overseas musicians in collaboration with TCO and other local performing groups. Such concerts are eagerly anticipated by many music fans and performing arts audiences.

Making sure to provide the city and its citizens with abundant cultural experience, TCO’s 2023/24 Season includes innovative programs showcasing music, dance and theatre. 我們都知道，臺北市是一座傳統與現代兼具的國際都市，市區內不時地可見到多元族群 文化活絡在街頭巷弄間，猶如一座現代化城市博物館。北市國即將推出的 2023/24 樂季

節目，就是如此的繽紛多元，讓您無時無刻徜徉在藝術氛圍，同時也能聽見世界多元又 美妙的聲音。

In the midsummer, I am proud to offer you this vibrant and colorful booklet showcasing TCO’s programs for the 2023/24 season.

Taipei City is known for being an international metropolis imbued with traditional and modern characteristics. One will fnd abundant multicultural life spreading through its grand boulevards and small alleys, virtually a huge municipal museum by itself. This is exactly the point we will discover in the upcoming season’s programs which refect the multiplicity as well as merging of different artistic styles and cultural elements for one to appreciate.

When turning the pages of this booklet, one will be amazed by the participation of many internationally renowned musicians and performing groups. The three main concert series, i.e. “Spectacular of TCO,” “Warmness of TCO Family” and “Iridescence of Traditional Arts,” consist of 48 sets with 54 exciting programs. Besides standard and innovative repertoires excelled by TCO and other local performance groups, the audience will also be treated with the supreme artistry of such international virtuosi as Pipa soloist WH Man, Erhu soloists WONG On Yuen and WONG Sun Tat, violinists LU Siqin and William WEI, violist Megumi KASAKAWA, trombonist Peter STEINER, as well as maestros TANG Muhai and Nodaka OKISAWA.

Additionally, TCO continues its efforts on outreach programs which include “Arts Seeding,” “Culture in the Back Alley,” “Chinese Music Summer Camp” and “Composition Workshops.” Furthermore, the Taipei Instrumental Competition will resume its composition category after an absent for 8 years. All of these exciting events are going to be unveiled before all citizens and TCO fans.

絲竹之聲、合奏之美，可以是狂放、深邃、意境悠長的，也能是朦朧、依戀抑或是含蓄、 內斂的。與北市國攜手前行一年多的時光裡，很高興地能與眾多藝術家共同努力，共享 精彩曲目，也擁有許多愛樂聽眾的支持與鼓勵。

2023/24 樂季為大家精心安排了多場精彩演出，同時，因應國際交流逐漸回復往日的熱 絡，繼 2022/23 樂季引薦日本愛樂管弦樂團首席指揮黃佳俊與北市國合作廣受好評後， 本樂季將再次引薦京都愛樂管弦樂團首席指揮 Nodoka OKISAWA （沖澤のどか）來

臺與北市國合作，這也將是她首度指揮國樂團的演出；另外邀請到當代中提琴音樂名家 Megumi KASAKAWA 同臺獻藝，藉由與 2 位新生代國際名家的合作，碰撞出更多創新 的思考與可能性，為樂團長遠發展投注更多新意。除此之外，Twincussion 雙子二重奏、

旅法擊樂新星巫欣璇與北市國的首度合作，也將為 2024 年臺北市傳統藝術季開幕音樂會 劃下濃墨重彩的一筆。臺北市傳統藝術季閉幕前夕，更邀請到傳奇小提琴家呂思清，在 《梁祝》小提琴協奏曲問世 65 週年的那一刻，為臺灣聽眾獻上這首經典作品。 與在地音樂家共榮、共好，國樂才能成為大家共有的美好園地，因此，持續推動臺灣作 曲家作品，是北市國長期堅持的重點；我們也樂意安排來自海外頂尖國樂作品，彼此相 互切磋、觀摩、成長。

Whether being rhapsodic or profound, melancholic or restrained, the beautiful sound of silk & bamboo ensemble has a wide spectrum of expressiveness. It has been over a year working closely with TCO as its Principle Conductor, I am glad to have the opportunity playing with so many excellent artists, sharing with them splendid programs in front of enthusiastic audiences. We have planned more exciting programs for the 2023/24 season. After the critically acclaimed performance of Kahchun WONG (Principle Conductor of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra) with TCO last season, Nodoka OKISAWA (Principle Conductor of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra) will be on the podium in a TCO concert this year, making her first appearance directing a Chinese orchestra. Sharing the stage is the renowned violist Megumi KASAKAWA. Hopefully, the collaboration with these two internationally acclaimed artists of the new generation will initiate creative ideas and further development for TCO. For the opening concert of the 2024 Taipei Traditional Arts Festival, we will offer a fascinating program featuring Twincussion Duo and brilliant young percussionist WU Hsin-Hsuan, all making their debut with TCO. Before closing the 2024 Taipei Traditional Arts Festival Opening Concert, TCO will have the legendary violinist LU Siqin performing the audience favorite Butterfy Concerto, celebrating the 65th Anniversary of this iconic work.

While introducing masterpieces for the Chinese orchestra from around the world to the audience, it is also our main goal to work closely with local musicians, including the promotion of Taiwanese composers’ works. Together we could build a bright future for our music feld.

The shining moment in any TCO concert is generated from highly trained top-tier performers who are passionately dedicated to their crafts. In this new season, the audience will again be thrilled to witness the talents of TCO members radiating on stage, performing more commissioned works and other new compositions.

張 宇安 CHANG Yu-An

生於臺北，長於澎湖，張宇安自 2016 年獲布加勒斯特國際

指揮大賽首獎起展開其指揮生涯。

2018 年獲邀參與檀閣鄔音樂節（Tanglewood Music Festival）指揮其交響樂團，2018 至 2020 樂季任職美國波

士頓交響樂團（Boston Symphony Orchestra）助理指揮，

2022 年接任臺北市立國樂團首席指揮，並持續於歐美亞各地 指揮演出，足跡遍及德國、美國、捷克、義大利、匈牙利、 羅馬尼亞、斯洛伐克等。

張宇安 16 歲時加入馬公高中國樂社而開始接觸音樂，後考入 國立臺灣師範大學音樂系所，由許瀞心教授啟蒙指揮，畢業 後再赴德國隨愛華德（Christian EHWALD）、鮑姆（Hans-

Dieter BAUM）兩位指揮教授深入研習， 2022 年取得柏林音 樂學院（Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Berlin）管弦樂 指揮最高藝術文憑（Meisterklasse）。

2019 年 8 月，張宇安指揮波士頓交響樂團於檀閣 鄔音樂節首度登台， 2020 年 1 月再於波士頓交

響大廳擔綱 4 場樂季音樂會，獲樂評以「縝密、

清澈、兼具生命力的奇蹟」評價之。

張宇安與愛妻唐愷均現居柏林。

Born in Taipei and raised in Penghu, Taiwan, CHANG Yu-An was awarded the 1st. prize of the International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest in 2016.

In 2018, he served as conducting fellow at Tanglewood Music Festival and was then appointed as Assistant Conductor to the Boston Symphony Orchestra for two seasons until 2020. He is appointed as Principal Conductor of the Taipei Chinese Orchestra in 2022 as continuing his conducting activities across Europe, America, and Asia.

Yu-An began his music journey at the age of 16 with traditional instruments. Prof. Apo Ching-Hsin HSU was his first mentor leading his way into the feld of conducting. He persuaded further education in Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Berlin, under Prof. Christian EHWALD and Prof. Hans-Dieter BAUM in Master and Meisterklasse degree.

In August 2019, Yu-An made his Tanglewood debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He then led 4 subscription concerts in Boston Symphony Hall in January 2020, which the critics described as “A marvel of precision, expression and clarity.”

In 2016, Yu-An married the girl of his dreams, TANG Kai-Chuan. They live together in Berlin.

江 振豪 CHIANG Chen-Hao

臺北市立國樂團副指揮，臺灣最活躍的青年指揮家之一。除 國樂團曲目與經典交響作品外，亦擅長當代音樂作品，多次 擔綱新作首演指揮，並大量涉足流行音樂以及劇場等跨界合 作，在各領域皆廣受好評。

於 2014 年首屆臺灣國樂團「菁音爭揮」青年指揮選拔比賽 中獲冠軍，並曾以最年輕入圍者之姿，受邀於香港中樂指揮 大賽與臺北市立國樂團國際指揮大賽。

2020 年臨時接替因故無法演出的客席指揮家，帶領北市國上 臺演出，完成一次艱鉅而完美的任務，獲得團內外一致好評。

此外在管弦樂領域亦有卓越表現，曾入圍 International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest、

National Radio Television of Albania Conducting Competition 與 Nino Rota Conducting Competition。

江氏目前於丹麥皇家音樂學院攻讀最高文憑。

CHIANG Chen-Hao, one of the most active young conductors in Taiwan, started working with TCO since 2016 and is currently its associate conductor. In addition to the traditional works, the familiarity with the contemporary ones equips him to conduct the premieres of several newly composed pieces. And He is involved and welcomed in many other fields, such as pop music and the theater. In 2014, CHIANG received the first prize in the first competition for promising conductors held by the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan. He was the youngest semi-fnalist in both the second International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music and the first TCO International Conducting Competition.

Sat in at the last minute for a guest conductor during a TCO concert in 2020 which was highly received from both audience and members of the orchestra. He was also nominated in the 6 th International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest, the first National Radio Television of Albania International Conducting Competition and the Nino Rota Conducting Competition.

GHIANG is currently pursuing Advanced Postgraduate (Soloist) diploma at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

詹 秉翔 CHAN Ping-Hsiang

詹秉翔現為近年備受期待的臺灣青年指揮家之一，其指揮 簡練且具質樸內斂的音樂詮釋風格，2023-24 年任臺北市立

國樂團副指揮。2018 年參加臺灣國樂團「2018 菁英爭揮

NCO 指揮新秀選拔」比賽，受評審、團員、作曲家一致 肯定，榮獲冠軍與「最佳作品詮釋獎」。自幼音樂學習由 鋼琴、胡琴啟蒙，經歷橫跨中西樂類。曾於 2019 年入圍第

10 屆布加勒斯特國際指揮大賽（10th Edition International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest）。

曾合作指揮樂團包括：臺北市立國樂團、臺灣國樂團、TCO 學院國樂團、台南樂集、台北愛樂管弦樂團等。在傳統經典 西樂、國樂曲目外，亦涉略當代音樂作品、劇場、紀錄片等跨 界製作。2018 年受邀參與兩廳院主辦之「新點子樂展─無人 音樂會」，與美國史丹佛音樂聲學中心（CCRMA）合作音樂 劇場演出。2020 年受邀參與臺南藝術節，由十鼓擊樂團策畫， 結合管弦樂團與舞蹈劇場之大型跨界製作《島嶼傳說》。

詹君為國立臺灣師範大學音樂學系指揮 組碩士，主修管弦樂指揮，師事許 瀞 心教授。在學期間曾受 Sir Neville

MARRINER, Christian EHWALD, Gilbert VARGA, 呂紹嘉、陳美安、葉聰、余隆 等多位大師指導，受益匪淺。

CHAN Ping-Hsiang is an up-and-coming young Taiwanese conductor known for his concise yet precise conducting style. In 2018, he won frst prize and Best Interpretation Award at the National Chinese Orchestra of Taiwan's competition for young conductors. In 2019, he was shortlisted for the 10th International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest.

CHAN graduated with a Master's in orchestral conducting from National Taiwan Normal University, under Professor Apo Ching-Hsin HSU. During his studies, he gained experience as assistant conductor for the NTNUSO, championing new compositions with young composers and participating in masterclasses with renowned conductors including Sir Neville MARRINER, Christian EHWALD, Gilbert VARGA, Gabor HOLLERUNG, LÜ Shao-chia, Long YU, and Mei-Ann CHEN, etc.

His background gives him versatility across Western and Chinese repertoire. He has guest conducted ensembles including the Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO), National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan (NCO), TCO Academy Orchestra, Tainan Chinese Orchestra, and Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition, he explores contemporary music and cross-disciplinary productions. In 2018, he participated in the production "Concert of Machines" with CCRMA at the National Performing Arts Center. In 2020, he worked on "The Legend of Island" production combining orchestra, Chinese instruments, and dance theater.

For the 2023-24 season, CHAN holds the position of Associate Conductor with the Taipei Chinese Orchestra. He continues to be one of Taiwan's most promising young conductors, bridging musicality across Eastern and Western traditions.

陳 慧君 CHEN Hui - Chun

臺北市立國樂團樂團首席。畢業於國立臺灣藝術大學，佛光 大學藝術學研究所，師承陳淑芬、吳榮燦、陳如祁老師。同 時也長年赴大陸隨安如礪、林心銘教授學習，並向許多二胡 名家請益。

在國際上多次以獨奏家身份受邀參加海外藝術季、文化節擔 任獨奏或協奏演出，足跡遍及歐、美等數十國。2000 年獲羅

馬尼亞 Timisoara 交響樂團邀請於音樂季中舉辦二胡獨奏會。

同年受邀與羅馬尼亞 Oradea 愛樂交響樂團合作演出《長城 隨想》，2002 年受澳門政府邀請與上海交響樂團及澳門交 響樂團共同於澳門回歸三週年音樂會中演出高胡協奏曲《梁 祝》，之後陸續與長榮交響樂團、台北愛樂管弦樂團、台北 香頌管弦樂團、上海民樂團、江蘇省演藝集團民樂團、台北 青年國樂團等樂團合作演出。

在臺灣首演國內外知名作曲家之二胡作品十餘首。2009 年受 邀於總統府介壽館音樂會中演奏譚盾先生的二胡與揚琴作品 《雙闕》，並與臺北市立國樂團合作演出大型協奏曲，並於 國內外許多重要音樂會中擔任協奏。其演奏之高胡曲《潯陽 月夜》、《漁歌》；二胡協奏曲《憶 江南》、《月夜》收錄於許多專輯當中。

多次於國家音樂廳，國家演奏廳舉辦 胡琴獨奏會，展現個人之純熟技巧與 多樣的音樂風貌。除了演奏之外同時 也擔任教學工作不遺餘力，任教於國 立臺灣師範大學音樂系、國立臺灣藝

術大學中國音樂學系，其所教導的學 生在各項二胡比賽中屢獲大獎，皆有 優異的表現。

CHEN Hui-Chun currently serves as the concertmaster of TCO. Her music expression is skillful, heartwarming and modest, and she is committed to explore the traditional aesthetics of Chinese music while exemplifying the artistic excellence of erhu.

CHEN was frequently invited to various art festivals across the world, performing concertos as the soloist, setting her foot in dozens of countries. In 2002, in celebrating the third anniversary of Return to China, Macau Government invited CHNE to play gaohu concerto Butterfly Lovers with Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra. In 2000, Musical Timisoara International Festival in Romania invited CHEN to deliver a recital. Later that year, she served as the principal, performing The Great Wall Capriccio with Symphonic Orchestra of Oradea State Philharmony. She also collaborated with Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, Taipei Chanson Chamber Orchestra, Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra of Jiangsu Performing Arts Group, Taipei Youth Chinese Orchestra and counting. CHEN has premiered over 10 titles of new music for erhu by important contemporary composers all over the world. In 2009, She gave the premier of TAN Dun‘s Shuang Que in the Chieh Shou Hall of the Presidential Offce Building in Taipei. Her interpretations of gaohu pieces A Moon Night at Xunyang and Fisherman's Song, erhu concertos Memories of Jiangnan and Moon Night, all have been recorded and included in various albums.

CHEN delivered several recitals at National Concert Hall and National Recital Hall. Beside her concert musician career, she is a devoting teacher at the same time. She instructs at the Department of Music, NTNU and the Department of Chinese Music, NTUA. Her pupils won prizes in many notable music competitions with distinguished performances.

CHEN sat under several erhu masters, such as CHEN Shu-Fen, WU JungTsan and CHEN Ju-Chi. For a long time she came to China to be tutored by Prof. AN RuLi and Prof. LIN XinMing, among other prominent erhu masters.

TCO 嶄新樂季伊始，由 TCO 首席指揮張宇安攜手國際知名琵琶演奏家吳蠻，帶來趙 季平為其量身創作的第二琵琶協奏曲，中阮首席馬欣妤演繹作曲家何啟榮為 TCO「跨 樂季協奏曲委創計劃」所創作的《水龍吟》，讓 3 位音樂家一同帶領您走入超凡入聖 的音樂極致。

古曲今樂交織，創演名家薈萃，國樂極致，盡收於此。

For the inaugural concert of the 2023/24 season, CHANG Yu-An, the Principle Conductor of TCO, will join hand with world renowned Pipa master WU Man in a performance of ZHAO Jiping’s Second Pipa Concerto which was tailor-made for WU. The concert also features Vincent HO’s The Water Dragon, commissioned by TCO under its Cross-Season Concerto Commission Program, with soloist MA Hsin-Yu, TCO’s Principle Zhongruan performer. The audience will certainly be thrilled by the superlative musicianship of these performers in a program encompassing traditional and contemporary Chinese orchestral masterpieces.

「今日前衛，明日經典」，昔日的經典也能是今日前衛的沃土。北市國低音提琴首席 陳弘之與爵士低音提琴家徐崇育共同合作，藉由爵士的觀點對國樂與西樂裡的低音提 琴經典進行探索，擴展技巧與音樂語言的豐富性，也展現低音提琴媒合多元文化的絕 佳能力，也帶來融合「爵士、探戈」與「中西經典」的新式「前衛」低音提琴音樂。

Today’s Avant-garde could be the classics of tomorrow. The classics from the past could also become the fertilizer of today’s Avant-garde. To showcase the double bass as an excellent medium of cross-culture entanglement, CHEN Hung-Chih, the principle contrabassist of TCO, will collaborate with Jazz bass player Vincent HSU in this concert to expand the musical idioms and performance skills of double bass with works drawn from Western and Chinese music repertoires, mingled with Jazz perspectives.

李哲藝，與兩團聲部首席同臺獻藝。在中西方樂器的競奏與和鳴之間，藉音樂細膩刻 畫臺灣自然景觀、地理人文和歷史脈絡的多樣風貌；或在親切旋律中，喚起您記憶中 珍藏的臺灣。精湛的表演，唯美的聲音，與您不見不散。

This series of three spectacular concerts signifes the frst collaboration between TCO, the frst professional Chinese orchestra in Taiwan, and OneSong Orchestra, a new force promoting Taiwanese music in form of Classical music. Sharing the stage are three conductors, YU HsingYi, TSENG Wei-Yung and LEE Che-Yi, along with the section chairs of the two orchestras. Magnificent Taiwanese landscapes and rich cultural history will be portrayed through the weaving of Chinese and Western orchestral sounds. Streams of familiar melodies will certainly evoke precious memories of many audience members.

臺三線、六堆及臺九線花東地區的原鄉客家人，為了討生活而帶著渾身傳統技藝，寓 居在龍山寺為信仰中心的臺北艋舺。街頭巷尾的中藥行、草藥鋪和茶莊，都有客寓艋 舺的身影。這場音樂會，透過臺北市立國樂團、田屋客家八音，與新生代客家金曲獎 音樂家羅文裕、謝宇威、劉榮昌、邱廉欽、羅思容共創共演，讓我們了解臺北客家不 只是山歌，更有客寓艋舺造新聲。

Originated from areas along the Provincial Route 3, Liuk-Toi region and Provincial Route 9 on the east coast, many Hakka people, highly trained in traditional skills, moved to work in the Monga district of Taipei. Such figures could be easily spotted in traditional Chinese pharmacies, herbal shops and tea houses around Monga’s streets. This gala concert features Tien Wu Beiguan Bayin Troupe and prize-winning young Hakka musicians Wing LO, HSIEH Yu-Wei, LIU Jung-Chang, CHIU Lien-Chang and LO Si-Rong, joining force with TCO in a blockbuster presentation of new age Hakka music from Monga.

國樂的境界，又能如何突破？古琴廣陵派傳人石冰、旅日聲樂家張杏月、演奏歌唱作

詞作曲俱佳的新生代音樂才子范揚景，以歌劇指揮碰撞古琴演奏、傳統與流行共唱、

跨器樂演奏與電子音樂激盪出感官衝擊，煉化聽覺的無極之境，證明國樂毫無極限。

Whether being the spiritual practices of Zen or Tibetan Buddhism, the movements of Tai Chi or Chinese calligraphy, they all deal with the elevation of the body and mind into a higher level. This multimedia concert features Guangling School Guqin musician SHI Bing, Vocalist Elaine CHANG and multi-talented musician FAN Yang-Jing, presenting crossover performances of traditional and popular music which would be sure to challenge the sensory system as well as the limits of traditional Chinese music.

睽違二十年，TCO 再度踏上藍海故鄉—馬祖，參與「馬祖國際藝術島」活動，演奏耳

熟能詳《陽明春曉》、《漁舟凱歌》等國樂名曲，以及膾炙人口的《 999 朵玫瑰》、《發

燒 e 世代》等改編曲，並以《海上桃花源》與〈心海風燈〉向馬祖的土地與住民致敬。

這場音樂會將帶領樂迷穿梭時空，勾動初次知曉這些音樂時的悸動，重溫你我回憶中 的黃金年代。

Absented for 20 years, TCO will return to Matsu across the blue sea to participate in “The International Matsu Biennial”. The program will include such audience favorites as Spring Dawn at Yang-Ming Mountain and Fisherman’s Song of Great Catch, as well as popular hits 999 Roses and Gen E Fever. TCO will also dedicate to the people of Matsu with Ocean Utopia and Lantern of Heart's Ocean. Let’s immerse in these golden melodies which are beyond the boundaries of space and time.

The Rising Stars concert series is entering its third season this year. Being a promotional program, brilliant young performers are selected from professional Chinese orchestras and esteemed music schools through rigorous audition process to perform concertos with different Chinese orchestras around Taiwan. This concert features YANG Chien-I (percussionist, Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra), YANG Ce (Erhu performer, Taoyuan Chinese Orchestra) and CHANG Se-Han (Erhu performer, National Tainan University of Arts) in a program which includes contemporary master pieces such as The Sisters’ Island and two Erhu concertos The True Hearted, and Beacon Fire

Acting outside the box would be the epitome of this concert. Suona virtuoso LIN Jui-Ping will showcase his new-age performance style with innovation and vigor.

Focusing on original compositions, the program features commissioned works by young composers DIAO Peng, YUAN Cuan, HSU Wei-Ting and LIU Ting-Chien to explore multifaceted nuances as well as daring colors of the Suona in both aural and visual effects.

傳統戲劇為音樂家啟發靈感，當代影劇音樂更早已融入你我生命回憶。首席指揮張宇 安精選傳達出戲劇各種面向的曲目，邀請活躍於兩岸的琵琶演奏家黃立騰，臺北市民 族器樂大賽獲獎者笛演奏家黃士晏，一同以音樂進入傳統戲劇的繽紛世界，乃至生命 對戲劇的不同體驗、甚至於如夢人生亦如戲。雖無扮相身段，同樣能使您親歷戲劇的 每道驚喜瞬間以及每段峰迴路轉。

While elements from various traditional theatres often serve as the motif for composers, contemporary diegetic music has long been immersed in people’s daily life. TCO’s Principle Conductor CHANG Yu-An hand-picked the program for this gala concert with theatrical elements in mind which features the talents of young Pipa virtuoso HUANG Li-Teng and the top prize winner of last year’s Taipei Chinese Instrumental Competition, Dizi soloist HUANG ShiYan. Though without stage sets and actors, the audience will enjoy a fantastic journey flled with dramatic impacts from Jingju (Beijing opera) to TV series and sitcoms.

八〇年代音樂會座無虛席，年年推出專輯而張張經典，一代國樂界偶像，胡琴大師的 同義詞，對胡琴的狂熱使得他遁居三年只為精通中國十二種拉弦樂器 風靡當年無數

國樂迷的胡琴家黃安源，傳奇再臨中山堂。此行與同為胡琴名家的黃晨達父子攜手同 臺，演出多首協奏曲，將展現倆位默契精妙、技巧高超的琴技。十五年前若不巧錯過 黃安源與 TCO，這次切莫再次留下遺憾。

In 1980s, Master WONG On Yuen was essentially one of the icons of Erhu in Chinese music filed. His sold out annual albums and legendary concerts have been the quintessential classics for many music fans. He was once in sabbatical for three years just to master twelve different varieties of Erhu. After absenting from Taiwan stage for ffteen years, the master will join hands with his son, Erhu virtuoso WONG Sun Tat in this concert at the historical Zhongshan Hall showcasing their supreme musicianship with several major concertos.

中國四大文學名著之一的《紅樓夢》，是曹雪芹耗盡畢生心血才智的鉅作。透過書寫 賈寶玉、林黛玉及薛寶釵三人的愛情與婚姻悲劇，以及賈寶玉親戚賈府、史家、薛家、 王家等四大家族的興衰，讓賈府大觀園內的理想世界與園外的現實世界，無所遁形地 呈現在世人眼簾。

這部傳世數百年的章回小說，多次被改編為戲曲或影視作品呈現在舞台上，其中 1987

年大陸改編的文學電視連續劇最引人注目。這齣電視劇配樂由王立平歷時 4 年多所完

成，十多首膾炙人口的歌曲，風格獨特、高雅，旋律優美，在華人地區更掀起了一陣《紅 樓夢》熱。

無獨有偶地，作曲家周娟 2014 年取自唐代元稹《離思》詩句中「半緣君」為題的琵琶 與樂隊作品，借薛濤與元稹相戀卻是一幕遙遠淒清的結局，載有情人為情所困之思。

作曲家以音樂的獨特視角來解讀女性成長之過程，是當代一部經典之作。

迺忠為廿一世紀第一個龍年創作的大型擊樂雙協奏曲。

一場擊樂家們的鼓樂盛宴，龍年一開春，正以黃金陣容磅礡登場中。

Winner of several international competitions, the Twincussion Duo has served as the brand ambassador of European regional YAMAHA Percussions and Innovative Percussion in the U.S. For their debut concert with TCO, the duo will perform Pius CHEUNG’s Double Percussion Concerto. The program also features KUAN Nai-Chung’s monumental Double Concerto for Chinese and western percussion instruments. Originally written to celebrate the frst Year of Dragon in the 21st Century, this concerto will be played jointly by WU Hsin-Hsuan, a member of Les Percussions de Strasbourg, and HSIEH Tsung-Hsin, the percussion section chair of TCO in this concert which opens the Taipei Traditional Arts Festival at the beginning of 2024 Year of Dragon with great fares.

What kind of crazy sparkles would it generate when traditional Chinese orchestra clashes with trombone and electric bass ? Known for his fusion styles encompassing Jazz and Afro-Cuban music, double bassist Vincent HSU is joining hands with TCO double bass chair CHEN Hung-Chih to present a program which includes the exotic La Serenade by Evgeny PETROV. Also featured in the concert is Italian Trombonist Peter STEINER. Hailed as “a new trombone star within his generation,” he will make his debut with TCO performing Derek BOURGEOIS’s Trombone Concerto, Op. 114.

香港竹韻小集多年來積極對粵樂

（廣東音樂）文化進行保育並向海

內外推廣，並由新生代音樂家來展

示傳統文化的薪火相傳。音樂會精

選樂團從 2019 年起推出的「絃歌

不絕」計劃中，由粵樂名家丘鶴儔

於 1916 至 1932 年間編撰之《絃

歌必讀》等 7 本專著所收錄之作

品，通過各種特色樂器的不同組

合，以及百年唱片的記譜復刻，展

示粵樂二十世紀上半葉的風貌及 嬗變。

年僅 32 歲即榮獲 2019 年法國貝桑頌青年指揮大賽冠軍的日籍指揮家沖澤和佳，優異 表現獲得樂壇高度矚目。隨後獲邀與多個職業交響樂團合作，展開她忙碌的指揮生涯。

2023 年 4 月，她出任京都市交響樂團第 14 任首席指揮，成為該團

一位女性首席指揮。

Winning Concours International de Jeunes Chefs d'Orchestre de Besançon 2019 at 32, the highly acclaimed Japanese conductor Nodoka OKISAWA has built a busy career with invitations to perform with many important orchestras around the world. She will be the 14th principle conductor of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra in April 2023, becoming the frst female musician taking the position since the orchestra founded in 1956.

This concert will make maestro OKISAWA’s debut with any Chinese orchestra, for which she selects a program comprising works by three Japanese composers along with other new works for the Chinese orchestra. Don’t miss the opportunity to closely experience the exuberant energy and stage charisma emitting from the podium in this concert.

天目茶碗源自宋代，黑色釉料將浩 瀚宇宙匯於盞內方寸之間，飲茶之 人得以觀其形、悟其道。琴曲亦如 是，所謂「八音克諧」，當演奏達 到美妙和諧、有倫有序，即能成就 神人以和的自然之美。

居住在臺灣的 16 個原住民族，擁有多彩多姿的族群及文化，他們生性粗獷豪邁，樂天

安命；每每節日、工作或閒暇時，總以天籟般的嗓音及歌舞來自娛及娛人。

三位作曲家親遊阿里山或多年蒐集原住民音樂及歌舞後，用音符寫下深烙在心頭的點 點滴滴，以絲竹或小提琴或史詩般的連篇歌曲，表達他們對山林美景的敬仰及群族文 化的感動，還有那撼動人心的原民天籟。

Particularly rich in their cultural heritages, the sixteen groups of Taiwanese indigenous peoples have distinctive outlooks on life in which song and dance are not just the vehicles to showcase their talent but rather being served to celebrate the heaven and earth. This concert includes the works of three composers who had done extensive feld works on those indigenous peoples’ music and culture. Whether employing silk and bamboo ensembles, violins or epic song cycles, these compositions are the distillations of their deep impressions of the heavenly music echoing through the mountains and forests where the indigenous culture had been cultivated and thriving for centuries. Defnitely one of the most memorable concert of this season that no TCO fans should miss.

有「東方帕格尼尼」之稱的小提琴家呂思清與他的史特拉第瓦里名琴，將與 TCO 帶來

他那無人能出其右、甚至於作曲者何占豪與陳鋼都不禁熱淚盈眶的《梁祝》協奏曲。

TCO 嗩吶聲部首席林子由，將臺灣首演作曲家李博的《悟空七章》，全曲七個樂章長 達 40 餘分鐘，藉由齊天大聖西遊取經的故事，隱喻當今社會自我的多重角色及關係。

作曲家余忠元為樂團量身創作的《走馬 . 非馬》，也將首度發聲，世界首演。

透過三位音樂家盡情的揮灑與音樂情感的宣洩

In this highly anticipated returning engagement of the “Oriental Paganini,” LU Siqin will bring his personal Stradivarius to perform the iconic Butterfy Concerto with TCO. It was said that LU’s sensitive rendition of this work had made even the composer HO Zhanhao cried. Also in the program is the Taiwan premiere of LI Bo’s 40-plus-minute long Seven Chapters of SUN Wukong which take the legend of the Monkey King as the point of departure to relate the multiplicity of characters and relationships in contemporary society. The work will feature soloist LIN Tzu-You, TCO’s Suona section chair. The audience will be mesmerized by the virtuosity and musicianship of these three musicians.

超編腔的名劇選段。李氏兄弟更創作雙京胡協奏曲，由李超及其入門弟子張舒然共同 演繹。京劇音樂的典範與未來，盡收眼底，不容錯過。

Highly acclaimed Beijing Opera masters, LEE Men and LEE Chao brothers’authority and artistry on Jinghu performance have met with no equals in the field. Rigorously trained at China National Peking Opera Company at young age, they later moved to Taiwan and passed down the essence of the crafts to younger generations. In the closing concert of the 2024 Taipei Traditional Arts Festival, LEE Chao will premiere the LEE brothers’ concerto for Jinghus with his longtime disciple CHANG Shu-Jan. Also in the program are highlights from several blockbuster Beijing Operas as arranged by LEE Chao, featuring seven divas e.g. WEI Hai-Min, TANG Wen-Hwa, JU An-Li and talents from younger generations, e.g. SHENG Jian, HUANG Shih-Ya, LIN Ting-Yu and KUNG Yueh-Tzu. Music lovers should not miss this gala event which encompasses Beijing Opera’s glorious past and bright future.
