Message of the EP Head Hello everybody,

Celebrating Our 11 Years of Success
This year, we have achieved great success in terms of many academic competitions. Our students received the first and second place during the 2013 EP OPEN HOUSE in both Semi and Final round in competitions such as the Singing Contest, Skit Competition, Impromptu Speech, Spelling Bee, Math and Science Project. We are also selected as representatives of the Secondary Education Service Area 8 (SESAO 8) in the Provincial and Regional Level of the 63rd “Thai Children Cultural Talent (งานศิลปหัตถกรรมนักเรียน)” in competitions such as Skit, Multiskills, Impromptu Speech and Buddhist Chanting. In addition, we also won the 2nd place in the Japanese skit competition and one of our EP students was the representative for the National Multi-skills Competition and National Speech Contest. We have tried to foster our students’ academic achievements through various extra-curricular activities apart from learning in a four-walled classroom setting which are valuable experiences that they can use in the future. In achieving this glorious success, we received cooperation and collaboration from teachers, students and parents. I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for all your active participation and unending support. Graduation time of our Matayom 3 and Matayom 6 students has approached once again. It is difficult for me to express how I feel about these graduating students. If only I could stop the world from moving, I would, for I don’t want to say good bye. They have been so amazing especially the Matayom 6 students who remained good examples to other students in EP. Congratulations, graduates of 2013-2014. I wish you happiness and success as you enter the next level of your education. Don’t forget to share with us your joyful experiences and triumphs. Always uphold the EP name with you wherever you may be. Kalayanee Reunthong Head of the English Program

Until my last day in Germany of the year 2013 , I couldn’t imagine to live in Thailand. I couldn’t imagine all! I had no idea what life I will live here and now I can’t imagine to go back. I have the feeling I will stay for the rest of my life in Ratchaburi with my new friends together. This is crazy! Hi, my name is Eva and I am 18 years old. I come from Boizenburg. This is a little town not far from Hamburg. I know everybody and everybody know me. I had the wish to go out of the town to have more experiences and more impressions in my life and yes finally I found that after I searched I had here a very awesome time but I had also some bad days. But I took the bad days to learn from them. In this one year I was in the best class ever!!! Every day I woke up and I was happy to see my friends. Really! And the teachers are all very nice and I saw that the relationship between teacher and student is so much better than in Germany. I will miss all of them but I know I will come back one time. I made a lot of trips here with my family to see more of the landscape of Thailand. So I got many impressions of this country. Because of my family I learned a lot about food, tradition, culture and religion. The picture that I have now from Thailand is so different from the picture of the reports in the TV in Germany. I think I see Thailand more realistic now. I thank every person who made my exchange year successful. My heart is beating now for Ratchaburi and all the lovely people that I met there. A time to never forget.!
My experience in the land of smiles!

I’m Irene Maffei (ปลายฟ้า) and I’m from Italy.Thailand is so beautiful and I’m really in love with this country: my host family is cute, my friends are always ready to help me, crazy (same me, so it’s not a problem), sweet and very funny, the people always smile and I like it a lot! The food is one of the best I’ve ever eaten (I love the fruit a lot); at the beginning of this experience I couldn’t eat spicy, but now I can’t live without it! In school, a lot of people know me and when they smile at me, I immediately become happy. During this year, I’ve learned two new languages, Thai and French, and I’ve improved my English studying in the fantastic English Program of the Ratchaborikanukroh School. My friends and my teachers are fantastic! The things that particularly made me excited have been: the Sports Day Parade in Sukhothai with the traditional Thai dress, the Grand Palace in Bangkok, the Loy Krathong Festival, seeing the elephants in Lampang, dancing with the disable children in Mae Sot, the Historical Park in Sukhothai, taking the tuk tuk, the Khao Yai National Park, the floating market in Ayutthaya, the English camps, the importance of the monks and the temples, the Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, the New Year’s Day at Hua Hin.. but my experience isn’t finished yet and I hope I’ll have the possibility to visit other places! One day, I’m sure I will come back to Thailand with my Italian friends because I want to show them how beautiful this country is and I want to visit more places, especially in the South because I love tanned skin (even if Thai people hate it 555).It’s the most beautiful experience in my life. And always remember, “It’s not right, it’s not wrong. It’s just different!” Thank you, Thailand, for the growth that I have gained and for discovering this magnificent part of the world unknown to me before! ฉันรักคุณ ^^ Irene Maffei Celebrating Our 11 Years of Success

From the first step that I took in the English Program, I have gained lots of knowledge and experience. The EP is not just a school but it’s a family. This second family taught me how to learn, how to live and how to be a good and responsible person. A year as the EP Student Body President was an amazing experience and gift for me. I can still remember the first moment that everyone addressed me as “President”. I knew then that it was not going to be an easy ride for I was carrying a huge responsibility on my shoulder. I was so scared that I wouldn’t be good enough or that no one will believe and trust my decisions, however, with my EP family’s support, I have become who I am now. My council and I walked through the trials and triumphs, good times and the bad times, which forged a stronger friendship that will last forever. It is sad to know that I have to leave this wonderful family soon. I will miss this place a lot, my second home. As a member of the EP Family, I would like to ask all of you to take good care of our EP. Don’t let anyone bring us down, break our bonds or weaken our powerful unity and show them how PROUD you are to be a part of this amazing family. Thank you. I wish you good luck for your future. ขอแสดงความยินดีด้วยกับการสำเร็จการ ศึกษาขอให้โชคดีในอนาคตด้วยนะ Ajarn Tadsika (P’ Pang) M.3, I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smile, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities and to the most special places your heart has ever been. M.6, The important thing is this - to be able to give up in any given moment, all that you are, for what you can become. Graduation is only a concept. In real life, every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that, you’ll make a difference. Good Luck to u all, 老師Gig

Dear M3 students, Firstly, I want to thank you all for being such a consistently wonderful class. You have always been polite and hard working. I am delighted to have had the opportunity to be your advisor for the past three years. I want to wish you all the best of luck in your future, and I will really miss every one of you. Keep on doing what you are doing. Be happy every day. Live life to the fullest, and Keep in touch!! Dear M6, It has been great to see you mature into the responsible young adults you have become. I wish you all great success and happiness in your future and I hope you keep in touch. Maybe our paths will cross again someday!
To M3, Congratulations student! A new door has been opened up for you. New opportunities and new challenges are way up ahead waiting for you.Don’t be afraid because what lies behind you, and what lies before you are small matters compared to what lies within you. Believe in yourself and learn, because what you have committed to your mind is yours forever. It’s your power. To the M6, It’s time to celebrate! All your hard work paid off and you have seen your efforts. But it’s not done yet. You still have dreams to achieve. May it be the driving force that will move you to where you want to be someday. One of the greatest principles of success is to be able to give up in any moment all that we are for what we can become. So take risks and give up fear. Learn like you’re going to live forever. Time flies so fast. The joyful days are always so short for now it’s your graduation. We experienced laughing together, sharing tears, knowing each other more. However, graduation does not mean the end but the beginning. It is not meant for sadness but joy. Let us remember this wonderful day together. For M3,
As a new teacher, I feel that our times together, although we see each other often, were too short. However, in that few months, your faces, your voices and your smart and lovely looks are enough to leave a deep and indelible impression in me. We had arguments, we had laughs, we had angry times and happy times. Life has given us so many memorable moments, hasn’t it? Bless you, my lovely students, as you enter a new world, shaping a new self.

My Dear M.6 Students, Well, it’s time to begin the next phase of your journey through life. I am so proud of each and every one of you. Please don’t forget your E.P. home and most especially A. Mama (A.K.A. Miss Universe). Each and every one of you holds a very special place in my heart I will never forget you. I’m gonna miss you - remember where I live and visit often. Good luck, guys. Do us proud!!! Dear M.3 Students, I am so happy to have been your teacher, even for so short a time. I wish each and every of you the best for your futures and most of all, I hope to see you back in the English Program next year. Good luck, everybody. Lots of love, Ajarn Mama M3, “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.” – Buddha. Remember your Anapanasati meditation!! Peace & Love, Ajarn Bradley
To the M6 students, Congratulations! I’ll miss you, but I’m happy and excited to see u moving on to the next stage in your lives. I was always impressed with your closeness and kindness to each other. I felt very happy to be around you and I’ve got a lot of confidence in your ability and I’m sure you will do great in whatever it is you decide to do! Ajarn Conor To M6, You are a special class to me as my first class in EP. I am most sad to see you all leave. I am also sad to see you take away all of that talent. You are by far the most talented class. But we trust you will use them wisely to help others along your journey. However, I am happy and confident that we have prepared you enough to face some of the challenges you are about to encounter. We will miss you all. Ajarn Othniel To my lovely M3, Congratulations! I still remember when you were all little, crazy, fun, agitating, smart, sweet, loving and fragile M1 students and now you are moving forward to the next step of your education. Keep the friendship no matter where you will go next. Be the best that you can be but always keep your feet on the ground. For those who are leaving RATB, good luck and keep in touch! For those who will stay as EP M4 students, we will see each other again. Love you all! To the M6 students, Congratulations and adulations to you my students. You have all grown to be responsible young man and woman. Most of you were my students in M3 and I remember how hyperactive 3/14 was and how cool and calm (well, most of them) 3/15 was back then. Many achievements, many activities, many fun memories were all made by the M6. It will most unforgettable. I wish you all the best as you enter the next phase of your academic life. Be the best that you can be and carry with you the EP spirit. Keep in touch and always remember that the doors of EP are always open for you. Congratulations, graduates. You make us all proud! Always and forever, Ajarn Rome

Khajee Huang (Yuton 5/14)
YES (Youth Exchange Scholarship) NORTH CAROLINA, USA.
Annyeonghaseyo! My name is Khajee Huang, nickname Yu-Ton. I am an M.5 student in the Ratchaborikanukroh English Program. Last year, I went to America as a foreign exchange student with YES (Youth Exchange Scholarship). I still remember the day I left Thailand for the USA. It was a big challenge for me to get on a plane by myself leaving my family and friends behind. Now as I look back, I can see how fast my time there went. I stayed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a peaceful city where I studied at Salem Academy, a very small all-girl school which has only 250 students where I was a boarding student. I had many host families which included new grandparents, sisters, aunts and uncles. Now I really know what “Salem Sister means. While I was there, I had the opportunity to travel to New York and Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. What a great experience it was. I will NEVER forget my friends, my best friend, my sister, mom, teachers and all those people who were always there for me whenever I was happy or sad. It was an amazing year for me. I met a lot of amazing people and also learned a lot from them. Thanks to my parents who always supported me and to Salem for teaching me a lot about life and a lot about myself. Khajee Huang (Yuton)
Thawalrat Pinkasemjit (Baitoey -2/14), Thunyaluk Glinson (Noy -2/14) Tanwimon Hengseng (Poy- 2/15) & Krittipat Chaiyabud (Krit -3/15) BRIGHTON, ENGLAND
We went to England and lived in Brighton for 3 weeks with the host family. We studied at the Brighton Language College, we met and knew many people, such as Japanese, Chinese, and also English people. We had a chance to go to travel in London by train; we went to many places such as Harrods and Stonehenge Monument. We have learned a lot because of this experience. We became more confident to talk with foreigners and we can apply our knowledge in English to help ourselves as we travel in another country.

The first of the Bi-annual Parent-Teacher meetings was held last June 2,2013. Parents were introduced to the EP Faculty and top EP students in each year level were given awards for their academic achievements. The second meeting was held last December 15, 2013. Our school Director, Mrs. Nuanchan Laksitanon, took a chance to know each parent who were present in the said meeting and encourages them to attend the parent-teacher meeting religiously so that they will have knowledge of their children’s academic development.
