In 2002, Ratchaborikanukroh School, along

with 12 other schools around Thailand, was sanctioned to open English Programs. We are very proud to say that we are celebrating our 10th anniversary this academic year and would like to take this opportunity to take a look back at our progress.

Our program opened in 2003 with just 51 adventurous students (divided into two M.1 classes) and three foreign teachers, one each from Canada, the U.S. and Scottland, along with our first head of program Ajarn Supapan Nasaranthip.

The first three years were a great challenge as the program struggled to find its identity, a lot of hard work for everyone, including the head of the program, Ajarn Supapan, the teachers and especially the students, but by the time the first M.3 class graduated, we had 128 students and the English Program had taken shape. Proudly, our first M.3 graduating class featured a young lady Maneerat Termtanasombat (Pang) who was the only student that year to be accepted at Mahidol Demonstration School and a young man Watcharit Siriudomseth (Sanook) the only student from our school that year that was accepted at the military academy.

We had become a program to be proud of.

Since that time, each of our M.3 graduating classes has had students who have distinguished

themselves by being accepted at Triam Udom, and the Military Academy.

But it was at the end of that third year that

the program faced its greatest dilemma - whether or not to open upper secondary. Not an easy decision. But after a lot of soul searching on behalf of the school director and the head of the program and a great deal of preparation, the program did indeed open for upper secondary in 2006.

group of 23

students who had graduated from

the two graduating E.P. M.3 classes, along with a group of students from other schools. It was a huge challenge at first, most especially getting the students to accept one-another, but accept each other they did and they became a close knit family.

lish Program has grown exponentially. have our own building, and have grown from

Ajarn Supapan, who chose to return to teaching in the regular program,

has since been replaced with Ajarn Kalayanee Runatong who has done an amazing job of molding the English Program to prepare the students to be ready to tackle the new generation of thinking.

Many of our students have

been chosen to participate in foreign exchange programs over the years, traveling to far-away places such as the U.S. France, Germany New Zealand and UK and upon returning have enriched the program by sharing their experiences and knowledge.

With the birth of the ASEAN Community just around the corner and globalization being the undisputed direction of the world, the English Program has set its focus on preparing its students to become citizens, not only of Thailand or of the ASEAN, but as citizens of the world. We are so proud to say that our students have a host of teachers from around the globe who bring, not only the expertise in their subject, but also knowledge of other cultures rich in tradition to our students. Our students have had the privilege of having teachers from: Ireland, Israel, the United States, Poland, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Liberia, the Philippines, Scotland, Canada, China, and Japan, each of whom has brought something special to the studentsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; education.

The proof of the success of any project or program is in its product and it is with such great pleasure that, as we celebrate the 10th year of our success, we also celebrate the graduation of our first English Program students from their tertiary studies.

Message from the Director ขอขอบคุณคุณครูทุกท่านที่มีส่วนช่วยในการพัฒนานักเรียน ทั้งในด้านวิชาการ และด้านคุณลักษณะที่พึ่งประสงค์ โครงการและ กิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่โรงเรียนจัดนั้น เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียน ได้มีโอกาสคิดวางแผนและปฏิบัติด้วยตนเอง เป็นการเพิ่ม ประสิทธิภาพกระบวนการคิดวิเคราะห์

ใน

การศึกษาปี 2555 เป็นอีกปีหนึ่งของความสำเร็จใน การพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาของนักเรียนในโครงการหลักสูตร ภาคภาษาอังกฤษ (English Program)ของโรงเรียนราชโบริกานุเคราะห์ โดยมีผลงานที่แสดงถึงความรู้ ความสามารถและ ทักษะทางด้านภาษาของนักเรียนจากการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมใน โครงการต่างๆ และจากการแข่งขันทักษะทางวิชาการ ซึ่งได้ นำเสนอให้ทราบในวารสารฉบับนี้ ทั้งรางวัลในระดับประเทศ ระดับภาคและระดับจังหวัด นอกจากนี้ดิฉันยังมีโอกาสได้เห็น ความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในการสื่อสารของนักเรียน เมื่อตอนเข้าค่าย Road to ASEAN (Open Mind Open Heart) ที่อ่าวมะนาวจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ รู้สึกชื่นชม และภูมิใจ ที่ได้เห็นนักเรียนใช้ภาษาผ่านการทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ อย่างสนุก สนานและมีความสุข ซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงประสิทธิภาพของ กระบวนการเรียนการสอนของคุณครูเป็นอย่างดี ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักเรียนชั้น ม.3 และ ม.6 ที่มี ความวิริยะ อุตสาหะ อดทน ศึกษาเล่าเรียนจนสำเร็จการศึกษา โธทัส อัลวา เอดิสัน บอกว่า “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” (อัจฉริยภาพ คือ หนึ่งเปอร์เซ็นต์ของแรงบันดาลใจ และอีกเก้าสิบเก้าเปอร์เซ็นต์ คือการทำงานอย่างหนักหน่วง) เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จและงาน สร้างสรรค์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดไม่ใช่ อัจฉริยะหรือ พรสวรรค์หากคือ ความอดทน (Perseverance) อุปสรรคเกิดขึ้นเสมอเกิดขึ้น ทุกวัน และเกิดขึ้นกับทุกคน คนชนะ คือ คนที่อดทนกับมันได้ ขอฝากข้อคิดนี้สำหรับนักเรียนทุกคน ขอขอบคุณคุณครูทุกท่านที่มีส่วนช่วยในการพัฒนา นักเรียนทั้งในด้านวิชาการ และด้านคุณลักษณะที่พึ่งประสงค์ โครงการและกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่โรงเรียนจัดนั้น เพื่อเปิดโอกาส 12

นางนวลจันทร์ ลักษิตานนท์ ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนราชโบริกานุเคราะห์ ให้นักเรียน ได้มีโอกาสคิดวางแผนและปฏิบัติด้วย ตนเอง เป็นการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพกระบวนการคิด วิเคราะห์ ซึ่งโรงเรียนหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าผู้ปกครองจะให้ การสนับสนุน กิจกรรมที่สร้างสรรค์แก่นักเรียนอย่าง ต่อเนื่องตลอดไป สำหรับนักเรียน ชั้น ม.3 และ ม.6 ก็ขอให้ ประสบความสำเร็จในชีวิต ได้เข้าเรียนต่อในสถาบันที่ ต้องการ คุณครูทุกคนดีใจที่เห็นลูกราชโบริกาฯ มีความ เจริญก้าวหน้า เป็นคนดี คนเก่ง เพื่อประกาศศักดิ์ศรี ของราชโบริกานุเคราะห์ (นางนวลจันทร์ ลักษิตานนท์) ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนราชโบริกานุเคราะห์

ขอแสดงความยินดีกับ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 และ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลักสูตร English Program ที่จบการศึกษาปีการศึกษา 2555 ทุกคน และขอให้นักเรียนภาคภูมิใจที่ได้มีโอกาส รับความรู้จาก ครูเจ้าของภาษา ผมขอให้นักเรียนเลือกที่จะศึกษาต่อในหลักสูตรนี้ต่อไปทั้งนี้เพื่อเป็น สินค้าส่งออกหรือ เพื่อลดการขาดดุลทางการศึกษาของประเทศ และเพื่อการประกอบอาชีพในระดับ นานาชาติและเป็นกำลังที่สำคัญของชาติต่อไป สุดท้ายขออวยพรให้นักเรียนทุกคน ประสบความสำเร็จ ในชีวิต สมดังที่ปรารถนาทุกประการ (นายธนู ไผ่ทอง) รองผู้อำนวยการกลุ่มงานบริหารวิชาการ

เป็นอีกวารหนึ่งที่มีโอกาสได้แสดงความยินดีกับนักเรียนคนเก่งและคนดี ของครูที่กำลังจะจบ ม.3, ม.6 ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นความสำเร็จในชีวิตการเรียน ในอีกไม่กี่วันข้างหน้านี้อยากจะบกว่าปีนี้เป็นปีทอง ของโรงเรียนราชโบริกานุเคราะห์ที่ได้รับสิ่งดี ๆ เข้ามามากมาย ล้วนแต่ก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงใน ทางดีขึ้นเหนือสิ่งอื่นใดนั้นคือความสำเร็จของนักเรียนที่เป็นก้าวแรก และจะก้าวต่อไปอย่างมุ่งมั่นตั้งใจ เต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยพลังของความดี ความเก่ง ขอให้ทุกคนโชคดี และสมหวังตลอดไป

Hello everybody,

This year, our 10th aniversary, has been highly successful year for the EP. Our

students have entered and won so many competitions at the national, regional and provincial levels. This is a reward of our continuous effort throughout a decade to improve our students.

As we know, the ASEAN leaders have decided to delay the launch of the ASEAN

Economic Community (AEC) from January 1st to December 31st of 2015 which means we have

one more year to prepare. We all have realized how the ASEAN

Community is going to affect our students’ lives and how important

English is to them in the future. “The English language shall be the

working language of ASEAN.” stated in Article 34 of the ASEAN

Charter. That’s why this year, the theme of our Open House

Activities was “Get Set for ASEAN” and also the theme of our English Camp was “Road to ASEAN – Open Mind, Open

Heart” with the hope that our students will be more aware of

our neighboring countries and the importance of English.

No matter when the AEC is finally established, we’ll keep

up with our mission to develop our students to thier full potenial ,

to prepare them for further study and to prepare them to take

their places as citizens of the ASEAN Community and the world. Lastly, I’d like to congratulate Matayom 3 and

Matayom 6 students on your graduation. I wish you

success and luck in furthering your studies. All of

you always make us proud.

Different competitions were set on different dates and venues for the FINAL ROUND of the EP/MEP OPEN HOUSE 2012. Our Skit, Spelling Bee, Debate and Science Project Team went to Potisarn Pittayakorn School in Bangkok last July 26, 2012. The Debate Team composed of Channanchida Maliwan 3/15 (KluayHom), Sierra Napoli (Sierra) 2/14 and Supakorn Athichalinthorn 3/14 (Pond) won 1st Runner Up – Gold.

The 2-day EP/MEP OPEN HOUSE EXHIBITION 2012 was held last August.

It was the culminating activity for all the skills competitions in the EP/MEP Central and Eastern Region. This year’s theme was “Get Ready for ASEAN 2015” and our EP was proud to lead the VIETNAM station of the said exhibition along with other EP/MEP schools of Zone B. We were assigned to discuss about the Economic and Political Sector of Vietnam. We also had fun-filled games such as, Word Search, Treasure Hunt Quiz, Pin the Vietnam Star and Match-the- Dice Game.

Our Level 4 Singing Contest delegate, Warisara Khemtit 5/14A (Dream) won 1st Runner Up - Gold and Janice Wang 4/14 brought home the bacon as the CHAMPION for Story Telling Level 4. They both performed during the EP/MEP OPEN HOUSE EXHIBITION 2012 at The Mall Ngamngomwan, Bangkok last August 25 - 26, 2012.
