The assignment required the development of a multipage Type Spec Book that featured a chosen typeface. The project involved the use of type; not just a tool for expressing written information but as a strong graphic element. Additionally, the designs utilized a strong visual concept to keep the reader entertained and engaged. The booklets include variations of the typeface and applications in different font sizes.

Short Haircut The Bob Locks using the right hairbrushLong can make a big difference... Short hair style draws people’s attention straight to your face and eyes. Girls with short hair are brimming with confidence and do things their own way.

Short but not too short; a bob expresses the youthfulness in a girl’s personality. This is a person who likes to have fun and has a playful character, but is not too extreme.

It might be the look of some very glamorous ladies, but, super long hair makes people think that you are afraid of change. Keeping the same hairstyle for so many years is not the sign of an adventurous person.

Curly Hair If your curls are natural, it suggests a happy, ‘go lucky’ personality and a person who is comfortable with their own looks. Light 10pt/14pt

Surprised with what I saw in sight You were holding a bouquet of yellows and whites It was an ordinary day but you made it bright You say you just wanna see them pearly whites Beams of sunlight piercing through my window I opened my eyes to a beautiful tomorrow

Look at me with those eyes you’re insecure about As you hide them behind your shades of doubt You stare at me with that smile While your grip gets tighter; Each moment the day gets brighter But your heart beats even louder

Three words I need to say But I’m scared til this day Oh, I’ve had a lot of doubts Though I’m not sure what it’s about

I can’t quite recall dreams as I did before But with you in it, there will be no gore Even when it’s the entire world I explore In any dimension, you are the core

Three years of no one but me But it made me see clearly Though I came up with a theory

Just a typical night person Operating better when the sun is down Thoughts going crazy

That maybe I wasn’t meant for glee

like a super sale in Chinatown

Three months of looking from afar

Time is running faster

Though I don’t quite know who you are But I know there’s something there And I think you too are aware Three months of talking to you every single day We talked til the rising of the day Even when our skies turns grey I must say this love isn’t cliché

My mind still juggling letters Everyone is fast asleep Now I could think better

Three words I need to say But I’m not so scared today I think you get the clue That wanna tell you, I love you

In December 2013 Michael had a skiing accident where he was put in a coma, and in June 16 of 2014 Michael finally woke up from his Coma.

“ Once something is a passion, the motivation is there.”

January 3, 1969

10 Michael Schumacher is a very successful German racing driver, he was born on January 3 1969 in Germany and started karting when he was still four years old, and where his dad changed something in his go-kart brought him to a karting track and by the age of 6 Michael won his first club championship.

Michael’s journey to Formula 1 had already started and he was pretty young exposed to danger, and speed developing all of the skills that made him today. He entered Formula Ford in 1987 and in 1991 Michael entered Formula 1 he entered in the sport in 1991 where he made his debut race for Jordan and he got moved to Benetton from 1991-1995 season and in the 1994 season where he got his world championship. Then from 1996-2006 Michael moved and stayed at Ferrari. In 2007-2009 Michael had his first retirement where he basically took a break from racing. In 2010 he came back and raced for Mercedes and by 2012 Michael retired again.

11 For a man who had won several world championships and was announced Laureus World Sportsman of the Year twice. He is known to be the world’s greatest racing driver that the world had seen statistically. I think that’s his greatest achievement. What impressed me the most is when he won his first world championship, the season where Senna died and he knew that it was never going to be him to win the title it was supposed to be Ayrton who should have earned it because he had the best car, he was the best driver and I would like to take this championship and give it to him.

58 In the future where Martin Brundle a former F1 driver that competed with Senna in his early career, teammates with Schumacher in the 90’s and a F1 analysis said that “Max will be in a Championship Winning Team before he is 20. He is showing all the hallmarks of a Senna, of a Schumacher, in my view.” On Sepetmber 30, of 2015 Max finally turned 18 years old, to mark his occasion he passed his driving test where he is allowed to drive in Belgian roads. In the clip that I found with Lee McKenzie asked Max “Did you have a racing hero?” And Max replied right away “I think that’s my dad, especially we did so many things together its quite obvious for me that he’s my hero.”

I know the meaning of pretty. I know the meaning of sparkling. I know the meaning of Calming. I know the meaning of Ripe and I know the meaning of Relaxing, but I don’t know the meaning of Friendship.

How do you know that spider?

Is that So ?

Who’s there?

Why are you doubting yourself Wolf ?

Hello, I am spider.

Ever ytime I tr y to make friends, it always reminds me why I have no friends, I am a wolf, Nobody wants somebody like me.

Spider! What happened to your body? Are you okay? Two days ago a very strong wind knocked my tree down and I was crushed. I’m okay for now Wolf, but I don’t think I can live much longer.

Listen Wolf, you and I are not so different. Everybody else also thought I was scary. but that didn’t stop me from making friends.

Is there anything I can do to help you Spider?

Really spider? What was your secret.

You can’t help me wolf. I am beyond anybody’s help but thanks for offering.

There is no secret wolf, the important thing to remember is to always keep on trying.

I’m sorr y Spider. If only I coud do something, then maybe we could be friends.

A friend, what is a friend? A friend is somebody you could always talk to no matter how many times and they still keep on listening. A friend is somebody you can trust your deepest secrets with and they can trust you with theirs. A friend is somebody you’re never ashamed to walk around with. A friend is somebody who’ll be friends with you for who you really are no matter what. A friend is an important lifetime treasure you could never throw away. If a friend is really this important, then ever ybody should have a friend right ?

It’s So Hard Being a Wolf. none of the animals seem to look at you and I never seem to get along with anybody. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but maybe it’s because I am a wolf. Maybe it’s because they think I’m scar y. Maybe it’s because they think I’m wild or maybe it’s because they think I might eat them. But I am not like that. No, I am never like that. Maybe they just have to know me better . If they do know me better than I’m sure we could become friends. But then again I am a wolf. If nobody wanted to be friends with me before why would they be friends with me now. Maybe I am not meant to have friends. Maybe not with that attitude. Maybe I can make friends and maybe they are waiting for me right now! Or maybe I’m wrong. Maybe, I will hurt myself tr ying to make friends again. Maybe I am really not meant to have friends. maybe I am meant to be alone. Go to the Next Page.

6

7

This hill is very windy! Wolf??? What are you looking at?

I am a wolf , I have been hurt too many times and I definitely don’t want to be hurt again. Maybe there are really things I can’t do. Maybe having no friends is normal for a scar y wolf like me. Maybe I should just accept it. Yes that’s right, I’ll accept it, I am Wolf, and I have no friends. I should close my eyes and go

We’re almost there at the old mill. You’re right I can see grandma’s house from here.

Oh, sorr y it’s just over there are the trees with ripe fruits.

Are you hungry Wolf? Just a little bit, I didn’t have anything to eat all day.

back to sleep

Oh, then here you go.

Hello...

Well. Well What?

I guess this is where We’ll be saying our goodbyes? Well if you’re tired wolf, then it’s okay to say goodbye, but I was hoping that you would meet grandma, I want to show her my new friend.

A little piece of bread and a little piece of cake? Aren’t these for your grandma?

A hello? Is it meant for me? Maybe I should open my eyes and check Go to Page 6.

Grandma doesn’t eat a lot when she doesn’t feel well and also, she wouldn’t mind if I told her it was for a friend.

Or Maybe A hello? was the hello meant for me? It doesn’t matter, I just want to be alone Go to Page 88.

A friend? Hmmmmmmmmm??

Nothing... thanks for the bread and cake Little Red.

Or Maybe

40

Or Maybe Have I forgotten how many times I tried and failed ? even Spider, didn’t want to be my friend. Maybe I should just quit. Go Page 88.

I don’t think Wolf, I know you can.

What am I thinking? Of course I can make friends! I just have to keep tr ying! Go to Page 8. 4

Maybe I was wrong, Maybe I really can make friends and maybe they are waiting for me right now! Go to Page 8.

Wolf: What do you mean spider ?

You really think so spider? 3

2

You’re welcome Wolf.

But I still don’t know.

Sometimes things could get hard, and when it gets hard Wolf, remember that you won’t know who could be your friend until you tried.

It’s okay Wolf, don’t worry about me I have lived a long life. Also, don’t worry about yourself I’m sure you can make friends!

Once upon a time in a quiest forest, all the forest creatures lived together happily. Well maybe all except a ver y lonely Wolf. One day Wolf is thinking, that maybe, today is the day Wolf could make friends . Maybe today is the day Wolf will meet somebody Wolf can call friend. Maybe today is the day where anything is possible for friendship.or maybe not. Maybe today isn’t the day. Maybe today isn’t a special day. Maybe today will just be another day, another quiet day for Wolf.

Wolf: Wow, thanks for the adivce spider!

You’re very welcome Wolf.

5

16

Oh. But if you really are tired Wolf, then it’s also okay.

Whether I choose to meet your Grandma or not, we would still meet again right?

I have to admit, it has been a long day and I am a bit tired. Go to the Next Page.

Of course Wolf! We could always meet at the flower fields or somewhere in the forest. I promise.

I’m not tired. Of course I would love to go with you Little Red Go to Page 20.

How To Survive Freshman Year In College

College can be overwhelming. If you are an incoming or currently a freshman student who is pretty clueless about college like the author used to be, then this book is perfect for you. This book aims to help and guide students by giving personal experience in college from the author and her friends on how to deal with the things that might happen during college.

I know how you feel. I bet just a single thought of you going to college makes your heart pound and palms sweat. Well, let me tell you something. I’ve been there! You are not alone and we’re all in this together!

HOW TO SURVIVE FRESHMAN YEAR IN COLLEGE

Can I just say that even though you feel all those kinds of emotion, college is one of the most exciting things that you can experience in your life. It is where you’re going to learn a lot of things about life and (yourself/your passion/your strengths.) Most people’s idea of college where everyone just party day and night like it’s the end of the world are not accurate. Well you can still have fun, but I was shocked to find out that lot of people go to college to actually study and reach their dreams. Big decisions happen during your college years. It is like the “make or break” stage before getting out to what they call, “the real world”. It is challenging and satisfying at the same time.

Regine Padilla

Right now, I know there are so many things playing in your head, like how your first year in college is going to be, what is the proper outfit to wear for your first day, how do you manage your time, etcetera.

by Regine Padilla

“ FRESHMAN ” A beginner. A novice.

I hope that through my experiences and those of others who contributed their ideas in the making of this book, you would be inspired and motivated to persevere and enjoy college life all at the same time.

I do not have all the answers to the questions in your head, of course, but I have learned and benefited from the wise advice of some of my friends who went through the same path you are about to take. As you read, keep in mind that this is not a to-do list that you need toaccomplish in chronological order. This book aims to give you ideas of what might happen and guide you during your freshman year.

11

Officially register as a member of an institution or a student on a course.

In order for you to keep and hopefully reach that goal, you have to set your priorities. Have you ever heard of the phrase, “one thing leads to another”? I think that is very true. Our actions have consequences, may it be good or bad, that’s why we have to think about everything before making a decision. For example: Steve Job and his colleagues’ inventions wouldn’t be very famous right now if they did not spend countless, sleepless nights trying to come up with something that the world would recognize. They set their priorities to the point that they would no longer sleep so they could finally achieve what they envisioned.

Enrolling can be a hassle, but it’s part of college and you’ll get used to it. Hassle can be a good thing though. You’ll learn to be more patient. *LOL* Anyway, during enrollment, you’ll be asked to pick the subjects you want to take. Picking classes in college is very different when you were in high school. There are a lot of subjects to choose from. So I wrote down some tips that you can take note of when you are going to enroll.

When I was in my freshman year, I felt it was “kill joy” because I wanted to have fun. It’s “college”, I got to have the best time of my life. I always roll my eyes on the “oldies” who are always telling me to study hard. Until one day, a thought came to me - what will my future look like if I continue to live my life not caring about anything at all.

Check Your Course’s Curriculum I suggest you ask for your course curriculum so you’ll know which subjects you need to take first. Check out your options and get the subjects that are requisite to your major, and subjects that you find interesting. If you’re confused, ask someone from the school staff. I’m sure they would be willing to help you out.

I realized that I don’t want just to enjoy, I want to live a meaningful life and in order for me to have a meaningful life, I need to really discipline myself and f ocus on the things that I should prioritize as a student and child to your parents too.

You’ll be really excited to see the subjects being offered in your course, but don’t let your excitement deceive you. Start from the easy ones and slowly work your way up to the harder classes. You’ll be needing more time and effort on your classes in college.

You’ll be asked to plan out your own class schedule too. So pick the schedule that works best for you and always double check for overlapping subjects. Once classes start and you find your schedule doesn’t fit, ask someone from the school staff to assist you and have it changed right away.

ENROLL Start From Level 1

A thing that is regarded as more important than another.

all in a days work

thank you for reading i hope this guides you to your anitoon guide!

TEXTURE

Texture is the surface quality of a shape. Texture qualities can be rough or smooth, soft or hard, matte or glossy, evenly patterned or chaotic.

SI Z

did you know that every scene has its own space? before anything else appears it always starts of as an empty space, wow i feel like im lost.

when it comes to graphics like AAA cgi movies, each thing has its own teture, the more detailed the texture the more appealing the graphics look.

E

like all things comes with different sizes, any building object furniture or any other creature have different sizes, sometimes epicness of scenes can come from sizes.

SPACE

Space is where the design exists or is placed. in every scene it always starts of as a space, sometimes spaces can differ in many sizes, either big or small areas, space is where we place other things in different layers.

solid, scaly, tough, or fluffy each being has its own textures, commonly used on different kinds of animals, creatures or objects.. this is why i love animals!

ANITOON ELEMENTS

colors make everything like magic. special mention SFX in other tv shows

salutations! welcome to the explanation of design elements used in cartoons and anime productions. i hope this fold guides you.

COLOR Color can be divided into three aspects: hue, saturation and tone. Hue is the pure color without any tint or shade. Saturation is the intensity of the color — it defines if a color is dull or vibrant.

FORM

LINE

Form is shape in 3D. It is an object in three-dimensional form. As with other elements of design, a form can have qualities that create associations with other ideas, emotions and objects.

Line can be considered in two ways. The linear marks made with a pen or brush or the edge or boundary created when two shapes meet. lines are commonly used for inking, either traditional or digital, before coloring or details everything starts as a line. hey sis! i just did all the lines of this brochure.. i dunno if there are missing parts that need to be done..

aw man.. you gotta be kidding me! ME FIGHT THAT THING ALONE?! sigh.. if only i had my megazord! oh well. EPIC FIGHTS ARE BIG right?

anything can be big or small! sizes are used for characters objectsand even worlds.

VALUE referred to as tone, is the relative lightness and darkness of an object. value is used for each tone or shade in every cartoon environment. a heavy example of the use of value is from the late 30‛s cartoon shows on TV.

with light and darkness, everythingis shown, not just cartoons but movies have values as well. even value counts as SFX

SHAPE A shape is a self contained defined area of geometric or organic form. A shape can represent ideas, objects and even emotions. shapes are used for anatomy, objects, animation bones, or seperate parts of a polygon.

when it comes to shapes, its either it can be anatomy of objects, wall abstracts, or a specific obstacle.

we all see lines, each artwork needs its good use of lines before coloring can be done and this process is called lineart. everything has its own form it can be a ball, a shelf, or some dirty poster which otakus usually decorate in their room.

i didnt know how fun shapeshifting gets, people say i can be anything right? ops.. my face is white.

Look at me with those eyes you’re insecure about As you hide them behind your shades of doubt You stare at me with that smile While your grip gets tighter; Each moment the day gets brighter But your heart beats even louder
