e l l o , ladies! I pray and trust in our holy Father t h a t y o u are well or at least doing better spiritually than you were last year. This will be true if you have been following my women’s ministry. Last month I wrapped up my four-week spiritual boot-camp and I have to say it was amazing. I want to encourage you to keep your faith and grow stronger in your walk with the Lord. God never intended for you or any of us to go it alone. Therefore, as a spiritual leader I want you to know that I am here for you. I have many free services available. One of my favorites is being able to provide Biblebased counseling to women in need. I really enjoy hearing from you all and reading your emails and Facebook messages. Please stay in touch and keep my ministry in your prayers for I will surely keep you all in mine. Love you! INSPIRING PROVERBS AND QUOTES All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the [wo]man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. ~2 Tim. 3:16-17 NKJV

We wait and hope for the Lord; for

he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you. (Psalm 33:20-22) Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 97:10) No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand so those who come in may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not

darkness.

Therefore,

if

your

whole body is full of light, and no part

of

it

in

dark,

it

will

be

completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you. (Luke 11:3336) 10

A LOVELY SPIRIT/INNER BEAUTY

LEARNING TO FORGIVE “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”. (Eph. 4:32)

O

ne of the most loving and important traits of a Christian is the abiltiy to forgive. Yet, doing so may be easier said than done depending upon the circumstances. However, as godly women we want to have a forgiving spirit because we love our holy Father in heaven and seek to please him.

Yet, I have learned over the years that desiring to do something may not always be enough. Sometimes we want to do something yet do not know how. Therefore, it is good when we have leaders who tell us how to actualize our goals. Therefore, I will share with you a few tips that should help you to be able to put away the hatchet and to be more forgiving, if you struggle in this area.

• Seek understanding: Put yourself in the other persons shoes and remember “people in pain cause pain”. • Be humble: Realize we all have sinned and have shortcomings. • Acknowledge who’s really against you: According to Eph. 6:1018 evil and supernatural forces are at war against us yet are manifesting themselves through other people. • Desire to be set free: When we forgive others it is we who are ultimately being set free from the heavy burden of not forgiving. Although it may make the other person feel better as well. • Refuse to lose your reward: According to Jesus, God will not forgive us if we do not forgive those who have offended us especially if they have repented. (Matt. 6:14-15)

12

• Be the bigger person: Forgiving people are great people. Those who forgive even the biggest wrongs are seen as heroes and rightly so. Jesus is our hero for going to the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. TGWG

A RADIANT VESSEL/OUTER BEAUTY

ARE YOU TAKING THE PLUNGE?

N

owadays, taking a bath is not the luxury it once was. Per haps due to time constaints or other reasons. However, soaking in the tub is not only excellent for the skin, it is good for the soul. It allows free time to take a spiritual inventory and it’s also a great opportunity to meditate upon the Word of God. Besides using this time to pray and to count your blessings, you may want to keep a few spiritual books handy to make your bathing experience more relaxing. In addition, a shower, though quick, cannot deep cleanse and moisturize the skin as a bath does. (This may be one reason some have dry cracked skin especially on the soles of their feet as a shower cannot penetrate the skin as much as bathing. Now that spring is approaching, and many will be donning sandals, this is something we may want to correct and prevent). To make the most of it, try adding a small amount of oil to your water for extra softness to your skin. Be careful when you step out of the tub because it may be slippery. 14

Lastly, if you are celebrating a special occasion, use a good sugar or salt scrub. They are excellent for detoxification and to exfoliate your skin for unbelievable softness. Afterward, rub on a good body or butter cream. Shea butter works well. If you use bath salts or oils, etc., be sure they are organic so as to not cause vaginal infections. For this reason, I recommend Abra products. Although I take showers, I also indulge at least two plunges a week for it is good for reviving the skin and the soul. TGWG

BECOMING “FIT FOR THE MASTER’S USE” By Alwanda Carothers

D

o you ever wonder why the family of God is failing physi cally? Every Lord’s Day someone requests prayer for physical health for themselves, family members, and friends. We are suffering with ailments such as: Alzheimer’s, allergies, anxiety, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, constipation, depression, diabetes, fatigue, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, kidney dysfunction, MS, neuropathy, PMS, etc. This is a problem, because the Body of Christ should be the healthiest people walking this planet, but we’re not. Poor health is hindering the Body to be “ Fit For The Master’s Use”, so why are we not healthier? There are a couple of reasons: 1) eating bad foods - margarine, fried foods, processed sugar, pollution/pesticides, carbonated drinks, caffeine, gluten increasing sensitivity to wheat, barley, rye and oats; 2) being nutritionally deficient. Several years back, I was asking for prayer because I was suffering from arthritis and hypertension. My husband and I are missionaries and the worse thing that could happen is to be physically and mentally impaired. Well, my physical health was becoming a hindrance to my being able to do what was expected for this type of work. 16

I knew that we were going to have to walk miles and miles everyday for 2 1/2 weeks in the scorching heat going from house to house teaching and encouraging. I realized that I would not be fit for this work if I was hurting and not feeling well. (When you are sick, the mental is also effected. So, I prayed and asked other soldiers to pray for me). Praise be to the Father, He answered my prayers and opened the door for me by which to obtain an understanding why the body become weak and accessible to all sorts of ailments and diseases. I was introduced to Dr. Joel Wallach, author of Dead Doctors Don’t Lie and his

90 For Life Message. I listened to his CDs and gained an understanding that it is not what we eat that keeps us unhealthy, but it’s what we don’t eat. Our bodies are miraculous machines and when given the proper nutrients (raw materials) it will maintain and rebuild itself. I decided to give my body what Dr. Wallach suggested and after several months of the 90 essentials, my body actually began to heal itself. No more arthritic pain and I was able to do what was expected during the mission without pain or health concerns! Praise God!! To find out your mineral deficiencies, go to this f r e e w e b s i t e : www.findmymineral.com/90/alwandac or call me at 615-944-5086 for more information. We have been told all of our lives that we get all the nutrients we need from the four food groups. However, because of centuries of mining, farming, irrigation, and acid rain, the soil has been depleted of its life-giving minerals. These mineral deficient soils are then used to grow and cultivate our food. So, why is good health important? It’s because we have been commissioned to go teach and serve (Matt. 28:18-20); therefore, we must be “Fit for The Master’s Use”. If we are in poor health, we suffer physically, spiritually and mentally as well. If we don’t pay attention to our health now we will be forced to pay attention to it later. So, let’s be proactive and not reactive - give the body the 90 essential nutrients it needs to maintain and rebuild itself, so we can truly become fit for the masters use.

WOMEN OF THE BIBLE Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. ~Prov. 31:10; 29-30

THE TRULY GOOD LIFE 5 WAYS TO HAVE MORE LOVE IN YOUR LIFE “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand it’s own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, its always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance”. (1 Cor. 13:4-8 NLT)

MAKING A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE

STANDING OUT IN THE CROWD “Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Col. 3:12)

I

t is not hard to make a posi tive difference in our world to day. The hard part is simply deciding to. Over a decade ago, I decided I did not want to be an average church member but a person who would make a positive difference in the world and in the church. One day while sitting in worship service I, being a very observant person, began to scan the room when I realized (not being critical just observant) that most people there were not truly letting their lights shine. Well, not only did I want to let my light shine I wanted to be a beacon all around the world! However, I personally cannot take credit for coming to that conclusion. God is the one who put it on my heart. I say this because I almost forgot my new vow to myself yet God reminded me a couple of years later in a not so pleasant way. (You are invited to learn more about my story on my web site). The reason I said that was to say this, whatever you do in your life choose to make a difference. Do not follow the crowd even in the congregation where you worship. Unfortunately many members, even there, have decided though perhaps not intentionally, to settle for a life of mediocrity. Yet as godly women

26

and Christians we should not allow that to happen to us. Therefore, I encourage you to stand up and stand out! Shake your congregation up a bit! Shake your community up! Decide you no longer want to be average but above average, chosen and favored by God. The church and the world has too many average people who simply want to fitin. Yet refuse to follow them and instead follow Jesus and other great Bible heroes such as Daniel and the apostle Paul. One thing I do to make sure I let my light shine is to visit the sick and the shut-in. They truly are the most overlooked in the church. The photo above is of me and my sister in Christ Adele, who is 107 years old and in an assisted living home. I make sure her and others like her who are shut-in are on on my list to visit or call on a regular basis. We all should. By doing so we will stand up and stand out. TGWG
