Like me, I wish to be a writer, publish my son's book and it did come true. I’m the Author of Chasing Horizons, a book that is two years in the making and a collection of 100 poems that describes our lives during the pandemic, most of all I want to be a Dj or radio presenter as it's one of my passion, although I didn't finish mass communication and I was not given the chance to take mass communication, instead I finished Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management.

But I never forgot my wish to be a Dj or radio presenter, so I took many workshops on podcasting activities and online courses in public speaking like Pinoy Impact Toastmasters International which help me gain the self-confidence to be the voice of those who were shy to speak. The universe was so good in giving me a lucky life as a migrant worker because I got good employers and had the chance to study every Sunday.

And while I’m asking for my dreams to come true, aside from taking action and working on them to come true, I’m also trying to be the person worthy to be granted of my dreams by having good intentions, love, and care for humanity in thoughts, actions, and words.

So in return, I gave back to society what was given to me by supporting Filipino communities and NGOs, 'till one day when I'm doing my community service, a new opportunity knocked on me. While serving the community I met good channels and amazing opportunities that came along, of course, I’m always sharing the blessings with those who need them as long as my hand could reach.

"Ms. Ody, do you want to be a DJ and have your radio show so your advocacy in helping people can reach more?"

I was speechless, I can't believe what the owner of the radio station was telling me. I said to give me one week to absorb the offer. I didn't do this alone, I took it with me as a DJ, the rest was of my Talent house Horizons members, to be a DJ, and become my field reporters.. This is a living legacy that I will leave for them. One happy experience in their lives and an opportunity as Horizons members.

DJ Devin Munson (DJ Ody's Husband

Teaching Slang American words on CLO)

DJ DJ Devin Devin Munson Munson

I am not a woman. I am a man. I can't say what international women's day means to me. However, I do know what it means to women

I have a wife and a daughter I love and support them both to the best ability When it comes to women I'm not very smart. One example is, I don't even know when a woman liked me. People have told me they were and I've gone back to the woman and asked and only because she told me yes she was, did I know

The only way I knew Melody (DJ Ody my wife) was interested in me is because she told me straight out I do love my wife's very upfront and straightforward character, I ding need to guess things

That being said, I'm also not a writer, so this isn't going to be a good conveyance of my thoughts on women, my wife made me a writer I like women I respect women I find women fascinating But I cannot speak on what this day means really.

Melody asked me to write this to show how I support her It's said behind every great man, there is a great woman But the reverse is also true. Usually. To quote William Riker from Star Trek First Contact, quoting Zefram Cochrane, "don't try to be a great man, just be a man. Let history make its own decision " In this regard, I, as a man, try to support Melody and El as best I can to be great at it but I do what I can.

. We’re in different cultures, as a Filipina she wants to do all the household chores if we’re together physically in the Philippines or in the United States of America. I’m helping her do the household chores as do believe that she’s not my slave relationship is 50/50 we shared chores happiness, and burdens were equal

I designed her diamond ring crafted by my uncle who is a jeweler I proposed to her 3 times, first in the Philippines in front of her family second in the US in front of my family, and third in Hong Kong in front of Ela and her friends I know her dream wedding so I gave it to her after 11 long years of waiting I let her heal from her wounds from her past relationship. I’m very patient with her. We’re growing old together While waiting for her I’m preparing her car and house My wife may be successful in her own way but I know that he really wants to be a plain housewife

When Melody said she wanted to go to college, I supported her emotionally and financially I try to do the same for Ela I do believe if you love your children, love and do your best to keep their mother, whose one foot is six feet below the ground while giving birth, you and imagine the hardship of carrying a baby for nine months inside her womb Raising a kid is not easy as a man I’m trying to show and do my part as a loving father and husband even the slightest and small things means a lot to them.

6

Like a flower, they needed to be nurtured and nourished emotionally and physically

When Melody said she wanted to create Horizons, (An online talent house and poetry group founded on April 18, 2020 so people can show their talents that serve as an outlet for emotions during the pandemic, and community service) I did everything I could to help.

When Melody said she wanted to write a book of poetry, I told her the same thing I told her about everything else I just listed: go for it. I supported the group fully on the book anthology I also became one of the authors of the book anthology of Horizons

When she said she wanted to do a radio show, even though I’m not fond of having a camera in my face, yes internet radio can also have cameras now, I put a camera on my face.

Why? Because it's a dream she has. I'll do what I can to support her So she became DJ Ody Munson of CLO Community Lifestyle with DJ Ody Munson and Horizons. To add a little bit about my participation as her Co Dj as a native English speaker because I’m an American I’m teaching English words that are in slang form so audience listeners can learn 4 slang words every Thursday and Sunday night, 10-12 midnight-Philippines and Hong Kong time on her radio show. It’s my price seeing how her radio show was giving a higher platform to many people to serve as an inspiration and motivation resulting in the empowerment of the community that she loves.

When she or Ela needs a shoulder to cry on, I’m there When they need emotional support, I’m there When they need someone to bounce ideas off of, I’m there. Whatever is needed by them, I do what I can to help I am proud of its accomplishments I’m not sure if the little I can do as much as they need, but I will try my best every time.

Women are fascinating

Women are a part of our lives. They are our mothers, sisters, wives, daughters. We are stronger with them. We cannot exist without them I’m the proud husband of my wife DJ Land by Munson. Hope all husbands will support their wives too which will make a big impact on a stronger happier relationship

Happy wife happy life, happy household vibrating love for humanity. On finding contentment in life seeing my wife and daughter happy making our lives full of love though we’re in different parts of the world, Technology binds us together just use it wisely and properly to show our love and support

Happy International Women's Day

I’m sending my respect and gratitude to all women for all of your sacrifices not just for your family DJ Devin signing off.

"So many people walk around with a meaningless life They seem half asleep, even when they're busy doing things, that they think are important. Because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning to your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to the community around you and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."

My gratitude to my dear mother Ody Munson, my mentor for believing in my talent and for endearing support With a big heart and serve as an inspiration to me from day one, I saw her post reciting her poem "Dear Self" from then on I become one of her enthusiastic followers on Facebook and become one of the pioneer members of Horizons It was last year that I become more active to share what I have as a Horizoners with push and encouragement. Her purpose and advocacies are from her heart which I really adore She helps me open new opportunities from being a co-author to CLO -DJ A woman with vision and confident who never left everyone left behind that our dear mommy Ody

When pandemic strikes many women have been frustrated and feel hopeless as many companies closed and lay out a lot of workers. Many women were affected But the technological world evolves faster than we expect and everyone was enjoying it now Different opportunities popping up in the Internet world where you can choose a career to start all over. And we Woman hugs big opportunities, with the different flat forms of social media to showcase our talent, skills, and vision with our purpose in life

Social Media has become one of the top sources of revenue for everyone, where women enjoy most while earning. That’s the real fact everyone should agree right?

As social media continues to be a prevalent part of daily life, more companies incorporate these platforms into marketing and business effort. Women in the community with innovative minds, perception creativity, and strategic minds excel in this social network There are many career opportunities to choose from being a social media Intern, blogger, content curator, marketing associate, etc. and we women stand out in it. And if you are not that much of tech things, you can just choose to be an influencer (blogger/ Live broadcaster).

Among those of being simple women, there are many who stand out as content creators and live streamers in different apps that really inspire others. I myself have witnessed how someone becomes a real celebrity in the world of streaming

I’m giving back gratitude to my dear friend Jen Abaya a.k.a Heart for sharing her experience being one of those famous artists of Star Maker. Her first main goal is just to give entertainment to everyone and share her talent as a singer, because of her dedication, handwork, and enjoyment its a self fulfilling for her that she achieves her goals on that apps, step by step from purple V-tag she becomes the most influencer of the month last February 2022 and gained her Orange V- at the same year which everyone desires as it means you in are categorized as a professional singer. she was loved and adored by everyone for her charming beauty, sweet voice and for being a very humble performer

Being an explorer not just through hiking but on the internet world. I being a woman who desires to reach out and inspires other was very thankful for technology because it's easier and more convenient for us to express and show to the world our purpose in being who we are. Labels aside, we are all unique, we are valid.

On this 8th of March,2023 as we celebrate Women’s Month with a theme: DIgitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality

I salute all women for being extraordinary, and independent and for being more competitive and equipped with knowledge and skills to show the world that we have equal value with men

I believe we can be whatever we want to be because each of us has unlimited potential and talent to share and inspires the community. live, love, laugh, and have a positive life.

Your WORTH is how you CREATE yourself.

Basically, or I may say biblically, woman is created by God as the "ēzer (subordinate to man) kĕnegĕdô (in front of him)". A woman is the helper, subordinate, and strength of a man. Physically, we know that a man's strength exceeds more than a woman's. Would any woman agree and settle on that?

-DJ Carole Adawag

DJ Carole Adawag

International Women's Day this March 08, holds the theme : “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality” luckily, as a CLO and Horizons DJ, I, Carole Adawag, a Filipina, 50 years old career woman, a poet known as Inner Whispers, also a professional photographer, an artist, a computer savvy and a sports enthusiast, would like to impart my thoughts on this.

We must not settle on a single thought when it comes to superiority and equality between genders. One would claim he/she is superior because he/she owns a corporate; the boss who provides jobs and paychecks Ca considered superior without his/h

We are all Facebook, Instagram, et al platform users; one among around the globe who are intelligence inside the worldwi completely and equally given th it. Yet depends on one's wit on create a better self

Alexa, known as an AI is a woman AI man? Who is the creator of Ale woman, or a transgender system

Does it connote that Alexa intelligence that is programmed a to assist, to help, a subordinate to a man (pertaining to any gender)?

This creator sees a woman's intelligence as exceptional, superior in provisioning wit, and innovating technology to mankind. A woman who can man a man I may say

Remember that we are all the same --WORKERS of our lives, our future, and our own achievements. We are all CONTRIBUTORS to the world's innovative technology

11
A woman's worth is how she creates herself. Of what she believes she can. She believes in equality - with regard to honor and intelligence. The love and care she has for her family is outstanding! Hats off, women of today!

Women of today are seen as competitors.

Technologically and digitally, they are skilled and capacitated.

DJ BELENPALADIN GLENN

Although men has numbered as IT's (Information Technologist) and CE's (Computer Engineer), women is growing vast in these field. They also are the most hired welders all over the world because of their meticulous way of doing the job.

Gender equality in technology innovation is not a descriminative evolution. Although men are believed to have superior mind in creating technology and computer systems, women surpasses that discrimination. Not to mention those six remarkable women inventors, Dr. Shirley Jackson (1946-), Nancy Johnson (17941890),Grace Hopper (1906-1992), Patricia Era Bath (1942-2019), Ruth Handler (1916-2002), Esther Takeuchi (1942-). Innovations and inventions you may not know are by women.

Gradually, women can be truck drivers, machinists, food deliverers, gym trainers, they can grow muscles as men, and not to mention those women I see as construction workers. I mentioned a few that men do whereas women can do as well.

I have high respect on single women moms who are capable of getting any job just to provide for their kids. They have wide range of getting jobs in any way they can which men cannot do.

A woman is the mother of every man.

That, I believe.

Simply, I, Glenn Belen Paladin, a business entrepreneur, a singer by heart and a lover who is faithfully in love to an amazing woman I have known (CA), believes in gender equality.

DJ Jovelyn Castor

Hi, I'm a Photographer by heart. Known by many as a Len Shoot Collection In my FB handle An event host and a 9 years Filipino overseas worker As we celebrate International Women's Month, let us support our CLO head DJ Ody Munson in her campaign, which is empowering another woman

The woman who allowed me to make my dream come true as a DJ as it's my passion Here in Hongkong, she serves as my mentor and my mother to Horizons International community, especially if I'm down, empowering me and lifting me up

Grateful beyond measure for another International Women's Month

Through this, I would like to impart the woman who is my spine and my strength back home A 68-year-old woman is still in her right mind Who takes care of her family A loyal and faithful, loving wife to her husband She raised her nine children through hard work Who made my Pandan Dry leaf Bag during my first day of school, who combs my long and curly hair back then Thank you for being the first woman I've known that showed me how to navigate life, love, and circumstances with dignity and strength You always open your mouth with skillful and Godly wisdom Always giving counsel and instructions Always implementing rules, standards, and boundaries

So this is my unique initiative to bring your worth by writing a few of your details into the limelight

To highlight your success and struggles As a symbol of inspiration for other women who have the utmost potential to achieve big in their lives as a woman Like any other woman You are multitasking You fulfill your duties as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and as a grandmother You always end up with your plate empty because you're opposing your arms with us So you can take care of us in the family But still, you manage all of this and end up with an energetic and happy face. Balancing your time can be tough, however, the most important thing today is your HAPPINESS.

The obvious pressure of age is hard to avoid but you're always calm and confident about yourself. Still, continue doing good things for the people that matter to you. Ultimately, that is all that matters.

I love you nanay...

MyLife MyLife Throughthe Throughthe Lens Lens

I’ve been working abroad for 9 years. I’ve worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 5 years and in Hong Kong for almost 4 years now

Like a colorful picture, my life is just as vivid I was born and raised in a place 2 hours away from town by a motorbike. Can you imagine that?

My parents raised me in a secluded way of life. Well, not totally secluded of course It’s just that as the eldest daughter, I was not allowed to go out and play like other kids. I grew up with strict parents. My father was in politics and my siblings are in the military. But I was not raised to prepared for an arranged marriage with a native guy in exchange of a dowry Ha! Ha! Ha! Don’t get me wrong, my childhood is not that bad. It taught me the value of integrity.

Like a picture that brings back our most memorable moments in life, I can’t forget the time when I received a message from my family in the Philippines. It was in June 2019. As I read the message, it seems like a bomb exploded and hit me in the eye and in my heart. My youngest son is in critical condition at Saint Paul’s Hospital in Iloilo City

Yes! I have two Kungfu warrior sons in the Philippines. They are energetic like a Kungfu Master!!! That’s why I felt lost and heartbroken when I heard the bad news, “Ate Len, Jelo is unconscious What should we do? We were informed that the hospital charges 20,000 Pesos a day.”

My monthly wage then was only 29 to 31 thousand pesos And without hesitation, I bravely replied, “TAKE IT ALL PLEASE TELL THE DOCTOR TO TAKE CARE OF MY SON PLEASE DON’T LEAVE MY SON AND ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON HIM,”

I felt like dying. I was confused. I didn’t know where to get that big amount of money My monthly salary is not enough for a day of treatment in the hospital As expected, my money ran out after a few days My family contributed a lot but it is still not enough. My son remained unconscious. I don’t even dare to see his photos I can’t bear to see my baby, my Jelo with two big hoses in his mouth and an air pump

I have no one else to turn to in Hong Kong

Every news from my family felt like thunder in my heart It made me feel crazy that I cried out loud at work

Like a big flash of light whenever I take pictures, I remembered God and I prayed I gave everything to Him I did my best, now the rest was up to Him I completely surrendered my son to God and trust in His miraculous and healing hands

After a several days, my son woke up Jelo’s recovery is still not complete He survived death but I am emotionally and financially broken Although I suffered anxiety and depression, I have no choice I need to work but I continue to fight and pray harder than before Then came self-healing I started attending a workshop that kept my mind away from negative thoughts I enrolled myself in Jalastig Academy to study photography I tried voice overs for SFAC project of Jalastig Academy I met different people who taught me both positive and negative lessons in life I learned to “Trust myself kasi at the end of the day, buhay ko ito eh” I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul

(SMILING POSE) CLICK Now, that is one happy pose Ladies and gentlemen, call me Ms Len A professional photographer A mother A woman. A master of my fate.

Hope you guys learned something from my written speech a woman as a mother is always strong for her children.

DJ JUANA ZAMORA

Being grateful and sending gratitude to fellow women brings inspiration, motivation, and empowerment to all

As a woman, I am being empowered by CLO Community Lifestyle with Dj Ody Munson and Horizons, and as a weather girl of this show, I have shown to everyone, or specifically to the people in public what my capabilities are

Because of CLO, I learned to believe in myself to be worthy as a woman.

To my fellow women who empowered me, especially Mommy Ody Munson, she's a mother not only to me but to everyone whom we call the community people here in Hong Kong, and her own family too She's the one who motivate us to show our inner selves and be who we are today. I could say if it's not because of her, I can't be me as JUANA the poet/poetess, writer, DJ, and public speaker mentee Thanks to our mother in the Horizons International community, Mommy Ody Munson.

DJ Ody Munson didn't just make me DJ to grow, but she also took me in seminars to prepare me to be a public servant to the community and be a public speaker in Pinoy Impact She mentored me on how to write too. I would like to dedicate this written speech which she also helped in putting a good title This is dedicated also to all of you in Women's day celebration

Can you blame Juana?

CAN YOU BLAME JUANA?

Have you experienced someone asking you, why are you still single at the age of 40? Good day mga kababayan, it's nice to see your happy expressions in this cozy room

Maybe everyone here knows my name already but again I would still like to introduce myself Especially to our visitors and guests, my name is JOAN ZAMORA PADOHINOG, eldest daughter of Enrique Padojinog and Emilie Zamora, 40 yrs old

Can you blame JUANA?

Way back when I was still bearing my eldest in my womb I'm in a relationship and we were living in one house at that time All I know is we are okay because every day of our life is full of respect, We're always happy and contented But that happiness was cut and it made my life so miserable

I discovered one night that he was cheating

So after that day I confronted and told him that I want to go back home to our province in Davao City and cut my relationship with him So that I can pursue and continue my life without him I faced my parents with all my might that I will continue my pregnancy even without the help of my EX YES! it's not easy to be alone while my tummy is growing bigger every day, and raising my child without the help of their father That was the time I learned how to use an electric sewing machine I asked my mother to teach me how to sew And help her to sew a bed sheet to survive my daily needs Every piece of bedsheet, I made I also have my share I tried all means to augment my income including being a nanny to a toddler and I'm pregnant Yeah! it made me cry at night secretly but because I chose this decision, I need to face it

Can you blame JUANA?

I am only human, a soft-hearted lady Got hurt by a person I thought will be the one to put me on a pedestal, but I was mistaken

Can you blame JUANA?

Hey, Joan why you're still single? If after a long year, I didn't engage in a relationship because of having a phobia to get hurt again? Being a shy person is not a hindrance to fulfilling my plans and dreams in life I am fierce and strong, enough to face all trials in life and I know I'll overcome all of these, one day Because I believe that this experience though having a shy personality, deep inside, I am also fierce and strong. If before see me as the pregnant family burden, now they are relying on me.

If only my ex had been good to me, I'll never experience all these hardships. But what matters most, I became a good mother to my kids. Though it's like walking in lava and traveling on a bumpy road. Maybe someday the right man will come but not now. Still, I'm healing.

If I'm still single, can you blame ME?

Happy empowered International Women's day to all especially to single moms like me. There's nothing to be shy of, just continue to live our lives as if we're a NayTay(mom and dad) all in one. We're the hope, courage, and strength of our children. Sending gratitude to those who are empowering every one of us.

Dj Juana your weather girl signing off

The Woman of Silence

What's the epitome of being a woman? Is it when she expresses something or when her voice is being heard like my Mom the head DJ of CLO DJ Ody Munson?

My mom got a very loud and straightforward strong personality which is the reverse version of me. She's my migrant worker mom, always far away from me

But she's more than that, she showed me a good example of how to manage time, live life to the fullest, have a dream, work hard on your goal to reach it, and give back to society too.

To sum it all my mom is a philanthropist on her way, sometimes I'm the one doing the task for her to deliver donations to people, or even simple things like giving telephone loads. Isn't she disturbing me when im so busy studying online?

It's so boring to study online but she will call me 100 times till I answer just to make me laugh How does it feels or how does it go being my mom's daughter?

If she's on her Toastmasters mode 5-7 minutes of discussion or else a red card timer will pop up

If my mom was in her writing mode she will include me in her articles.

A moment of silence if she's writing and I will not hear her voice bugging me but as a writer and author, I will be the one to deliver her books and post them via air or online

I'm just a simple woman but I will never be under the shadow of my mom.

As her daughter I had my own way of showing my love for her and my daddy Devin in my silence if you can hear my heart beat my love echoes

Life during the pandemic is tough, especially for the children of migrant workers like me

Not seeing them on special occasions like my birthday, graduations, in every milestone they are absent. Still, I understand especially if I could buy my needs like a laptop, thanks to my mom and dad who could afford things for my needs although the price is not physically with them.

Maybe I didn't grow up to be raised by my mom but through her works, I learned a lot and treasure life though I'm not very vocal about it.

This year is my graduation day, and I know I made my grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, cousins, dad, and most of all, my mom proud.

To all of the daughters and sons of migrant workers let's not forget our parents are sacrificing, leaving us to earn money and help our economy

"Your Worth is how you Create yourself."

Thanks to my mom who made me a DJ every Sunday. I'm a part of a symbol of family day, though I'm very quiet

From our modern-day family to yours

Happy International Women’s day.

DJ Ela's Signing off, just hearing the Melody of my love in my silent mode. That's all for today and going back to my world of silence, going back to be in my victorious graduation march that is approaching.

The Writing Game

Liege Lord Lanre

ANARTWITHINANART

One morning, I was sitting in my studio listening to the music of Tupac Shakur bombasting heavily out of the speakers With me iñ the studio was a group of students from a writng school in the community where I reside Their teacher had brought then to me so as to learn a thing or two about what it takes become an accomplished writer

After playing the music for a while, I turned it down Then I spun round to face the dozen or so pairs of eyes focused on me The first probe concerned the connection between 2pac and my career as a writer This is because plastered all over the studio wall are 2pac's posters Even the dainty pendant dangling around my neck features the image of the rap icon

I don't care what you've read or heard about the late rapper 2pac was the most intellectual revolutionary where I'm concerned 2pac was instrumental in the evolution of my personal style as a writer His music has a formidable influence on my writing

The point I'm trying to make is that an aspiring writer should have a foundation on which to base their literary career. Not to come across as a 2pac- bandana-wearing intellectual militant. It's because in my study of 2pac's body of work, I learned that his cue was mostly taken from the poet and writer, William Shakespeare. In fact, the rapper said that Shakespeare was his biggest inspiration. It takes creative imagination to be able to draw themes from real life settings and turn these into curative metaphors that challenge the intellect. For this, 2pac, like Shakespeare, was a great teacher and a master of his art. And in helping the voiceless to find a voice, 2pac became the character on whose mouth the words are spoken. This ability to go deep into one's soul to become another person, while at the same time remaining true to oneself, is an art within an art. And the ability to distill themes from Shakespeare's works such as Macbeth or Hamlet made 2pac known for his poetic virtuoso. All this plus the fact that he was well read put him in the class of a scholar. The point is simply this: An aspiring writer must start out with a model to follow. You need someone whose work will not only guide you but also be your inspiration You know, you must have a giant on whose shoulder you stand so as to see farther. Even if you're not a writer, be you a painter, sculptor or whatever do, you need someone who has gone ahead of you in your chosen field

You have to learn from them and model your career upon their work. And then create your own unique style. Another vital topic that sprang up in course of our discussion was about service. I made it clear that as a writer, you have to surrender yourself in service to society. This means having a deep desire to use your talent to help others. This is the purpose for which the talent was given to you in the first place. To fulfill your role as a writer, therefore, you have to be selflessly serving humanity. Many people live an unfulfilling existence because they don't understand that they have a duty to fulfill.

The problem these days is that most people are not living with passion. As a writer, your work should be an expression of your passionate feelings about the subjects that touch your heart Your longing should be to be the rainbow in other people's darkness

There are so many people suffering in the world today People are in pain everywhere But people who live with unbridled passion override their own pains when they endeavor to ease the pains of others This is the best good you can do with the talent which the heavens have given to you And this is what determines whether you'll become a fulfilled and accomplished writer

When you have a passion in your heart, making money won't be your primary focus This is very important for would-be writers to learn For several years I've been writing without giving a thought to remuneration My joy comes from knowing that at least one life is touched by what I'm offering

23
My heart is filled with mirth knowing that my work is appreciated by someone somewhere in the world. And when this happens, I feel myself in tune with the immortal melody drifting freely through the ether. This rapturous melody can only be heard by a heart living with passion.

Step Into the light for teachers coping with stress

Stress is a word that we hear often, but what does it mean? Stress is defined as “a nonspecific feeling of tension and pressure” (Dictionary com) Teachers are always on the go, running from one class period to another trying to get everything done promptly. This can cause teachers to feel stressed because they are not able to accomplish all of their tasks in the amount of time allotted

The prevalence of stress among teachers is also high as they are expected to meet the demands of their students while still maintaining professional integrity and personal well-being. This creates a high level of stress for many teachers who often turn to alcohol or drugs to cope with this emotional state

There are many ways that teachers can cope with stress; some may choose to exercise while others may choose to spend time with friends or family There are also many different ways that teachers can take care of themselves mentally and physically such as eating healthy meals or getting enough sleep each night. However, there is one way that most people do not think about when it comes to coping with stress; taking care of your physical appearance by grooming yourself properly at all times

In this writing, I will be discussing how teachers can take better care of themselves by focusing on their appearance and how this will help them cope with stress more effectively

Everyone has a different way of coping with stress

Some people go to the gym, some people go for a walk, and some people just stay at home and watch TV. But what do you do when you are stressed? Well, there are many ways that we can cope with our stress but one of the best ways is to talk about it. Talking about your feelings helps you release endorphins which makes you feel better. There are many things that I do when I am stressed out such as going for a run or just hanging out with my friends or family

It is believed that talking to loved ones regularly prevents stress and anxiety. People who don't speak to their loved ones tend to become sad and lonely. They also tend to have issues with eating, sleeping, and socializing However, speaking to your loved ones regularly helps you with all these issues. Verbalizing your feelings to your co-teacher, family member and a friend will placate the tension and stress. The next thing that most people do when they feel stressed out is to eat When we are stressed,

our bodies release stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline into our bloodstream Cortisol is known as the ‘stress hormone’ and it causes us to feel tense, anxious, and even irritable (American Psychological Association). This can make it very difficult for teachers to concentrate on their work when they are feeling stressed because their bodies are not functioning properly. Therefore, the best way that teachers can help themselves cope with stress is by eating a healthy diet that consists of fruits and vegetables along with lean meats and whole-grain bread (Dictionary.com).

When a person is experiencing stress it can hurt their health and well-being Many people turn to food for comfort or to help them forget the worries or emotions they are feeling at the time. For some teachers, this could be an effective coping mechanism but for others, it may not be the best idea because it could lead to weight gain and other health problems down the road. However, teachers are expected to be role models for young students and should have good self-control over their eating habits to maintain a positive image as well as set an example for students who look up to them as leaders and examples of good behavior However, when teachers experience high levels of stress they may begin eating unhealthy foods such as candy bars or chips which could lead them towards gaining weight over time if they

19

continue this habit throughout their career as a teacher In addition, when teachers experience high levels of stress they tend to drink more often which has been shown in past research studies (“Stress”)

In addition to eating a healthy diet that will help teachers cope with stress, they should also make sure that they get enough sleep each night so that their bodies can recover from the stressful situation they were in before going to bed. Getting enough sleep each night will allow teachers’ brains to function at an optimal leve them to be more productiv stress effectively (Dictionary.c

Sleeping and rest help teach Sleep is an essential process f helps the brain to recover from fatigue, and it also plays maintaining a healthy mood. W deprived, they tend to feel mo deprivation can be caused by work pressure, school activit problems. Sleep deprivati individual’s stress levels to ri are sleep deprived your body time to recover from stress

The second thing that most feel stressed out is taken physically by grooming them times Grooming oneself inc taking showers or baths dail every morning before school hair every morning before sch people feel stressed out th forgotten task because eve around to get everything

The third thing to cope with s is to venture into recreation two important things that help are stressed, we need to take routine and spend some time will make us feel good.

Recreation helps teachers cop it allows them to get away environment and release all t their bodies. It also gives the self-expression through sport beneficial for people who have themselves in other ways.

Prayer is one of the salient tools in removing stress and care in our life, especially in the profession of teaching When we have a prayer life it changes us, we become sensitive to the will of God and it helps us recognize the faults of students and other co-workers with an open heart and an understanding spirit Prayer gives us the powerful virtue of patience that will help teachers to be more prudent toward themselves and others thus stress is less and is outmoded

Stress is the new plague and it affects young and old, and whatever profession you have, especially teachers which have demanding work to do But if you have peace within yourself and you have this adversity quotient then it would be easy for you to live under pressure unstained and unshattered The ability to work under pressure and remain calm and keen is intelligence thus the teacher must learn to dwell on these dynamics by gathering strength and virtue of patience to survive in a fast-paced and stressful environment

ASSESSMENT IN THE LEVEL OF AWARENESS OF PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM (4P’S) BENEFICIARIES: BASIS FOR AN ORIENTATION PROGRAM

For many years, the Philippines' poverty rate has been consistently high To address this issue, the government has implemented the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s). However, in a random interview conducted, it was found out that some parent-beneficiaries of 4P’s are not aware on the content of the program. The study assessed the level of awareness of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) beneficiaries of Gordon Heights National High School. A descriptive survey research design was employed in the study The results revealed that most of the respondents were in their middle adulthood stage of life, married, high schools graduates, do not have source of income, having three children with five members of the family, and were already four years as beneficiary of 4P’s. Most of the respondents were not aware in the history, selection and qualification, and conditions of the program. On the other hand, most of the respondents were moderately on the objectives and benefits of 4P’s There is no significant relationship on the respondents’ level of awareness along with the socio-demographic profile Thus, it is recommended that an orientation program can be proposed to be conducted in the school to increase the recipients’ level of awareness on the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program roject PAMILYA must be implemented. Questionnaires may also be translated to Filipino language so that the content will be easily understood by the respondents.

P The DSWD and the Local Government Units should intensify the screening and monitoring process of 4P’s beneficiaries For future researches, the participants may be extended to student-beneficiaries Related

RECORD KEEPING: A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY

Record keeping is a great responsibility Patience and dedication are required Records must be kept in their right location for quick access. A document must be placed in a folder properly labeled based on the content Folders or record books are usually organized on the shelves This manner of record-keeping has been practiced for years It was the way things were done in an organization's records department.

Stray papers provide security threats while creating digital and paper-based clutter It is more difficult than just discarding useless paper now that there are more papers in this digital age. Similarly, removing or completely destroying records is not always possible if the incorrect technique is used To keep expenditures in check, keep operations running smoothly, and improve security, strategic document archiving is essential. Decide which records should be securely deleted against those that should be stored to make the most of your IT resources Employees won't have to search through files to get the right information according to this idea.

Shelves are important record-keeping instruments. It can still be found in workplaces since it holds ancient records Recent records are stored in software in systematic techniques, notwithstanding the advent of technological approaches. This new method of record keeping is widely used today, but can we guarantee the security of such records? Is anyone among us willing to argue that this is the safest approach to save vital documents? What if a record is mistakenly lost or deleted from its current location?

There are several factors to consider in order for our records to remain safe in their current locations.

These might be kept safe in software or in books on shelves However, the safest method to have them is for the record clerk to always be aware of the potential of losing essential documents, because if this happens, difficulties will arise, which are extremely difficult to resolve As a result, keeping it and remembering it is a great duty. Record keeping is not an easy task; it is one of our greatest responsibilities

Financial Education Among Teachers

LiberatefromDebtsandProgressthroughInvestment

I am a teacher and I have been teaching for the past 20 years. I have taught in both public and private schools. Teaching has been my passion since I was a child, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized how important it is to teach financial education to our youth Mostly, even teachers suffer from financial concerns such as lack of emergency funds, no investment, lack of health insurance, and debt setbacks

Financial education is the process of educating people about the importance of financial education. Financial education is important because it helps people to make good decisions regarding their money The teacher must learn financial education because he or she can help students to make better decisions regarding their money and also help them in making a career choice that will benefit them financially. Many teachers become broke from the beginning of their careers until their retirement

Broken down, the word ‘broke’ means that you have no money in your pocket. The word broke is derived from the Old English word brēacen which means to fracture or crack So, if you are broke because of over-expenses then it means that you have spent all your money on something else other than what you had intended to do with it. For example, if I want to buy a new bike but I spend all my money on buying clothes then I will be said as being broke because of expenses

In this world, many people are always busy spending their money on something which they don’t need at all and they call it an expense but actually, it is not an expense but a necessity and every person has his own needs and wants so he should use his own money for his own needs, not for others or things which he doesn’t need at all. For example, some people like going out with friends so they spend their money on buying expensive clothes, eating in expensive restaurants, buying new gadgets, and focusing on buying things that have no return on investment. While we are in academic and promoting education but sadly, financial education has never been a core practice and teaching that is being taught in our schools and institution.

I believe that if we want our children to be financially stable, educated, and free from debt, then we must start with ourselves as adults. We need to take the time to educate ourselves on personal finance so that we can pass this knowledge on to our children If more adults took the time to educate themselves on personal finance they would be better prepared for life after high school or college graduation. This will help them make better decisions about their future careers and finances once they graduate from college or high school

Teachers need to learn about personal finance because many of the students they are teaching are from low-income families who may not have had much exposure or knowledge about money before attending school with me/you/us (the teacher). Many of these students come from homes where money was tight and their parents didn’t have much money at all when they were growing up

Teaching students and teachers the importance of Financial Freedom and Literacy through debt management, investments, emergency funds, and protection of finances from unwanted spending and liabilities must be the top part of academic learning and instruction that must start among educators.

Financial literacy is the ability to make informed decisions about money and financial matters

All people need to have a basic understanding of their finances, especially those who are in debt. This essay will discuss the importance of financial literacy for teachers and how they can help their students become more financially literate

Teachers play an important role in helping students develop a basic understanding of personal finance. According to “The Atlantic”, it is essential that teachers teach their students about credit cards, saving money, and other topics related to personal finance. Students should also be taught how to budget their money so that they can avoid getting into debt later on in life

23

If more teachers took this approach with their students, many would be better prepared when they leave high school and enter the workforce.

Secondly, all Filipino Teachers need to have access to affordable debt management services such as credit counseling or bankruptcy protection Many teachers are drowning in debt due to overspending or taking on too much debt at once. Having access to these services would allow individuals who are struggling with their finances the opportunity to manage their debts and eventually pay off all their dues and obligations.

Thirdly, all teachers must understand the dynamics of smart budgeting.

Budgets are a very important part of life It is the way you plan your money for the future You have to know how much money you have and what you need to buy. This is why I am going to discuss budgets and how they work from a teacher’s perspective

Budgets are used by people who want to save their money for later use or want to spend their money wisely on things that will benefit them in the long run. A teacher has many expenses such as supplies, transportation, food, etc , so she needs a budget in order not to overspend or underspend her money on things that will help her in the future when she needs it most. For example, if there is an up field trip or conference that she wants to but does not have enough funds for it then s cut back on other expenses such as buying every day instead of eating out at restaura the time because this will save more fun traveling purposes Another example woul there was an event coming up where teache around school would get together and eat together then she could cook dinner at instead of going out with friends because t save her money for the event

A teacher’s perspective is very important w comes to budgets because she has a expenses that she needs to pay for such as supplies, paying rent/mortgage, utilities, gro etc A teacher also has many things that she to buy but does not have enough funds fo such as going on vacation or buying gi birthdays and holidays. Another example wo if there was an event coming up where te from around school would get together a dinner together then she could cook din home instead of going out with friends becau will save her money for the event.

A teacher also has many things that she wants to buy but does not have enough funds for them such as going on vacation or buying gifts for birthdays and holidays. Another example would be if there was an event coming up where teachers from around school would get together and eat dinner together then she could cook dinner at home instead of going out with friends because this will save her money for the event

Another thing a budget can help you do is to plan your future expenses so you know exactly how much you need to set aside each month to pay off any debts or bills you may have later on down the road For example, if I wanted to go on vacation next year but did not have enough funds saved up I could use my budget so I can put aside some money each month so that when it comes time.

Budget can help us stay within my monthly spending limits by helping us track our expenses throughout the month to avoid overspending. Every teacher should consider learning about before they even think about starting their financial education journey: saving for retirement; paying off their student loans; understanding credit scores; and building an

Sagip Gutom For Abandoned Children Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit private organization founded in 1900 under the Salesian order of St. John "Don Bosco. This organization aims to support and subsidize girls' needs through special protection through integrated development, education, and feeding for undernourished girls. Most of these girls were

abused, abandoned, and from low-income families that couldn't afford education and proper nutrition

By understanding the dynamics of this organization, we come up with a co-solution by helping this organization through a feeding program to aid in combating malnutrition as a leading cause of poor cognitive, mental, and behavioral development With this advocacy, we believe that within a year of supporting through a feeding program weekly, you will improve the ideal weight of every beneficiary while you are giving them hope through this charitable work and social action

5 Making a final assessment of every kid's health progress through their body weight after a year

V. Mechanics and Implementation (Pre, During, and Post)

Income generation is vital to finance and sustain this whole program Our school has created a special Paluwagan Kay Teacher among school faculties who are mostly members of this project We have a cash bond that we will use as our capital to buy dried fish from a direct source in La Union from one of our student’s parents who will give us the reasonable and economical value of dried fish so that we can generate ample amount of profit to sustain the program weekly This is as well in partnership with private individuals, especially vloggers and social media influencers who voluntarily offer a segment on their vlogs and media post to promote our dried fish product

We already created Online Pages on Facebook and Instagram which have already 10k reached This will be our platform for online selling plus our own personal social media accounts

We will have an hour of Facebook live selling dried fish and we want to target 1,500 pesos of gain each day to augment the food and other operational expenses needed per weekly feeding. There would be no actual meet-up because we are trying to curtail the effect of the pandemic, we will be utilizing the use of the delivery apps such as Transportify, Maxims, and other food and service transportation outlets applicable to us and for our clientele. The delivery fee will be shouldered by our client.

All the proceeds will be deposited directly into the account of the group and weekly liquidation and

transparency will be made by the treasurer and business manager of the committee

Weekly deliberation of the budget for food and other operational expenses such as transportation and food packaging will be discussed rigidly including the assistance of the volunteered nutritionist and nurses so that the food quality will not be compromised

It will be every 8 am of the morning weekly feeding program and most likely food that we will be serving our soups ( Arroz caldo, Champorado, Macaroni soup, Sinabawang gulay, etc) fortified Moringa iron-riched bread and nutritional beverages

6 am all the foods are cooked and prepared in proper packaging, and by 7 am we are already in the venue of the organization Opening prayers and a short welcome address will be given each week.

Children are assigned by twenties at every table. One teacher and volunteer are assigned per table to create a congenial atmosphere and communication among the girls. There would be training for proper communication and using emphatic words prior to the opening salvo of the program.

When everybody has settled down, there would be a weighting of every kid to get their baseline body weight and it will be monitored every week for the whole year for progress and assessment. It will be documented properly including their information. All data will be taken with the utmost confidentiality.

There would be a book reading for 10 mins, a health talk by nurses and nutritionists for 10 mins, and a little trivia game for 5 mins.

It will be a maximum of 2 hours of events each week and it will end with a prayer and departing song from the beneficiaries.

This will be the weekly event for the one-year running program. There would be a weekly meeting after the feeding program for one hour to calibrate and check the success and failure of every weekly program. A monthly progress evaluation will be tackled. Then after the whole program is implemented deliberation and discussion for final analysis and evaluation The continuation of the next proposal and project will be determined depending on the success or a follow-up assessment be needed

To be continued......

Life can be a puzzle sometimes. Through the years, it brings various surprises and temptations. Sometimes it is difficult to cope with various situations. But when all this leaves a mark, one begins to think about it... We rewind these images for the sake of a special encounter from the past.

School class was echoing. The teacher wrote down the teaching unit on the board. A knock on the door interrupted her. It happened again. After that –a young woman with an apology opened the door – unsure of herself. The teacher recognized her. It was her former schoolgirl. These smiles and visits were not uncommon, but she did not expect to see her after so many years. She remembered their first meeting – a timid little girl, who longed for love and attention, who sat squirming on a student's bench, and who needed a lot of courage to speak up. She always encouraged her when grief stroked her. She remembered the moment when the girl had told her in front of everyone that she loved her as a mother. At that moment, the teacher felt something on the inside. This was the most beautiful present for her. She knew Gaga loved her, but not as much. She knew this was the case due to the family situation in which the child was growing up. Her mother abandoned her because of a better life. And the others – that was a special story.

Years passed at lightning speed. She never saw the girl again. Now, there was a young woman standing in front of her with uncertainty and fear.

"I came to see you teacher. You know, I got married and I'm having a baby. I could never forget you and I often think about you."

She talked about her life as well as the feelings and fears that sometimes overwhelmed her. The teacher listened carefully and encouraged her as usual. They exchanged phone numbers. They occasionally talked and texted.

One day, a teacher received Gaga's message which upset her greatly. Gaga feared childbirth–the C-section. She needed support. Afraid, she was supported by somebody who was not only a teacher but a great friend at crucial moments as well.

The teacher was overjoyed when she was told that Gaga had given birth to a baby boy and that the birth turned out well.

An invisible – unbreakable bond remained between them.

I am a Woman SumanaBhattacharjee

Whenever it comes to my mind that "I am a woman, it never gives me any negative or feeble idea, rather I am proud to be a woman and consider myself a powerful being. I lost my mother when I was eight years old. But I still remember how my mother took care of us even with her teaching job. She didn't have anyone to help her with her household activities My father used to come from his job place once a week She was the only one who took care of the entire household, her job, and moreover a mentally handicapped uncle who don't have anyone to take care of. Whenever I remember those days I was astonished by my mother's capability and always proud of her. As a daughter, I inherited some qualities from her and unfortunately, I got the same fate I started my life all alone at 9 years old Mother left us all alone My sister was of 14 years It was really difficult for us to establish ourselves without our mother's help. But gradually we did it and we turned in a woman from the girl after a decade. Decades went after overcoming many ups and downs now I'm a mature person I saw different types of people including some awkward men I handled a maledominated society where women are rarely appreciated I met several interviews where I was interrogated about my personal life. Being a woman it was difficult to face but I cope with it. I established myself, I became a mother and motherhood made me a much more responsible person than before I tried to understand that being a mother is a real responsibility that can be performed perfectly only by a woman I took care of my eighty years old father I gave him mental support which was most important in his old age. I think did the job of a son until his death. Life is a chain of duty and only a woman can handle it perfectly if she wants. God gave her immense power to do so in every way As a mother, we compromise many things, our careers, our enjoyment, and our wishes But it never makes us weak, rather gives us more power to face the hurdles of life But above all, we are more powerful when we stand by another woman . Respecting each other is the way to be more powerful and stable. Competing with a man never gives us strength It enhances our strength when we never compare, but rather help those woman who is away from the light of education and never could understand their real worth in this society.

Feminine Force

The stylish oval mirror on my Mom's dressing table always beckons. In the first light of dawn I see her, fresh as dew, combing her hair. Her favourite Evening in Paris fragrance floats to me as I rub my eyes. Propping myself up on my pillow, I watch her get ready for the day That perfume, a blend of soap, cream, talc and some scent - that has been my takeaway since I can remember. As I grew up, instinctively I knew the Scent of a Woman was her most identifiable aspect. That invisible impact of her persona. Naturally, I imbibed the same. Her freshness was not just in her daily regime Her thirst for new knowledge, skills and ideas were a great influence too Like her, I craved to be accomplished, both in the letters and arts. She'd been a state athlete and a trained dancer. I grew up in an Air Force station, and my mother was my coach. So I too got some winning moments in the camp. But my discipline in sports and aesthetics in dance were established As the years spanned out, we shared many moments, both joyous and difficult. But her humility and simplicity became ingrained in me. We learnt to rejoice with the smallest of things - sighting a yellow bird or becoming ecstatic over a new bloom Without my knowing, I was being moulded in her persona That persona which strove for excellence in whatever role or relationship she played

As a wife she was perfect - understanding, supportive, loving and caring. As a mother she was a perfectionist, immaculate in her care of us, strict, a health freak and a human clock As a person she was pious, kind to a fault and funny in her faults Always laughing at her own mistakes Subconsciously, I was picking up those traits as my roles in my life expanded.

But it was her old age that impacted me most. Retiring as a military wife, her strength in her vulnerable years, her fortitude in the face of adversity and her calmness in her lonesome days became ingrained in my mind Never complaining, always fulfilled, forever compassionate about others' failings.

She still loved her perfume and looking fresh. I grew up in her inspiration, and sketched out my roles on the drawing board It was a tall order, but I saw myself reflected in her eyes Compassion, empathy, piety, caring, uplifting, educating, dutiful, diligent, and moral - many traits of a woman essential to live out that blessing given to us.

I am a woman and I am blessed. I will bestow to the world as I have been granted by His Grace

"My Name Is..."

I am the most beautiful creation you ever find on earth At the same time, I am the most exploited gender on earth. I am the one who carries over the progeny. Yet, I am the one who bears the brunt of so many. Predictably it's mere gender bias. Within my fragile sensitive heart, I possess the courage to face the challenges of life

The selfish motives of egoistic men couldn't push me into the dark reducing me to childmaking machinery but in the course killed my finer feelings Inhibitions from family and male-dominated society trampled my dreams. But it could not suppress my will to live a life of my own. My visions blossomed very beautifully challenging the people who tried killing me brutally in different guises

At last, I am out of that prison which made me think that I am fit only for household work

Breaking the rules I have achieved commendably leaving my signature mark in all fields of social responsibilities. I am shining like a star incredibly. I am not just a piece of meat to quench the lust. Instead, I am the very essence of life without which the whole universe is incomplete Respect me and I respect you Encourage me, I assist you in all possible ways

If a man is one face of life I am the other face that no one can ever ignore Please do remember I'm the golden crown of this wonderful world.

Love Thyself First!

" One is not born but rather becomes a woman"

Enough ink has been spilled on discussing what it means to be a woman. For centuries human experiences have been synonymous with masculine experiences which made the collective image of humanity one-sided and incomplete. The constitution of our country gives equal rights to women yet there is some unequal music. Though the situation has changed drastically in the course of time yet there are miles to traverse till we can herald the advent of free will for women. Not to be expressive, not to be assertive in terms of strength, not to be dominant in thoughts, not to be aggressive in day-today affairs. This is what is expected of a woman always. We as a society know that socially constructed myths exist and put women in a marginal position.

A baby girl is a bundle of joy. Then why her wings are plucked when she wants to fly high? Performing the roles of a daughter, sister, mother, and daughter-in-law she endeavors hard to fit into these roles and cuts off bits and pieces of herself which protest. The glass ceiling may trigger passion in the elite class and society may have some superwomen but there are many women who are quietly fighting the odds, displaying resilience, and working tirelessly to make their lives worthwhile.

I know many of my friends and colleagues who find it hard to balance motherhood and professional aspirations. Yet they work hard to be superwomen. I am one of them. Earlier I found it difficult to manage but gradually I myself learned and made my family learn that all of us as a family need to work so that I can pursue my hobbies. Now I feel pride in my achievements and love myself, my "me time" I remain calm, content and confident, and at peace with myself.

So all the women who place their families before themselves and place themselves as the last priority, spare time to catch up with friends, dance, paint, read, write, dress up, pamper themselves silly, indulge themselves, and then see with greater self - esteem, and confidence, how you can be more giving. Love thyself first!

Be the heroine of your life, not the victim!

Rise and shine leaving behind a caravan of the drudgery of dependence and despondency Climb the steps to reach the horizon and write your own destiny.

I Walked with the Lions

I drank the sunlight that leaked through the trees I tasted the bitter taste of honey mixed with my sweat My hips swayed with confidence that I didn't feel My back was heavy from the loaded of life that I carried.

I walked with the lions. I hold my head high, not letting an ounce of fear that poured through my vein spill through my eyes. I couldn't let the unknown kill my strive. I couldn't let what others thought of me bleed into my mind

I walked with the lions My golden crown tilted upon my head while mud and dirt decorated my house dress. Doubt and wearily slowed down my walk. The breeze flows through me, revealing my true feeling.

I am a woman whose tears and pain drowned her.

I am a woman who is tired of wearing a superwoman cape There is no prince to save me, no Godmother to grant my wish, no shoes to click together

I lost my purpose along the way, lost the will to carry on. My ancestors' blood poured into my spirit, and the seed from the earth led my path. So I gained my strength and followed the lions.

I walked with the lion I fixed my crown and straightened my back I briefly closed my eyes I whisper the words my mother taught me God molded me with love He weaved me together to be a warrior to handle the rain and storms. I am an umbrella to protect our children and home. As a wife, I am my husband's backbone. I am a woman that will stand as tall as the Statue of Liberty with a torch in my right hand and fight for what is right

And I walked with the lions through the jungle of life because I am more than a mother and a wife. I am a woman who roars with the best of them.
