State Commander Norman Macey announced his appointment of Comrade Lupita Perez (left) as the Texas VFW State Adjutant at the same meeting.

State Quartermaster Lowrence is a Gold Legacy Life Member of the Golding-Meadows VFW Post 1475 in Amarillo, Texas, and is a Past All-American District 9 Commander and Past All-American Post Commander (twice). He has earned multiple honors and National and State appointments including the Department of Texas J.T. Rutherford Award (2021) and Danny Henry Award (2018), and National appointments as Assistant Inspector General (twice), Aidede-Camp, Special Aide-de-Camp, member of the National Veterans Program Committee, and 2020 National Convention Committee.

State Adjutant Perez is a Gold Legacy Life Member of CalderonDaily Memorial VFW Post 12178 in Weslaco, Texas. She was the first female Commander of District 18 where she earned All-State honors. She is also a Past All-American Commander of Post 7473 in Elsa, Texas (three times), a Life Member of the VFW National Home for Children and a 2020 recipient of the Department of Texas J.T. Rutherford Award. Comrade Perez has also been appointed to several National positions and committees including the Chairman of the National VFW Committee for Programs and National Legislative Committee (including appointment as the Texas VFW Chair from 2020-21).

MASTERS (center)was awarded the Dan Garcia Achievement Award as the Veteran Service Officer of the Year for 2021 at the Veteran County Service Association of Texas Annual Accreditation Training. Pictured is Association President Sal Castillo & in coming President Melissa Castillo. The Dan Garcia is the highest award granted by the Association.

Jewett Post 3542 celebrates its 40th Anniversary

ON AUGUST 28, 2021, THE POST CELEBRATED ITS

40TH ANNIVERSARY. Over 300 were in attendance. The Post was spilling over with old friends and newly made ones from each of the local communities it represents.
