North and Central America news Regional update

I hope this issue of Inside Energy finds you well. The EIC North & Central America team continues to work diligently in supporting our members across the region, through regular member Amand a Duho n engagement and support, and the delivery of high-value events including networking opportunities. On 11 February 2021, the EIC hosted the latest US Offshore Wind webinar providing delegates with an update from leading developers. We were honoured to hear from our own Lara Juergens, Senior Energy Analyst and Strategic Relationships Manager, and from developers Grant van Wyngaarden, Senior Supply Chain Development Manager, Ørsted and Salvo Vitale, Country Manager USA. We are grateful to EIC member Remote Medical International for its global digital sponsorship for this webinar. The next webinar in the US Offshore Wind series will focus on fit-forpurpose port infrastructure, a critical element to support offshore wind projects as the industry develops and grows.

Houston remains the energy capital of the world and as the world recovers from the COVID pandemic, it is an ideal time to strategise and build a key presence in the region, enabling the growth of your business and the award of local business contracts. With competitive pricing for professional business services and environment, the EICLaunchPad service includes fully serviced offices, virtual office services, hotdesks, in addition to conference room and meeting room hire. Forthcoming events

The EIC, in partnership with the Department for International Trade (DIT) launched a series of Mexico Energy webinars in February and March, specifically focused on opportunities to diversify from oil and gas to renewables, to ‘greening’ operations, and achieving net-zero around traditional oil and gas operations. The first webinar provided a Mexico Market Update, with delegates receiving presentations from Juliana Correa, Director, DIT; Miguel Carreon, Senior Commercial Director Mexico & Central America, Baker Hughes and our own Neil Golding, Director of Business Intelligence. This first webinar in the series provided a greater awareness of Mexico business opportunities for the UK supply chain, all while facilitating Mexico access to UK expertise through speedy networking exchanges with speakers. The adoption of net-zero strategies and the scaling up of renewables will lead to a new market dynamic for Mexico. Get in touch Share your news and views...
