EDITOR’S WELCOME Hello and welcome back to Deeside for the first game here in 2017. We've had a few changes in the squad since we were last here, but the results are continuing, with two 5-1 victories in our last three games. This week's programme features our usual great content from Will, Trevor and Dave while also including a number of adverts for our great Quay in The Community schemes including our girls football and parties at The Quay 3G. Phase Two begins with golden challenge It's a case of deja vu today as The Nomads start phase two facing the same side who they started phase one against. On the August afternoon last year, The Nomads left Richmond Park with a 0-0 draw having dominated much of the game until Ian Kearney was sent off in the second half. The return phase one fixture here saw a tight game decided by a Nick Rushton header in the 56th minute, so we expect another tight game today. The Nomads come into the game in great form having gone undefeated since their 3-0 defeat to TNS, picking up a double of Airbus, a draw with Bala and a JD Welsh Cup victory, scoring 13 goals in four games. Carmarthen will also come into the game with a positive mindset having also gone undefeated in their last four games, picking up victories over Cardiff Met and Rhyl, whilst picking up draws against Cefn Druids and also Cardiff Met, which helped secure their top six place. Ahead of the game, Andy Morrison said "A very warm welcome to Mark Aizlewood and all connected with Carmarthen Town. We head into the second phase of games in good form having scored 13 goals in our last four games and conceding only two. We are giving ourselves a chance of winning games and every player knows they have to be at the top of their game to stay in the team. Saturday's win at Haverfordwest was a top performance - no team could have lived with us in that first half. Today, we will have Ryan Wignall and Nathan Woolfe back with Ryan having been cup tied and Woolfey being ill. Our games against Carmarthen this season have been very tight affairs with only one goal scored in 180 minutes of football. I've said many times that I'm fortunate to be managing in this league and to come up against managers with the experience of Mark Aizlewood is always a challenge, but one I always look forward to." Morrison concluded; "I expect a very close game with very small margins and small details being the difference. Carmarthen are rightly in the top six and more than deserve to be there. I know Aize won't thank me for saying it and they will feel that they have overachieved making the top six, but for me, Carmarthen's best eleven is as good as any other eleven in the league. Nomads see off Bluebirds to reach Welsh Cup Quarter Finals The Nomads progressed to the Quarter Finals of the JD Welsh Cup on Saturday afternoon with a 5-1 victory over Haverfordwest County. Goals from Les Davies, Matty Owen, Tom Field and a Matty Williams brace ensured a comfortable Nomads victory, with Greg Walters netting a consolation for the home side.

The tie was The Nomads’ reward for a dramatic 3-2 victory against Goytre United in the third round, with Haverfordwest overcoming YMCA Newport, Undy Athletic and Afan Lido to reach the fourth round stage. The game began with both teams starting brightly in their bid to extend their cup campaign. The Nomads experienced early chances with Davies heading a Wilde cross wide before Kai Edwards had a shot deflected off both goalkeeper James Gwilt and the post. The Nomads did however break the deadlock in an excellent three minute goal rush. Les Davies headed home in the 10th minute after connecting well with a Matty Owen cross, before Owen himself scored in the 12th minute, slotting the ball in from close range following a fine save from a Matty Williams header.
Williams was soon on the scoresheet however as he got the final goal of The Nomads’ scoring streak, which was also a strong header beating the 'keeper from around eight yards. Three goals in three minutes put The Nomads firmly on top at Conygar Bridge Meadow, but Haverfordwest ensured the tempo of the game remained high with continued efforts to get at the Nomads end. Controlling the game with their 3-0 lead, The Nomads put on an impressive passing display in the Haverfordwest half, with Wes Baynes and Kai Edwards having efforts go wide. On 44 minutes The Nomads’ fourth came via Matty Williams who secured his brace with a close range effort just yards from the Bluebirds goal. The hosts then reduced the deficit when Greg Walters sent an 18 yard effort into the bottom right corner of the Nomads goal just before the interval. The goal was awarded in confusing circumstances with offside originally being given with the referee overruling the decision to award the goal, a role-reversal from a few minutes earlier when Kai Edwards looked to have scored for The Nomads only to see his goal ruled out for offside. The Nomads went in disappointed to lose their clean sheet, but overall pleased with a dominant performance which persisted throughout the second half. Changes were made at half time, with Jay Owen and Matty Williams replaced by John Disney and Tom Field. Nine minutes after the restart Nomads got their fifth and final goal of the game, when from 18 yards Tom Field hit a controlled shot into the bottom right corner of the Haverfordwest goal after Matty Owen had burst into The Bluebirds box. Minutes after Field’s goal The Nomads nearly conceded a second, when a Haverfordwest striker got in a great position only to send a curling effort wide from inside the Nomads area. Further changes were made with Callum Morris coming on in place of Matty Owen in the 70th minute, a stage where The Nomads’ victory was in no doubt. Haverfordwest’s tenacious work rate meant that The Nomads’ defensive line stayed alert, with Danny Harrison making a block to deny a cross into his area in the 82nd minute. In the closing stages of the game both Tom Field and George Horan went for goal, but at full time The Nomads’ 5-1 scoreline reflected a composed and professional away performance from all involved. The Nomads reward' for this victory is a tricky away tie against Prestatyn Town in the JD Welsh Cup quarter finals to be played on the weekend of 25/26 February.

A VIEW FROM THE STAND
BY WILL CATTERALL Hello and welcome to A View From The Stand where it’s great to be back at home for the first time in over a month to kick off our Phase Two campaign of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League. It wouldn’t be right to say we’ve got a tough start, because every single game is going to be an extreme test from now until the end of the season. However, after the month we’ve had, we’re well prepared and ready to fight. We are unbeaten in four games, with an excellent double over Airbus at Christmas preceding a high-level game at Bala Town. Both teams were set up to Conference standards of football, and we went away with a well deserved point, and could’ve taken the win if not for an unlucky effort hitting the post and some great goalkeeping. It was only a draw, but it’s given us high hopes for what is to come from us in Phase Two. Then, we travelled down south and even further to face Haverfordwest in the JD Welsh Cup, where we expected a tough game but rose to tackle the occasion. Three goals between the 10th and 13th minutes killed the contest in a highly professional away performance against a good feeder league outfit. Our reward for that isn’t much of a reward at all, as we must battle with Prestatyn Town in the Quarter Final away next month. A healthy rivalry between ourselves and the Seasiders goes back some way now, and this game is bound to be another crunch match with a Semi Final place at stake. After this game we’re on the road to Bangor and Bala, before facing Cardiff Met at home on 11 March. Wherever we go we need as much support as possible, so keep an eye on our fixture list if you’re up for an away day with us. Nomads Ultras Prediction: The Nomads 3-0 Carmarthen Town Nomads Ultras' Player of the Week: Matty Owen Matty joined us from Newtown in the summer, and has had a growing involvement in the side. His skill and awareness is a great asset to our midfield, and he is no stranger to helping our attacking line with a goal and assist in last week’s cup win over Haverfordwest. We look forward to him helping our push for Europe during Phase Two.

NOMADS TO LAUNCH HALL OF FAME The Nomads are pleased to announce that the Club will be establishing the Connah's Quay Nomads Hall of Fame, with the launch ceremony scheduled for March/April. Established in 1946 as Connah's Quay Juniors, the present day club was the brainchild of ex-Wrexham, Everton and Wales centre-half legend, Thomas George Jones (1917 - 2004). "TG" Jones, as he was known, moved from Wrexham to Merseyside in 1936 for ÂŁ3,000, winning the old Division One title in his second season with Everton, before the Second World War interrupted his career. Attracted by the reputation of the famous international, youngsters from Connah's Quay and its' surrounding towns and villages flocked to join the new team and they quickly became a force in North Wales youth football, winning the Welsh Youth Cup in 1948 (pictured above). The Hall of Fame will be prominently displayed at The Quay 3G Clubhouse and the Club are reaching out for any relatives/descendants of Mr. Jones to help endorse this fantastic occasion. An initial group of "Hall of Famers" will be selected to launch this initiative, followed by three new inductees every March going forward. All Hall of Famers will receive a commemorative gift and have their names enshrined in The Nomads' history books. Nomads Owner, Gary Dewhurst commented; "Having recently visited and sponsored the International Boxing Hall of Fame in New York , I thought it fitting to launch a similar local initiative for a club that recently celebrated its' 70th anniversary. I don't think the North Wales community and Welsh football hierarchy in general fully appreciate the historic reputation of this club and the commitment to youth football development that has passed through generation to generation. The story of TG Jones is incredible and whilst I accept that he went on to successfully manage our current WPL rivals, Bangor City, without him, maybe Connah's Quay Nomads wouldn't exist. If anything, it will give the 250 kids involved in our Academy a history lesson!" Dewhurst concluded; "We will be asking for nominations through our social media channels and we hope this will involve both ex players/officials and supporters." BY TREVOR GREEN Good Afternoon Welcome to Carmarthen Town. We welcome the Old Gold to Deeside once again. They will be delighted to have gained a top six berth again - they took eight points from their last four games to do so and kept three clean sheets in those games. Matches with Carmarthen Town are never easy and always involve battling a fit and physical opposition. Mark Aizelwood has performed his usual minor miracle and has marshalled his resources so well over the years that no one is surprised. As we discovered last week, they have to endure an energy-sapping journey north every other week and we will hope to take advantage today. We will do all we can to make their stay enjoyable in every way except for the 90 minutes on the field. We are making a change off the pitch today. In recent home fixtures, the tunnel area has clogged up with playing staff coming in at half time whilst officials and guests also come down the same corridor to the former hospitality room. The jam was far from ideal and led to several players not getting to the dressing room unhindered. So today, (and if all goes smoothly for the remainder of the season), guests will leave by the gate at the left hand side of the stand and have their cuppa, cakes and biscuits over in the college bar/restaurant. We hope this will work out ok and we will welcome feedback. This match marks the start of the phase two campaign. We expect ten competitive fixtures between good sides. We had a preview in the goalless draw at Bala. What a game - two well-drilled sides with no obvious weaknesses going toe-to-toe for 90 minutes. It was of very high quality and went some way to answering how good this league is. The answer being very good. Our two new signings are doing very well. Kai was steadfast from first to last and then a gem of a little cameo from Ryan Wignall who almost unhinged that excellent Bala defence. One of

the better nil-nil’s you will see and an indicator of how well matched these top sides are. Little advantages are important. As usual the “luck” goes against us. In a head-to-head battle it’s a big advantage to stay ahead, and for your rival to have to chase you. Yet on February 18th, TNS are in Scotland so we will have no game. We hope today’s guests can do us a favour by preventing Bala gaining a win that would possibly see them go into our big re-run at the Lakeside on March 4th, level on points with us. With Bangor and Cardiff Met not having Managers with the correct qualification for their sides to compete in Europe next summer then three of TNS, Bala, Nomads and Carmarthen will go into UEFA football. Only a Welsh Cup win by one of the Cymru Alliance sides can stop that now. One of the reasons the WPL panel give in clinging on to their view that a sixteen team league is not for them is that promoting teams from the feeder leagues will weaken the competition. Yet the evidence is contrary. The last two seasons runners up in the Nathaniel MG Cup have been Barry Town and Denbigh. Both beat several WPL clubs to get there (we were one of Denbigh’s victims) and then in last week’s Welsh Cup last sixteen, Cymru Alliance sides won four out of four against WPL clubs. Caernarfon beat Rhyl (after defeating Carmarthen in the round before). Prestatyn thrashed Aberystwyth away from home 5-1. Llanfair Caereinon beat Druids 4-1 and Guilsfield sent Cardiff Met home 2-4 losers. Bala needed extra time to beat Penybont. We won comfortably 5-1 at Welsh League Haverfordwest but our hosts never stopped harassing and running at us. True TNS put seven past Welsh League Division two Llanelli, but on our way home we stopped for food in Rhyader and met two coach loads from Llanelli on their way home. With the apathy the ‘play everyone four times’ WPL causes, most clubs struggle to get such support at home! Time for a change? So next week, we go to Bangor City, then a blank weekend is followed by an enthralling Welsh Cup Quarter Final at Prestatyn (25th Feb) with Bala away the next week (4th March). WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE 2009/10 BY DAVID RAPSON With the prospect of achieving a place in the so-called ‘Super 12’ at the end of the 2009/10 season all 18 clubs that set off in mid-August were determined not to miss the boat. Of course, six teams would find themselves outside the Welsh Premier League twelve months later and, like everyone else The Nomads had no intention of being one of the unlucky few. The close season had seen further managerial upheaval at the Deeside Stadium with Jim Hackett briefly replacing the departing Steve O’Shaughnessy only to find himself offered a post in Hong Kong. With Hackett’s departure, former Wrexham man Mark McGregor accepted the position. The new campaign began with a creditable 1-1 draw at The Gnoll, against big-spenders Neath thanks to a Chris Herbert equalising goal before a decent 3-1 home success over Cefn Druids put The Nomads into the top four. On several occasions, early season hopes have quickly evaporated and I’m afraid this was to be no exception as a 0-5 loss away to Llanelli followed, despite decent results against Caersws and Porthmadog in the intervening League Cup games. As luck would have it, our next league opponents at the Stadium, local rivals Rhyl, were already challenging for the top and achieved it with a two-goal victory which pushed us into the lower reaches of the table. Indeed, our place there was cemented by a 0-3 loss away to The New Saints a week later leaving us pointless and goalless from the three games that followed the win over Druids. A share of the points at home to Haverfordwest County (1-1) was followed by a pleasantly surprising 2-1 win away over Aberystwyth Town; Park Avenue rarely having been a happy hunting ground for The Nomads. Sam McNutt and Danny Forde earned the three points each with a well taken goal. A 2-0 Welsh Cup victory over Pwllheli kept the momentum going and another point was gleaned from a 0-0 stalemate against Technogroup Welshpool. Needless to say, any smug smiles were soon removed from The Nomads’ faces by a brace of away defeats to Prestatyn Town and Carmarthen Town prior to memorable League and Welsh Cup victories in the same week. The Nomads had scraped through the group stages of the Loosemores League Cup to earn an away tie in the quarter-finals at Bala Town. Trailing 1-2 going into added time and with only ten men following Ben Alston’s red card, Mike Hayes and Sam McNutt netted for The Nomads to register an unlikely win and a semi-final tie with Rhyl. The following weekend, Airbus UK Broughton took us into extra-time in the third round of the Welsh Cup making the score 2-2 in the 89th minute from an indirect free-kick inside our penalty area. A shootout to decide the victors loomed until Andy Olsen’s strike in the 116th minute gave us the win. Airbus had the opportunity for revenge six days 16

later when our two clubs met again in a league fixture at The Airfield and exacted full retribution on the Nomads with a 4-0 victory. The first leg of the League Cup semi-final against Rhyl was staged early in November – already our 19th competitive game of the season. The Lilywhites were top of the league and fifteen points ahead of us but that counted for little when Craig Jones and Chris Herbert scored to ensure Connah’s Quay took a 2-1 advantage into the game at Belle Vue. Unfortunately that soon disappeared as Rhyl comfortably won the second leg to send us out of the competition. A 0-3 loss at home to Port Talbot Town, who were destined to finish third in the league, was followed by a creditable 0-0 draw away to Bangor City yet after 13 league games we had just two wins to show for our efforts. Fortunately, that figure was doubled in the next two matches with a 3-1 success over Newtown and a 1-0 win at Porthmadog where substitute Sam McNutt scored another important goal. A 0-1 loss to Bala Town on Boxing Day was followed by a month off thanks to the bad weather and our subsequent exit from the Welsh Cup at Afan Lido. While team spirit could not be questioned this defeat, in extra-time to the Welsh League side, was a bitter pill to swallow. To their enormous credit, the players put that disappointment to the back of their minds when The New Saints came to Deeside on the next Friday night. Cheered on by a crowd over 250 a goal from Mike Hayes secured the points and condemned the eventual champions to only the second league defeat they would suffer all season. Sadly the team was unable to build on that win and lost the next three games without scoring. Mid-March found The Nomads fifth from bottom but more realistically six points behind Haverfordwest County who occupied the all-important 12th berth in the league table. Another Craig Jones goal earned a point against Prestatyn Town before Rob Jones struck his first goal for the club to ensure a 1-0 win at Welshpool. With seven of our last 11 league games at home, chances of avoiding the drop were decent and improved thanks to the four points gained from the next two games – and without conceding a goal. Airbus UK Broughton then completed a league double winning by a single goal before Llanelli came north. Yet again it was Sam McNutt who earned The Nomads all three points against the eventual runners-up. A run of four undefeated games followed as The Nomads despatched Caersws 5-0 and then took five points from successive away draws at Bala and Newtown and a 1-0 win at Cefn Druids. With two games remaining (both at home against Bangor City and Porthmadog) Nomads lay 14th just two points from the safe position although we had failed to gain the required Domestic Licence for the following season at that point. Nor did we have any idea that Rhyl FC would fail to gain the licence despite finishing in sixth position. In the event Nomads beat Porthmadog in the last game by 3 goals to nil but Newtown gained a point from their last game. That meant both ourselves and Newtown had 41 points but The Robins had a marginally better goal difference meaning Connah’s Quay’s 18 year tenure in the Welsh Premier League had come to an end. The most galling fact to emerge when the dust had settled was not so much that we had lost out on goal difference but that we had finished no fewer than 17 points ahead of the team immediately below us. So it was that a season (at least) in the Cymru Alliance lay ahead of not only ourselves but also the other five teams to miss out – Rhyl, Porthmadog, Welshpool, Caersws and Cefn Druids, three of whom have never yet made it back to the top table. CARMARTHEN'S HISTORY
THE CLUB was formed in 1948 and admitted to the Carmarthenshire Association Football League. The present ground, Richmond Park, was created in 1952. Election to the Welsh League came in 1953 with the club gaining its first honours in 1959-60 with promotion from Division 2 West to the First Division of the Welsh League. Progress was patchy in the 70's and 80's with intermittent promotion and relegation in the Welsh League Divisions until the 1995-96 season. This was the best season in the club's history with both the Welsh League title and the Cyril Rogers Cup coming to Carmarthen - a notable double. The following season 1996-97 was Carmarthen Town's first in the National League and another milestone was achieved in the 1999-2000 season when the Club were runners-up in the Welsh Senior Cup under manager Tomi Morgan who had joined the club in mid season. 2000-2001 season was Carmarthen's fifth in the League of Wales. A third position finish saw the club gain qualification for the UEFA Intertoto Cup, an honour that had been denied them on goal difference the previous season. The Intertoto Cup tie against Swedish giants AIK Stockholm was a significant landmark in the history of the club and ‘Town's' first European adventure ended in a creditable 3-0 defeat on aggregate. Following a 0-0 draw in the ‘home' match all the goals were conceded in the away leg played at Sweden's National Råsunda Stadium in Stockholm. The 2001-2002 season was also ‘Town's' second venture in the FAW Premier Cup, and, as in the previous year, they reached the quarter-final stages of the competition losing out to Football League opposition. The club also reached the quarter final of the Welsh Cup and the semi-final of the League Cup but an indifferent run of results towards the end of the season saw a mid table finish in tenth position. 20

The 2002-2003 campaign saw Town disappointingly finish in the bottom half of the table. The season was not without its positive side however as a number of Town's younger players had the opportunity to gain valuable first team experience. With the club resolved to regain its position of previous years significant changes to the squad were made for the 2003-2004 season. However the anticipated change in fortunes did not materialise and with the departure of manager Tomi Morgan team management responsibility was taken over by Andrew York. In December 2003 the club appointed Mark Aizlewood as club coach. Despite continuing to struggling in the League Town enjoyed a successful Challenge Cup campaign finishing as runners up to Rhyl FC. Having achieved significant developments off the field the club was determined to redress its playing profile. With the resignation of Andrew York Mark Jones was appointed manager in May 2004. Consequently there was a significant change in personnel and Town had a decidedly ‘new look' for the 2004 - 05 season. Gary Lloyd took over coaching duties following the departure of Mark Aizlewood to Chester and with Town finishing in sixth position and winning their first silverware in the form of the Loosemore's League Cup Town were clearly back in contention. Mark Aizlewood returned to the club during the close season to complement Mark Jones ' management structure and with several additions to the playing squad Town continue to strengthen to maintain the club's momentum for this season's campaign. A UEFA Cup spot was Town's reward as loosing finalists in the Welsh Cup and a very attractive draw against Eircom League outfit Longford Town in this season's UEFA draw highlighted Town's resurrection in fortunes. A 2-0 defeat in Longford was spectacularly overturned a fortnight later at Latham Park Newtown when Town
demolished the Eircom League outfit 5-1 ( 5-3 on aggregate) achieving the highest score of any Welsh club in European competition. The second Qualifying Round saw Town drawn against Danish giants FC Copenhagen. Town performed with great credit against the international laden Danish side who recorded a 2-0 score line in both ties. The 2005-2006 season saw Town once again involved in a FAW Premier Cup campaign with an exciting win over Cardiff and a narrow extra time semi final defeat in front of a near capacity crowd against Swansea City. Following a quarter final Welsh Cup exit late season momentum saw Town gain a fourth place finish that provided a second consecutive season of European football. Defeats in both ties against Finnish League leaders Tampere United ensuring there was no repeat of the previous year's European euphoria. The 2006-2007 League campaign saw Town finish in a disappointing 7th. position but the Richmond Park outfit brought the season to a close on a high with a historic first Welsh Cup win that ensured a fourth European campaign. The win ensured a third consecutive year of European football for the club and with the departure of Mark Jones Deryn Brace took over as Player / Manager. Town hosted their first European tie (UEFA Cup) at Richmond Park against Norwegian giants SK Brann, who lost out in the knockout stages to Everton FC. Town progressed to the semi final of the FAW Premier Cup but in a tight end to the 2007-2008 season the Richmond Park outfit finish in 6th. position. A bright start to the 2008-2009 season saw Town go seven games undefeated. Looking to improve on the previous season finish Town enjoyed several good runs that kept them in contention for a top three finish.

Following Town's contentious semi final defeat to Aberystwyth Town in the Welsh Cup the Richmond Park outfit amassed their second highest total in the League for a pleasing fourth place finish. With the Welsh premier League due to be restructured at the end of the season it was vital that Town attain a top ten finish to the 2009 – 2010 campaign. But lacking consistency and with a dismal home record they languished below the magic ‘cut off’ point for most of the season. However a 4-0 home win against Druids on the last day of the season saw Town attain the target to maintain Welsh Premier status. With manager Deryn Brace resigning his post in June Tomi Morgan was appointed manager for a second term of office at Richmond Park. Despite being everybody’s favourites to be relegated the completely new look Old Gold squad battled bravely throughout the season and comfortably avoided relegation. With more time during the close season Morgan added to his young squad. Unfortunately due to the poor results Morgan was removed from his managerial post at the start of December. Mark Aizlewood was appointed as the new manager in January 2012 accompanied by Neil Smothers as player coach. They have remained in situ since then. The main achievements during this period have been two Word Cup final victories. By now Aizlewood and Smothers have been joined on the coaching staff by Danny Thomas. Season 2015/16 ended disappointingly when the Old Gold lost the play off semi final to eventual Europa League qualifiers gap Connah’s Quay. Having retained a large proportion of their squad the coaching staff begin their season from a solid base.

FIRST TEAM STAFF ANDY MORRISON - First Team Manager Morrison joined The Nomads in November 2015 and oversees all football development at the Club, working with the chairman and staff to create and implement the strategies that will help the Connah’s Quay club reach its’ full potential. Morrison, who left Airbus UK Broughton in July of 2015, was instrumental in helping the Broughton-based club reach the Europa League Qualifying Stages for three successive seasons, finishing 2nd twice and 3rd in the Welsh Premier League between 2013 - 2015. As a professional player, he captained the Manchester City side who won the Division 2 Play Off final at Wembley in 1999 and now represents the Etihad outfit as an Official Fan Ambassador. JAY CATTON - Assistant Manager and Director Football Previously a player with The Nomads but took on coaching role after four knee operations. Completed UEFA A license and also has UEFA B license in coaching goalkeepers and a BA (Hons) degree in Sports Coaching and exercise Sciences.

Catton is not only the Assistant Manager of the first team, but also Academy Y Director, over seeing all aspects of The Nomads Academy, including the CM scholarship programme run in partnership with Coleg Cambria, and was also heavily involved in ‘The Quay 3G project. MY DANNY HARRISON - Player/Coach Harrison is a product of the Tranmere Rovers youth system, having joined the side as a 13 year old, he made his first team debut in 2001 at home against Wigan Athletic. He went on to make 125 appearances for Tranmere before joining Rotherham United in 2007 where he made an additional 188 Football League appearances. In June 2012, it was announced that Harrison had rejoined Tranmere and the following summer he joined Chester FC. Harrison joined The Nomads in January 2015 and made his debut in a 1-0 victory over Bala Town, going on to make 14 appearances for The Nomads in his debut season. It was announced in May 2015 that Harrison has signed a two year deal to keep him at the Club until the end of the 2016-17 season.

How does it feel to be a Nomads player? I'm very excited to be a Nomads player - I'm looking forward to getting started with the games ahead now that I'm here. What are your early impressions of the club and squad? First impressions were very positive. Obviously I know a lot of the lads having spent time in the league before and played with a couple of them at TNS. There are some very good players at the club and I look forward to playing with them.

What targets do you have in mind for the remainder of the season? It's got to be securing second place and automatic European qualification whilst winning as many games as possible. You know the league well from your time at TNS, what do you think you can bring to the team? Hopefully I can bring a bit more experience to the side having spent six seasons in the league prior to joining Wrexham. Hopefully my strengths of my game will be postivie for the team in getting the right results and staking the claim for European football. How important was Andy Morrison in you joining the club? Andy was a very important part of me joining the club. We have spoken a lot recently and his desire to win football games along with his experience playing in the same position as myself will only make me a better player going forwards with The Nomads.
