CULTURAL

CYCLO EXPLORATIONS FROM VND

800,000

Hop on a cyclo or traditional three-wheeled bicycle taxi and embark on an authentic local experience to leisurely explore cultural destinations. Drop by the Phan Thiet fishing village market for a variety of freshly caught seafood before visiting Van Thuy Tu temple, a national relic built in 1762 that worships the Nam Hai (whale) deity believed to protect fishermen from adverse weather and sea conditions. The temple also stores authentic Nguyen dynasty artefacts, skeletal whale remains over centuries, and the largest whale skeleton in Southeast Asia.

Wander around the Duc Thanh School, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked as a teacher under the name of Nguyen Tat Thanh in 1910. Ranked as a national historic site in 1986 and well-preserved for its century-old design, the school displays showpieces and spaces of the President’s life and work, including a garden with a carambola tree he often visited. View his personal artefacts at the Ho Chi Minh Museum opposite the school. Continue to Ong Pagoda, a colourful Chinese-style temple since 1778, dedicated to worshipping the deity Quan Cong.

Explore the captivating Phan Thiet market that offers fresh produce, dried goods and bustling hawker stalls, creating an enticing street food haven for gastronomy enthusiasts and culture seekers before returning to the resort.
