COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT Murdock’s Southern Bistro Cocoa Village is a small hub of local river rats from all
walks of life. It is a COMMUNITY of people that are tight-knit, as if they are in their own world of Cheers, where everybody knows your name. If your Cocoa Village business runs out of something, your business neighbor will surely have your back. When a local employee has an emergency, they all band together to support and offer relief. Whether it’s a fundraiser or bailing someone out of jail, you are going to be okay because you are a village rat. Murdocks’s Southern Bistro is the heart of Cocoa Village. The historic building has been the stomping ground to many locals and tourists for nearly two decades. Those who have worked at Murdock’s will always have a little spot in their heart for their experience they shared. Owner Stevie Whitaker has run a very successful restaurant but as a disagreement between the building owner came up, 32 employees (that are all like family) were waiting in limbo questioning if they can keep their job. The stress of everything has not stopped Stevie. In time, big news will be announced for a new location in Historic Cocoa Village. This is only the start of a new chapter for bigger and better things.
