Unconditional Faith “I’m going to go tightrope walking from Twin Tower A to Tower B, on Tuesday, at 12:00 p.m.,” said a brave young man. That Tuesday, hundreds of people gathered to watch the unbelievable take place before them. At exactly midday, the fellow went up to the roof of Tower A, walked to the designated area and started walking across the rope. The people assembled, raised their eyes and watched in amazement at what was taking place thousands of feet above them. They were sure that at any second, the fellow will be on ground level. To their surprise, the man arrived safely to the other tower. Shouts of glee were heard from all those below. The man shouted back, “Anyone wants to see me walk backwards?” He then
proceeded to do as he said. And of course, shouting and clapping were once again heard. The man then picked up a machine from the roof and told those below, “Now you’ll all witness me get across this rope holding a few thousand pounds in my arms.” Whether you believe it or not, the fellow made it across to Tower B. “And now,” he bellowed, “Who would like me to carry them across from one tower to another!?” A hushed silence fell on the crowd. Not one person volunteered. “You all saw me carrying something that weighed as much as a few of you. Trust me, that one person I can definitely manage to get to the other side safely.” We all believe that Hashem created the world, and supplies it daily with all its needs. He is also the one Who provides mankind with their necessities. Trust him fully in good times and in bad, for He is the one Who can, and will, ensure that all turns out for the best! After all isn’t He the One Who orchestrates the entire universe?!

Fruit Juice vs. Fruit Is drinking fruit juice the same as eating the whole fruit?
To answer this question we will first look at the health benefits of whole fruit and then see what the problem with fruit juice is.
The benefits of fruit skins:
The edible skins of many nutritious fruits - including apples, apricots, blueberries, grapes, plums, and strawberries - are all sites of important biological activity in the life of the fruit. The skin is one of the places where the fruit interacts with sunlight, and forms a variety of colored pigments that absorb different wavelengths of light. These pigments, including carotenoids and flavonoids, are well researched as nutrients that protect our health and nourishment Unfortunately, when fruits are juiced, we don’t always get to enjoy the fruit’s skin. That is because many juicing processes remove the skin, and do not allow for its full nutrients to get into the juice.
The benefits of the fruit pulp:
In addition to the skin, which is an important source of fiber in most fruits, the pulpy part of the fruit is also a source of fiber (and other nutrients). Orange juice makes a good example of the health difference when you focus on the issue of its pulp. The white pulpy part of the orange is the primary source of its flavonoids. The juicy orangecolored sections of the orange contain most of its vitamin C. In the body, flavonoids and vitamin C often work together, and support health through their interaction. When the pulpy white part of the orange is removed

in the processing of orange juice, the flavonoids in the orange are lost in the process. This loss of flavonoids is one of the many reasons for eating the orange in its whole food form (even if you only end up eating a little bit of the white pulpy part).
Juicing reduces the fiber content:
How much fiber is lost in the conversion from whole fruit to fruit juice? Let’s use apples and apple juice as an example. A cup of apple juice that you can see straight through (pulp removed) contains no measurable amount of fiber. To create this 8-ounce glass of juice, approximately 3-4 apples are needed (depending, of course, on the size and

density of the apples). Each of these 3-4 apples contains about 3.75 grams of dietary fiber, for a total of about 12-15 grams of dietary fiber. Virtually all of these 12-15 grams are lost in the production of clear apple juice! These 12-15 grams of lost fiber, if added back into the juice, would fully double our average daily fiber intake!
The problems with fruit juice:
While fruit juice may still contain some of the original nutrients found in the fruit, it won’t have the skin, the pulp and the fiber. But this is not the most concerning part of drinking fruit juice. The worst part is the high amount of
sugar. Most people will not eat more than one or maybe two fruits at a time, because the amount of fiber and the chewing involved keeps you full. But when you drink the juice, with just one cup, you can consume the amount of three or more fruits and you won’t feel as full as when you eat the fruit. This will give your body a huge surge in blood sugar which can make you gain weight, give you mood swings and all of the other harmful effects of sugar. To summarize it all, when you drink fruit juice, you basically get all of the bad parts- namely the sugar (and lots of it!), but you don’t get much of it beneficial content.

Guacamole Ingredients: 3 avocados; halved, seeded and peeled 1 lime; juiced 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. cayenne 1/2 medium onion; diced 2 Plum tomatoes; diced 1 clove garlic; minced
Preparation: In a large bowl, toss the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice. Drain and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated. Add the salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash with a potato masher. Then, fold in the onions, tomatoes, and garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and serve. Serve with tortilla chips.
