watch cannavibes television now on roku network by: TCB Staff

Roku is an economical and simple way to watch what you want - when you want. Roku works from Apps, much like your smart phone. The other delivery systems for television content delivery work much the same way. We decided to start with a Roku channel simply because it is the largest and most popular.

“No, you cannot have a local cannabis show on FOX network! Marijuana is federally illegal,” said the Fox Network representative. Basically, I was told the same thing at ABC, except they told me it was possible to have a television show featuring CBD products; however, no reference of THC or Oklahoma cannabis could be mentioned. We’ve done television before, so I knew there may be some challenges in creating a cannabis television show, but I wasn’t anticipating a complete shutdown of our plan to air Oklahoma-based cannabis television programming. “How can we provide cannabis television shows to Oklahoma cannabis patients and businesses?” I asked myself this question many times. For the past couple of years, I observed that every television at Best Buy is either a Smart TV, a Roku TV, or an Amazon Fire TV. I don’t

believe it’s possible to purchase a television today that can’t deliver internet broadcasting. I also learned that cannabis programming can be aired over Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV, so, we began researching internet television and learned Roku is the most widely used

Our new channel is called CannaVibes and can be found by doing a search on Roku for CannaVibes. The first thing you will see is the Bee Logo from the front page of this paper. Now that we have a Roku channel, we must provide content to air on the channel. Partnering with David Huff, a program delivery system followed closely by Amazon Fire network cinematographer, was paramount to producing our and Apple TV. initial ‘CannaVibes on ROKU” content. Our first program, “A What is ROKU? Geezer’s Guide to Grass” is now airing as Video on Demand Roku is basically an operating (VOD) at CannaVibes. It system that streams shows continued on page 5 and music to your television.

joe KNows: Let’s do a three way this month by: Joe Smith No pictures this month, just use your imagination. This month, your grows should be getting very close to harvest, and, as promised, I am going to share a suggestion that works for me to increase THC content and terpene profiles: water deprivation. I will tell you right up front - if you do not spend daily time with your plants do not try this. Knowledge of what each plant’s requirements are is absolutely necessary. The other two things we are going to discuss are the color of your ash and flushing. Some heads are going to twist and explode by the time you finish reading, and I assure you I do know what in the hell I am talking about. So, let’s go over water deprivation first. Pretty simple in theory, you force your plant into thinking it is dying. This forces it into a survival mode. In a last frantic effort to get pollinated to reproduce. When the female plants do this, they pack on more trichomes to catch any male pollen that might be floating around. This works the same way when the weather starts getting colder; your buds plump up from the cold for the exact same reason - survival. Side note: the reason our plants change color in cold weather is the same reason tree leaves change color - a breakdown of the sugars and carbohydrates in the plant. It’s pretty but does nothing for the quality.

one has more bud on it then the tall one, go figure. The biomass of each one is almost the same, but the short one takes two gallons a day and the tall one takes seven gallons. So, to make this simple and you do not have to exactly accurate but pretty damn close or you will hurt and possibly kill your plant. Let’s use the example that a plant takes 10 gallons a day. A month away from harvest, during the first week, cut the water to eight gallons a day, you do this slow, the second week cut down to five gallons a day, the third week cut down to 3 gallons and the forth week 3 gallons a day every other day. Then harvest as you normally do. You will see an increase in your bud size and amount of trichomes. If you are lucky, it is cold when you start this and you will not believe the results you get, but you have to know your plants. A one size fits all approach will not work.

If you buy any of your medicine, I am sure you hear “oh it’s great especially for the price, the THC is X percent.” Well, I hate to tell you THC is not all that and a bag of chips. The terpene profile is more important than the THC. When you smoke your medicine, the leftover ash should be white, or very light gray and like dust. Anything else are impurities and other foreign matter. What am I getting at? You do have to have a full panel screen to sell, but there is a ton of stuff that is not tested So why can’t you just cut your water by 1/3 for in Oklahoma. So, you have no idea of when you start the water deprivation? Well, what you are getting. Does your dispensary you can, but will get mixed results. This is know the grower? Where I sell, they do, where knowing your plants comes into play. they have seen my grow, all life stages of For example, I have some Purple Kush this my plants, what food I feed, how I spray year, same seed bank and obviously the week for powdery mildew (mainly milk), same strain, same soil, if fact everything is how I harvest, trim, wash, cure and store. the same except the plants. Keep in mind Where you buy can they honestly tell you Kush strains are indica dominant. One that? If they can’t or won’t, I would take my plant is over eight feet tall and shaped like business elsewhere. When my medicine a Christmas tree, another one is three feet is smoked, there is very little white ash tall and wide, looks like a bush. The shorter left, exactly as it should be. I would put

my flower up against anyone’s for quality, it may not be as pretty since it is grown outdoors but looks are not everything. My brand is Shoboli Farms. What about flushing? It is not needed if you grow right. You read that correctly. If you feed your plants trash, you need to flush all that garbage out so you can try to have a decent product. If you fed the right amount of organic nutrients there is no need for flushing, as your plant absorbs the nutrients and uses them, plants do not stop magically growing the day of harvest, they still need food to live. Many people do what I call ‘overclocking the plant’ to try and force production, and in doing so, the plant is full of chemicals and needs to be flushed. Well good luck trying to get six months or more of chemicals out of your plant in a month not going to happen, but hey you might get a higher THC content. Not worth it in my opinion, grow to the natural genetic limit of the plant. Wonder how many use plant hormones to increase production, just think what that would do to a weakened immune system. By the way, Oklahoma does not test for plant growth hormones. Know your dispensary and make sure they know the grower, most do not have complete knowledge of the grower’s process. Happy growing and I hope you have a great harvest.

What if every aspect of your life plays a role in how you respond to cannabis? We discussed this in previous issues -- there is more to the story of cannabis and our responses to it. Cannabis is not defined by THC levels. Terpenes, CBD, and cannabinoids (among other factors) play a big role in how your endocannabinoid receptors react. Strains with low THC levels can be mind-blowing simply because the terpenes and cannabinoids play well with our personal chemistry. Our body and mind respond to each terpene profile differently, but we can do more to help cannabis help us. Food plays a HUGE role in how we feel. If you reach for junk food every time you partake, you may be diet deficient for vitamins. Let’ fix this.

Some simple ideas to help you healthy-up your diet: 1. Start with what you know you’ll eat. If you hate beets, for instance, don’t eat them. If you love corn or watermelon, eat it. Don’t punish yourself. 2. Have fresh fruits and veggies on-hand and ready to eat. A bowl of watermelon chunks is awesome when you have the munchies. Carrot sticks or pretzels with hummus are really good, and they are much healthier than Doritos with Cheez Whiz. If you are unmotivated to chop, buy pre-cut stuff. 3. Increase the fiber in your diet. If you just scoffed at this, there’s an easy way to

Beyond Brownies: breakfast & healthy snacks by Amy Addams Strawberry Marijuana Muffins

Bake for 30 minutes. Cool slightly before serving. Quick Cannabis-Infused Sweet Peaches and Biscuits

Remove warm biscuits, open and place on a plate, and pour peach mixture on top and sprinkle pecans. Serve warm. Marijuana Blueberry Biscuits

Ingredients: 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced or diced 1/2 cup quick oats 1/4 cup cannabutter 1 cup flour 1 cup milk 1/4 cup sugar 1 large egg

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons Butter Can of your favorite Biscuits 2 drops Vanilla extract 2 whole peaches Handful Brown sugar Handful of Pecans (roasting pecans really make this recipe rock) Pinch of cannabis (ground)

Ingredients: 2 – 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour 2 1/2 cups fresh blueberries 1/2 cup powdered sugar 3/4 – 1 cups milk 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup cannabutter 3 tablespoons of milk/water mix

Form a bowl in the center of dry ingredients and pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl. Stir until batter is mixed but not smooth (batter should still be lumpy). Mix strawberries into the batter.

In a saucepan or cast iron skillet, add butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cannabis and cinnamon. Simmer until liquid then add diced peaches.

Beat cannabutter into the flour and sugar mix until most of the chunks have disappeared. Add blueberries.

Pour the batter into lined muffin tins.

Chop pecans.

Directions: Preheat oven to 390 degrees F for the first step, in preparation of baking. Grab the sugar, salt, oats, flour, and baking powder and toss them all into a large mixing bowl. Stir everything together, set aside. In a different bowl, mix the egg, cannabutter, and milk.

Cook for about 10 minutes.

Add the milk. Mix well until mixture forms a dough, making sure that it’s not too soupy, add more flour if necessary (or more milk if it’s too thick). Mixture

should be like dough, not like muffin mix. Lay out some flour on a flat surface and knead the dough. When the dough has been thoroughly kneaded, grease a cookie sheet. Mold pieces of the dough into small round shapes, 1/2″ thick and 2″ wide. Cook them for 10-20 minutes but keep a close eye on them (biscuit muffins shouldn’t be brown on the top, and watch that they do not get too big). To see if they’ve finished baking, lift one up with a knife and inspect the bottom. If the bottom has turned a golden color, they are done. Glaze treats. Mix powdered sugar with the milk/water. Stir well (should be soupy). Using a cooking brush, cover the cooled biscuits with the glaze once they have cooled off. Doctored Toaster Strudels

When oil is hot and jumpy, add your popcorn kernels and lid the pot. Cook for about a minute. 3. After a minute, start shimmying the pot over the burner to encourage maximum popping. Once you hear the popping slow (generally 4-5 minutes), remove the popcorn from heat.

Directions: Brew the coffee as you would normally. Put the ingredients that you have (you can adjust the amount of hash that you put into the mix to your preference if you’d like the coffee to be stronger or weaker). Put the mixture in to a Turkish coffee pot and put over a low flame until it starts to bubble. As soon as the coffee starts to bubble, remove it from the heat.
