Feeder steers under 600 lbs traded mostly steady to sharply higher. Steers over 600 lbs traded 0.50 to 6.00 lower on a light test. Feeder heifers under 700 lbs traded unevenly steady, while those 700 lbs and above were 5.00 to 7.00 lower on a very light test. Slaughter cows steady on the good high yielding cows with the thin shelly cows a lot lower. Replacement cattle had no comparisons from the previous sale. The next available report will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020. Market Report This week we sold 4,271 head of cattle of all classes in two sales. On Wednesday, September 30, we sold 576 head of Butcher & Feeding Cows, Bulls & Heiferettes. The market for the Regular Sale was steady to $2.00 higher. On Thursday, October 1, we marketed 3,695 head of Stocker & Feeder Cattle. This was our first run of calves off the cow and another strong showing in the yearling division.Yearling steers compared to two weeks ago sold unevenly steady and heifers sold steady to $2.00 lower. Demand was good on calves and aggressive on yearlings.
