Compared to last week: Trade activity and demand were moderate. Feeder steers under 600 pounds traded steady to 13.00 higher, while those over 600 pounds were unevenly steady. Feeder heifers under 600 pounds traded unevenly steady and heifers over 600 pounds traded mostly steady. Slaughter cows traded 6.00 to 7.00 lower and slaughter bulls were steady. Today’s run consisted of mostly young calves with multiple rounds of vaccinations and weaned at least 30 days. The next available report will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Supply included: 85% Feeder Cattle (62% Steers, 38% Heifers); 15% Slaughter Cattle (95% Cows, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 38%.
