David Dorsey My roots run deep in the state of Nebraska. In 1857, John Wesley Dorsey, my great-great-great grandfather, made the journey by wagon from Indiana to what was then Nebraska Territory near Brownville. I have always admired the tenacity of the pioneers who were able to pick up and move to an unknown land and begin a new life. The fear of the unknown must have weighed heavy on those strong individuals, but they forged ahead. I think we all have within us a desire to experience the unknown, to move forward without knowing what the outcome will be. My life has been on this unknown path since 2012. I forged ahead to pursue my love of painting and the pursuit of art as a career. Prior to this I spent my life on the family ranch located in the Sandhills of northern Nebraska. It was a big change to go from raising livestock and putting up hay, to working in the studio, but it has been a wonderful ride so far and it is far from over. Art has always played a huge part in my life. Ever since I was little, drawing and painting have been something that I have always done. In fact I cannot remember a time when I was not intrigued by artists and the work they created. That aspect has not changed; I am still mesmerized by new styles of art that I have not seen before. I will never learn all that I want to in this lifetime, about painting and drawing, and I truly believe this is a good thing. We should never cease to learn, no matter what our age. I am drawn to the land and the individuals that call this vast plains home. I can think of no finer calling than to raise livestock to feed this great nation, and the daily pursuit of being stewards of the land. These people, strong men and women, are truly what intrigue me as an artist. Each face has a story to tell, and their lives are so interwoven with the land that they call home. It is a never-ending tale of beautiful landscapes and hard working people that give me constant inspiration to capture images of the west, both past and present. I feel fortunate to be able to put brush to canvas and freeze a moment in time. Sometimes the simplest things in our daily routines can be the most beautiful. A horse and rider going through a sea of grass or riding through a water hole formed after a heavy rain, are truly the simple and yet magical images that I love to paint. I’m still not sure where this artistic path will end up, but the ending is not the goal, it is the journey itself. I know there are many more images of the west left to paint, more faces with wonderful stories left to tell, and good cowboys and cowgirls that need to be captured on canvas for all the world to see. I am truly lucky to be an artist and look forward to the road ahead and all of those paintings out there just waiting to be painted. As for the unknown, here I come, paint brush in hand! www.daviddorseyart.weebly.com

BONNIE DEVERNIERO, EQUINE PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

T

hanks for joining us at NILE 2020! What a roller-coaster of a year! When I pictured what my first year as the NILE Equine Programs Director might be like, I can guarantee I never thought it would be like this. I am so excited and humbled to be in this position. I’ve had a lifelong passion for horses and now I get to live my dream of having a career with horses. I’m thrilled to be a part of NILE 2020 Version 2.0. This year we get to do things a little differently. Some shows will be virtual only, some shows will be pretty close to normal, and some are new! To tell you a little about myself, I grew up, right here, in Yellowstone County. I graduated from Shepherd High School and attended Northwest College in Powell, WY and Miles Community College in Miles City, MT. I was an avid 4-Her with projects including sewing, dairy goats, market sheep, and, of course, horses. I grew up riding and once I learned how to take the reins I never looked back! I am forever fascinated by the power and grace of each horse that I’ve worked with and so grateful that I was born into a family with horses!

211 N. 30th St. | Billings, MT 59101 | 406.252.0163

I’d like to thank the NILE family of equine producers and exhibitors for welcoming me into their family. The NILE family is amazing! These producers and exhibitors have been bringing top-notch horse flesh to the NILE for decades, to both compete and sell. Every day they bring the NILE’s mission to life by preserving and embracing the western lifestyle. I look forward to meeting the rest of the fam’. Thank you for supporting the NILE and our communities! Don’t be a stranger, stop by and say hi!

The Horse Palace is a busy place, and the Millers have developed a reputation of outstanding community service and a dedication the region.

The Millers say their work is all about the youngster starting out – some younger than others.

In the summer the Millers put on two events a week – every Tuesday is the Summer Sizzler barrel race series, which they produce, and every Thursday night is the Tomorrow’s Rodeo Champions kids’ rodeo. In the summer they host a jackpot market steer and heifer show series. Once a month they offer the horse preview for the Billings Livestock Sale horse sale. They put on three large cutting competitions for the Montana Cutting Horse Association a year. basis, and they also rent out the facilities for weddings or other private events. The Horse Palace occasionally hosts equine celebrities and clinicians, but the most famous was probably Garth Brooks who put on a rodeo camp for underprivileged kids in the Billings area before his concert several years ago, as part of his Teammates for Kids foundation. Teresa says he usually puts on a soccer or other sport camp in the town he visits, but in Billings he opted to do a rodeo camp. “It was incredible to listen to him and watch him with those kids – telling them to appreciate

The barn has a capacity to board close to 50 head of horses, which means feeding, watering and cleaning stalls, although in the summer full-time boarding numbers are light. The Millers also house 150 head of cattle, including roping steers, breakaway cattle and tie-down calves. Bobby, who says he’s a farmer at heart, takes great care of working the arena dirt and they take pride in having some of the best footing in the nation. “We do a lot around here, but mostly, we cater to people, to our clients,” says Bobby.

Teresa runs the concession stand and is the reason her husband says they are known for “the best concession stand food in the country!” Their son, Clayton, and his wife, Valee, work with them on a daily basis. Valee manages the office and Clayton, who is also a horseshoer, helps with the general work with Bobby. The Millers’ daughter, Amanda, is married to Mike Anderson and they live in Beach, N.D., where she is a teacher. They help with the operation whenever they are home.

Riders can drop in any time to use the arena, appointments are not necessary. The cost is $15 per day, but most people stay for only an hour or two. A veterinarian visits the facility once a week to offer services to

But 2020 has been a far cry from a normal year with COVID-19 and regulations and changed economics in the livestock world. This year the decision was made to move the Merit Steer show, the club calf show and sale, and all the horse events to Miller’s Horse Palace. “With the changes this year we’re not able to invite the general public, and the Metra was just way too much for the events we have,” says Bobby. It’s because of this attitude of giving back that the Millers have been recognized as the 2020 Friends of the NILE. “Miller’s Horse Palace has long standing tradition in the Billings Area of being committed to outstanding events in a quality facility dedicated to providing opportunities for equine and livestock enthusiasts,” says Jennifer Boka, executive director of the NILE. countless events over the years and they are continually providing exceptional events. The NILE is fortunate that they are opening up their facility to our exhibitors amid the issues facing us during this trying time.” For the Millers, helping others and supporting kids is a part of everything they do. “Everyone who has a horse needs somewhere to ride, and that’s the reason we’re open – to give the kids a place to ride and help them get started,” says Bobby. The Millers have a pretty substantial list of world-class rodeo competitors who came through their gates as youngsters: tie-down roper Haven Meged, bull riders Jess Lockwood and Parker Breding, and the famed team-roping Tryan brothers, Clay, Travis and Brady. Teresa adds, “Seeing the success that goes through that place – it just makes me HAPPY!” “Helping out kids is our enjoyment in life; that’s what we do,” says Bobby.

and the people who love livestock. They definitely aren’t involved in the NILE for recognition and awards, but their dedication earned them the title of Volunteers of the Year.

TRI-STATE LIVESTOCK NEWS

Tom and Donna have been volunteering their time since 2014. After retiring from the ranch between Roundup and Grass Range and moving to Billings, they decided to use the time on their hands to give back to an organization they believe in. “That was one thing that popped up in my head that we could do, because we were familiar with country living, ranching, and livestock,” Donna said of offering their efforts. “It evolved quickly into both of us being on the equine committee, which meets all year long, and volunteering for the NILE every October. We’ve been gratefully involved since then.” Tom had been attending and participating in the NILE since 1972. He showed exotic bulls and later Hereford bulls, and assisted in and judged a few shows too. “I have a great belief that it was a good asset for both the beef business and ranching and the area to have a show like that in Billings,” Tom said. “The programs within the NILE help the kids with starting their own livestock programs with a Merit Heifer program and the futurities they can take their horses to.” Tom and Donna, who have been married for 51 years, are the ideal volunteers, always willing and in the right place at the right time, said Jennifer Boka, the NILE’s general manager. They also ensure that there are donuts and coffee in the NILE office each morning. “The NILE is so much led and run by our volunteer staff. We have so many great volunteers, but there’s always a few that stand out and give tirelessly, and Tom and Donna are just always there when we ask them to be there,” Boka said. “From daybreak to long into the late night hours, they’re just reliable and consistent and always in the right place at the right time, always phenomenal help and have been for many, many years.”

Their work ethic developed from many years of ranching has played big role in their drive as volunteers. “We start early,” Donna said. “That habit hasn’t quit through decades of ranching. You start early and don’t quit until the work is done each day. That’s just our work ethic.” Volunteering at the NILE hasn’t completely filled the gap in missing the day-to-day activities and interaction with livestock since retiring from ranching, but it helps. In his role at the NILE, Tom typically sorts and manages the cattle behind the scenes, and Donna is in the office managing entries, paperwork, score sheets, and judges’ cards. “Tom has always dealt with the livestock handling, numbering horses, getting them lined up, vet checks and have them work; and I’m more involved in the paperwork, helping the announcer, doing all the timing and keeping track of the rules for each event,” Donna said. “We just have found our niches.”

hosts weanlings, yearlings, and broke horses, but one aspect of it sets it apart from other sales. They extensively screen for soundness in sale horses. “They’re screened on the paperwork for bloodlines, and soundness at the application point, and they’re screened again by a veterinarian prior to the sale,” Tom said. “It’s as close as we can tell, they are a perfect sound horse to go to a ranch or competition. It’s one of the most dependable places to buy good horses anywhere in the state. That’s what we’re striving for, not just for show and sale, we want quality there.” This sort of dedication helps keep the NILE running smoothly and offering the public the best show possible, and while Donna noted there are more NILE volunteers who she feels deserve recognition as the NILE volunteer of the year, she and Tom are just as deserving, according to the committee.

STABILITY

“I don’t know two people that stay hooked longer with very little thanks, never enough thanks, never enough return, they volunteer without complaint,” Boka said. “They always have constructive ideas to make things better and they’re always there when you need them, always at the right place at the right time.” The NILE’s promotion of agriculture, especially for youth, strengthens Tom and Donna’s desire to volunteer, and, luckily, Donna’s philosophy ensures that they will do the work to the best of their abilities.

Trailblazer award: gary & della ruff

30-plus years of Nile involvement

ary and Della Ruff have been involved with the NILE for more than 30 years. Gary spent five years on the board of directors. He’s been involved with the sheep show, mutton bustin’ and the rodeo. And his wife, Della, has been alongside him the whole way, filling in where he needed help, and carrying a lot of the weight. “Without her, it would have been a pretty tough job to do some of those projects,” Gary said.

Allen McCormick, past-president of the NILE, said Gary and Della are strong supporters of the NILE, and picked up where Gary’s parents, Joe and Lillian Ruff, left off. “Gary is an all-around guy and the whole family are phenomenal supporters of the NILE,” McCormick said. “I never knew of anyone who had a bad word to say about Gary and Della.” McCormick said when Gary was in charge of providing the sheep for the mutton bustin’. “Come to find out, he was not a sheep owner. He would go down to the sale barn and personally buy about 15 head of sheep, run them through the mutton bustin’ and

then sell them again. He took the profit or loss and we didn’t know he was doing that. That was kinda neat. He’s the kind of guy who just does what needs to be done and doesn’t want to be in the limelight.” When Gary’s term on the board of directors was up, McCormick said, there was talk of needing to get some younger people involved on the board, and Gary was the first to volunteer his place on the board. “He’s just there to support you, whatever you need to do.” Gary and Della run a cow-calf operation on Gary’s family’s ranch near Custer, Montana. His involvement with the Montana Stockgrowers prompted his involvement with the NILE. “I guess since I was on

the Stockgrowers board they thought I’d be a pretty good NILE board member,” he said. Gary looks forward to the livestock shows at the NILE every year, and says he’s always impressed with the quality. “I’ve been to the Denver Stock Show quite a bit, and the NILE isn’t near as big a show, but it’s just as good a show,” he said. He’s slowing down in his involvement some, but will still do whatever he can to provide a great experience to all the visitors to the NILE. “I think there’s a lot of programs that you could check into. There’s a lot of people involved that do a real good job,” he said.

The herdsman award at the NILE is based somewhat on how the exhibitor’s cattle place, but also considers how they care for and present their cattle while they’re at the show, and sportsmanship– how they treat fellow competitors and visitors to the NILE. It’s an award that doesn’t have age divisions–adults and youth are all in the running for the award. So winning

It was a big surprise. It meant a lot because that was a goal for me, to win it at least once in my show career. To do it now, I was definitely the youngest person who’s ever gotten it. It was a really big honor for me.” “From a parent’s perspective, it’s a really big honor because some of those people travel across the country with their cattle, weekend after weekend,” said Julie. “For a 12-year-old to get it was fairly impressive.” Claire shows in the bred-and-owned and owned Junior Angus Shows, and Roll of Victory Open Angus Show each year, and last year, for the first time, bought a futurity heifer. She also judges livestock with the Shepherd FFA chapter. “I have always wanted to show Angus heifers since I was about three,” Claire says. “I just have always enjoyed it. It’s always been kind of dream of mine. I wait all school year for summer so I can show, and it’s nice that they have the NILE in the fall so I can show during the school year too.”

Claire doesn’t just sit around waiting for the shows to start, though. She’s active in the church, where she sings in the choir, she plays basketball, is involved in the Shepherd FFA and the Hesper Hustlers 4-H club. But when it’s time to start thinking about cattle shows, Claire enjoys every element, from choosing the heifers to halter breaking and fitting them. “It’s fun to see them grow from an itty bitty calf into heifers that will be cows,” she said. Claire has a herd of registered Angus cattle that she started from her show heifers. “All my show heifers go into the herd. We breed them every spring and hope they are bred and eventually bring their calves into the barn (to show).” She’s learning a lot along the way, about not just the showring scene, but about what it takes to grow heifers

Oliver Horses Brings practical experience to the arena STORY BY MARIA TIBBETTS

ill Oliver didn’t learn to ride in an arena. As a green 18-year-old from California, Bill moved to Wyoming because he wanted to be a cowboy. He learned to be a cowboy toting a string of pack horses and mules for the Forest Service. The lessons he learned when horsemanship was literally a life-ordeath situation are lessons he teaches at his clinics.

“We didn’t have round pens and arenas in the mountains. We just had to get the horses and mules going,” Bill says. Later, he studied the techniques made popular by Ray Hunt and Monte Roberts. Combining that with the practical experience he picked up by just figuring out how horses and mules worked, and how to communicate with them, he presents a style that’s both “natural” and effective. “I had some hardcore old forest ranger mentors, and old outfitter mentors. There just were no

excuses. You were going to ship out tomorrow morning with 14 head of mules. You had to figure out how to get the work done. It’s a real hands-on application,” Bill said. All that experience will be available for free to attendees at the five-day clinic at the NILE that’s a little different than most clinics. Bill will start with a group of eigh colts, some that he’s bringing from his own place, and some that are offered by longtime NILE horse sale consignors. All were lightly started in the spring, then turned out to grow, so the clinic will be part refresher, part next steps. Bill will spend the clinic time for five days training the two-year-olds, which will then be sold at the NILE Gold Buckle Horse sale. Bonnie DeVerniero, equine programs director for the NILE, says the colts will have a solid foundation and be riding around nicely by sale day.

46

DeVerniero said the NILE is looking forward to the clinics and hopes to grow it from this idea. “It’s a progressive clinic, so it’s not just the same thing every day. The most benefit will be from attending all five days.” The goal of the clinics is two-fold, DeVerniero said. “There’s the educational standpoint. Bill has dozens of years of experience in the horse industry, putting horses into practical, everyday use. We want people to take some skills home and work with their own horses. We also want to give buyers a way to see the producers. Our hope for this is to give a step up to those sellers who consistently bring yearlings and weanlings to the NILE, so buyers can see what these horses can do.” “We’re excited about partnering with the NILE on this,” Bill said. “I think it’s going to be a pretty neat deal. We’d considered some other venues, that were more of a competition format, but we’re more in it for the horse, not really who can get in the saddle the quickest and win the buckle.”

TRI-STATE LIVESTOCK NEWS

Bill’s wife, Jody, spent many years coordinating trainings for the military, and has put that experience into making Bill’s clinics as valuable as possible for the spectators and participants. “Bill has all the background because he had to do it and go to work,” Jody said. “He’s all about the colt, but we’re also all about the people. We want to carry on a program that helps people have better relationships with their horses.” In the backcountry, with no roads, no phone service and the only way out being horseback or helicopter, Bill and his co-workers figured out that having safe horses was a matter of life or death, Jody said. That focus on safety for both the horse and rider translates to Bill’s arena clinics. “We want to share this with folks. I see dissemination of a lot of information to horse people who are trying to

learn, that’s really not that great,” said Bill. “It gets people going down a path where they learn the technique, but they don’t understand the why or the importance of reading the horse or mule they’re working with. That comes with time and boots on the ground. You get better at reading what the horse needs.” Bill mentors some young people, who are learning the ropes, and who help out at the clinics, and ride the horses back home. “I could not do what we do all by myself,” Bill said. “When Oliver Horses shows up it might be Bill Oliver in the focus, but I want to convey that there are a lot of people helping behind the scenes. “We might have three roundpens going, with colts being saddled, colts being driven, getting desensitized, doing groundwork, packsaddles or hobbles. Our clinics are pretty fast-paced. People are engaged and moving and going. I couldn’t do that without my team of people.”

While Bill may not have all the ribbons and buckles that would follow a life in the arena, he has something more valuable, in his eyes–respect. “Bill has been retired from the Forest Service for 10 years,” Jody said. “As a ranger he wasn’t always in the best light because he was there to make sure people were following the rules. I’ve wandered down the sidewalk during the parade when there’s more than 50,000 people, and all I hear are good things about him. He rode bridle-less in the parade, leading 18 head of stock in a pack string, cracking two stock whips, controlling the speed and rate. He came up really having to prove himself. I’ve never heard anything negative about him. He’s fair, honest and driven to make the relationship with people and horses better because of his experiences.” Monday, Oct. 12 & Tuesday, Oct. 13 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 - Friday, Oct. 16, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. MILLER’S HORSE PALACE

Watching his grandparents raise horses for the family ranch and hearing stories of his great grandfather, how he raced horses down Last Chance Gulch and imported a stallion to Montana in 1910, influenced Ron to eventually build his own horse breeding program. Montana. When he first started raising horses and he was cowboying full time, his appreciation was more for the bigger, Appendix type horse. “We were in big country and I liked the horse that could cover lots of miles and do a lot of work,” he says. “As I got older and wiser, I’ve gone more towards a Two Eyed Jack line of horses, they have size, good disposition and good looks, but I still have a special eye for a little running blood in them. I have a weakness for that.” Ron recently introduced a new stud to the program, Watch Joe Jack Move, son of world champion rope horse Joe Jack Red, to replace his aging stud, Dual Dash, who is a grandson of Dual Pep and is Dash For Cash bred. “I am kind of heavy on Watch Joe Jack mares, I’ve got some speed mares, a Frenchman’s Guy granddaughter, a Dash For Perks granddaughter and a Secretariat granddaughter, so we have a lot of fun with all of those,” Ron says. Although the size of horses has changed some, many things have stayed priorities for the last 51 years, like a horse that can handle a full day’s work, good conformation, disposition and athleticism, and of course, the horse has to look good doing it. “I want a horse that’s good to get along with,” Ron says. “Kind of a ranch horse, rope horse type. horses we’ve raised that are doing well in barrel racing and some of that, but that’s not my goal, I guess.” The slogan on the Burns Ranch Horses website, as well as the side of Ron’s horse trailer says “The Cowboy Kind” and he couldn’t put his goal for raising horses any more simply. “That’s how I was raised and I want a horse that will get out, cover country, do work and be honest,” Ron says, recalling on the wild horses that he used to ride as a young boy, and how fortunate he is now to have far better horses than what was available back then. As such, passing on the opportunity for young people to be around good-minded, well put-together horses has been a passion for Ron and Donna, who have donated a horse just about every year to some group. “I don’t always give a horse away, because I think kids should earn something, but I’ve made them available to 4-H kids for a reasonable amount, then given a futurity deal, if they show that horse then I give them the money back type deal, so the goal is they’ll get that horse for free but they kind of earn it, I guess,” Ron says. In 2021, Ron and Donna are donating a filly to the NILE for the raffle filly drawing, and although Ron says he’s never been much of a showman, he has marketed many horses through the Gold Buckle Select Horse Sale for roughly the last ten years.

TRI-STATE LIVESTOCK NEWS

It has been a few years now since his health has allowed Ron to be horseback, but in his day, he and his aging stud, Dual Dash, made a team in the branding pen.

“I’m just an old cowboy that never got to town very much, but I like to watch horse events,” he says. “I’ve always worked around badger holes and rocks, I guess, I’ve never done much in an arena, but I have had some horses I’ve sold that have participated in the NILE futurity and have done well showing in other disciplines.” One such horse, Joe, was sold as a yearling through the Gold Buckle Select Horse Sale in 2018 to Bree Swanson of Chinook, Montana. “We wanted to get Bree a horse, we ranch, so we wanted her to be able to get a colt and train it herself, for herself, so that she could have kind of a lifetime companion,” says Lori Swanson, Bree’s mother. “This colt has been the perfect fit for her.” Not only is Joe well-bred, trainable and easy to get along with, Lori says that during the futurity in 2019, although Bree hardly took a breath while she was in the arena, the two-year-old colt “calmly carried her through it like a champion.” “These are lifetime memories that she will have her whole life,” Lori says. “And Ron was right there cheering her on and so proud of them, I mean his buttons were just busting because this turned out to

Although Ron hasn’t been able to ride for almost two years due to too many wrecks in his younger days, he enjoys seeing the colts he has raised doing well with their new owners and he even offers a guarantee to any outside mares he breeds or horses he sells as being what he says they are. “I’ve built my program on having quality, but also being fair and honest,” he says.

If someone isn’t happy with the colt their mare produces, he will buy the colt back and re-breed the mare. Likewise, if someone isn’t happy with a horse they buy from him, he will buy it back, something he has only had to do once. “I’m trying to help people get into good horses, I think I’ve had a good opportunity and now I can help people and I want them to be happy,” Ron says.

unique, “live animal scholarship, the merit heifer program provides approximately 25 youth each year the opportunity to show and care for a donated heifer. The heifers are generously provided by ranches across the region. Each program participant owns his or her calf jointly with NILE until the completion of the program, at which time NILE officials will sign off and the participant will take full ownership of the heifer and her offspring. During the program duration, participants are responsible for raising the heifer, arranging for her to be bred, completing the record keeping procedure

The growing success of the merit heifer program hinges on the generosity and support of the ranches that donate a heifer. Since the program started, a multitude of ranches representing registered, purebred, and commercial breeders have donated a heifer.

This cute Blue Roan filly is a barn favorite; cute little ears, soft eyes, and a big personality. She is an October colt, so she is small now, but will mature to 15 HH. She is the watchdog of all the yearlings, sees you coming and starts talking and will meet you at her stall. She is Pitzer bred as close as any that you will find, champion rope horses and using ranch horses all the way through her pedigree. You will have to see her to believe how good she is. She got a ding on her left front cannon bone, it is not an issue but may leave a small bump.

Broke to hi-line and hobble. Will be someone’s nice ranch, hunting, or mountain horse. Would also be nice to breed someday. She’s by Waldos Top Hand who passes on good looks, big butts, and great dispositions. Foundation horse breeding.

This 4YO brown mare stands 15 HH, 1100lbs. Has been broke to ride and is easy to work with. She has been ridden on the ranch and in the mountains. Learning to track a cow and rope. Broke to hi-line and hobble. Loads, ties, and stands to shoe. Out of a Black Weasel daughter with a lot of cow in her pedigree. She is by Waldos Top Hand. Waldos horses have good dispositions, big butts, and good bones. They make good ranch and rope horses while gentle enough to make trail horses. Hair is smooth as silk.

CHARLIE BROWN

-------------------------

Charlie Brown is a 2009 brown and white pony! He is super gentle and broke as can be. We have done everything you can possibly think of on the ranch, for what his size can handle. Charlie is a goer and moves out when traveling. He is not a dead headed pony. We have used Charlie for lead-line at youth rodeos, plus our 6YO has ran barrels and poles on him at a few jackpots this summer. She even has done a few of her trick riding moves on him too. He’d be great for a little kid that is going and wants a pony to ride on the ranch, cause he can keep up with the big horses all day long! Branded, moved cattle, sorted cows, and roped bulls at youth rodeos. He has been there and done that. He is good to trim. Can leave for days or weeks and hop on and go.

Now You Can Get Wilson’s Legendary Quality in Both Punch and Slat Styles!

Traditional punched sidewalls are built in the strong formed-post style of Wilson’s livestock semi trailers. The smooth interior walls, without vertical posts, are gentler on livestock and easier to clean out.

Double-walled slat style walls are constructed using aluminum extruded tubes, which are interlocked and bonded together to form a very strong and durable wall. The trailer has a very smooth interior wall without any vertical posts.

Both trailers are fully riveted – Riveted construction allows the trailer to flex when needed without the worry of cracking welds. Haul with confidence and realize your lowest cost of ownership with Wilson!
