ubai and Abu Dhabi are world famous. However, the UAE comprises seven emirates – and each of them is unique in its beauty. Like Ras Al Khaimah, for example. Just 1,700 square kilometres in size, the little emirate is a great place nonetheless. Its varied nature and the numerous leisure activities available are truly impressive. And if anyone wants to experience the big city, no problem. Distances are not great in the UAE and the famous desert metropolises are soon reached. Shopping is always a hot topic in the emirates, one that we are all too happy to address – but internationally, naturally. We reveal the ultimate shopping spots in London, Dubai and Bangkok. Those that prefer to experience the winter season actively and exclusively should take a look at our winter special. Indulge yourself with select domiciles that will give you an appetite for snow and skiing. And of course you can also indulge in shopping in St. Moritz, Gstaad, Kitzbühel and Lech, too. All that glitters draws in people magically. Jewellery is the best example. Its glittering fascination is irresistible. And when the jewellery is decorated with lavish diamonds the effect is doubled. Because the precious stones also make an ideal investment – as you can learn in this issue. Never mind “a girl’s best friend“, diamonds make everybody happy. Regards Sarah Schmitt & Mark Valentini

So much natural beauty and so many leisure activities combined on just 1,700 square kilometres. The small emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is a big

player as far as variety is concerned. Tourists will find all they could wish for from a nature, beach and adventure holiday here, in the north of the Arabian peninsula. Sea, desert and high mountains delight outdoor fans from throughout the world. Wellness enthusiasts appreciate the select offers of the luxurious hotels and resorts. Ras al Khaimah enchants its visitors in many respects.

R

as Al Khaimah iterally translated, Ras Al Khaimah means “Top of the Tent“. The name of the seventh emirate in the United Arab Emirates describes its unique location: surrounded by three emirates, between the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Gulf. As the name Ras Al Khaimah appears to be unpronounceable to many, the emirate bordering Dubai is often referred to as “RAK“. Thanks to its mountain springs and mild climate, it is the most fertile of the seven emirates and the “breadbasket of the United Arab Emirates“. In addition to cereal, Ras Al Khaimah also supplies Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai and Umm Al-Quwain with vegetables, fruit and dairy produce.

GOOD to know… Ample sun and the mild climate of Ras Al Khaimah create the ideal prerequisites for a holiday. It is advisable to visit the region between October and April, as then the thermometer rises to 28 – 35 C°.In July and August temperatures of over 40 C° are to be expected. The emirate is linked to regional air transport via Ras Al Khaimah Airport. The Emirates Road serves as a connection to the other emirates. The emirate is around 45 minutes from Dubai Airport and 2.5 hours from Abu Dhabi Airport, with both cities served by daily flights from Europe, and flights to the UAE taking around 6 hours. Jet lag is unlikely, in the summertime the time difference is just two hours ahead, in winter three. A passport is required to enter the UAE, with this valid for at least six months after planned departure. With passport control at the airport Europeans receive a free tourist visa with the stamp in the passport. The visa is valid for 30 days, and

can be extended for a further 30 days in return for a fee. Children are required to have their own passport. For the cosmopolitan Emiratis it is natural to respect foreign cultures and religions. Their Moslem belief has no effect on international visitors, who should also treat the country with respect by familiarising themselves with its customs and observing these. Western clothing is not a problem as long as it is not too revealing. Shorts and bikinis belong on the beach or by the hotel pool, with knees and shoulders covered when shopping or sightseeing. Displays of affection amongst couples, such as kissing or cuddling, is not permitted in public. The United Arab Emirates are known for their unusually low crime rates. Ras Al Khaimah is no exception. The emirate is not only a highly varied destination, it is also a very safe one.

INSIDE TIP FOR TRAVELLERS

A TURBULENT HISTORY

Ras Al Khaimah is considered to have the most attractive landscape of the emirates. The charming landscape with snow-white beaches on the 64-kilometre-long coast, soaring sand dunes and 1,900-metrehigh mountains draw increasing numbers of tourists to the attractive emirate. These also ensure that the population increases by five percent annually, because the boom in visitor numbers creates jobs in the region. The population there currently numbers around 300,000. Its diversity makes it one of the fastest-growing tourism regions in the UAE. Soon Ras Al Khaimah will no longer be an inside tip for travellers who appreciate tradition, sporting activity and untouched nature.

Once the home of pirates and pearl fishermen, now a luxury holiday destination. In 1819 Ras Al Khaimah was attacked and occupied by a British naval force. After the conflict had abated the area was known as the “Trucial Coast“. The name remained until independence in 1971, when the United Arab Emirates was formed. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qaisimi, in power since 1948, subsequently led the pearl fishermen to prosperity. Sheikh Saqr remained head of the emirate until 1999. His son, Sheikh Saud, led the country from 2003 as Crown Prince and Emir, introducing significant organisational and economic reforms. He has been the official ruler of the emirate since

2010. A particular focus of the Emir, who studied Economics at the University of Michigan in the US, is the promotion of tourism. One consequence of this was the founding of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) in May 2011, which was supported by a multimillion-dollar investment up to the end of 2013, with the goal of establishing the emirate as a luxury destination for holidaymakers, adventurers and business travellers. And the project has been successful. Tourism is now one of the leading economic sectors. There are already numerous luxury hotels in the emirate and the construction boom continues unabated. www.rasalkhaimahtourism.com

Wellbeing… Holiday and recuperation are inextricably linked to one another. Those

looking to combine relaxation and regeneration will find a true oasis of wellbeing at the Khatt Springs. The natural springs are considered to have healing properties for a wide range of different complaints. Some rheumatic and skin disorders may be eased by the mineral-rich waters. Khatt Springs also offers ayurveda spa treatments with thermal water. Naturally, wellness deluxe is also available in the exclusive hotels of the emirate. All of the luxury domiciles of Ras Al Khaimah offer heavenly relaxing massages and wellness treatments.

Desert adventure… Those in search of an adrenalin kick will find it in Ras Al Khaimah. A high-speed desert safari with a 4x4 vehicle or breathtaking flight across desert, sea and sandy beaches in an ultra light aircraft are more than impressive. And things get even more adventurous: with a visit to a desert camp, glimpsing the lifestyle of the Bedouin. With traditional materials the camp takes holidaymakers back into an age where tents were still made from goat hair.

Over 1.2 million guests visited Ras Al Khaimah in 2013 – and the numbers are increasing steadily.

Coastal dream… Beach, sea and mountains – sportily active holidaymakers will find much to do in Ras Al Khaimah. The 64 kilometre-long coast is a dream: its lagoons make it a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Whether it is swimming, snorkelling, angling, kayaking or water skiing – the range of activities is a broad one. One unforgettable experience is a sailing excursion in this picturesque region. No appetite for maritime activities? You can also play tennis or golf against the backdrop of the spectacular ocean and mountain setting.

Unsurprising, as the small emirate has numerous attractions and sights to discover. The must-sees in Ras Al Khaimah promise exciting and varied experiences in the north

The longest water slide in the world… A highlight, and not just for kids: the longest water slide in the world. This is located in Iceland Water Park, the largest of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. On the over 100,000-square-metre site one wet attraction follows another. Plunging into the depths from artificial waterfalls or splashing with fountains in the 6,000-square-metre pool, the leisure park has something for visitors of every age.

Falcons and camels… Falconry is a key part of the cultural heritage of the UAE. It is no coincidence that the falcon is the heraldic animal of the country. The luxurious desert resort of Banyan Tree Al Wadi offers tourists a breathtaking falcon show. Camel racing is another Arab tradition, and can be watched every Thursday evening and Friday morning in Ras Al Khaimah during the winter season, However, tradition has made concessions to modern technology here: the jockeys spurring on the colourfully-decorated camels are now small robots.

For night owls… There is a surprising amount to do in Ras Al Khaimah after sunset. For example, nocturnal holidaymakers can play a floodlit round of golf on the 18-hole course of the Al Hamra Golf Club. Visitors who have spent the day in the fabulous landscape of the emirate and had no time for shopping can do this just as well in the evening. The four large shopping malls are open daily until 10 or 11pm. However, the shops are also worth a visit during the daytime, as then numerous small stores and regional souks can be explored. The Corniche is an attractive destination, and not just for shopping enthusiasts. The chic boulevard offers wonderful views of the mangroves. By the way, the modern pedestrian promenade can not only be explored on foot, but also by bicycle – including after sunset, of course. After all this activity the numerous gourmet restaurants and bars offer the perfect opportunity to see out the day in style. There is a choice of international cuisine as well as traditional Arab food.

Far more than just a cake. Lovingly handmade, these doughnuts are

a sweet revelation. A luxurious seduction for the palate, sophisticatedly presented and a far cry from run-of-the-mill doughnuts.

L

OVE DOUGHNUTS

“Feed your soul. Delight your heart“, this is the philosophy of Love Doughnuts. And it could not be more appropriate. Following a successful debut in the swish Guardian Towers, September saw a second outlet open its stylish doors at the World Trade Centre Mall. A new, sweet hot spot in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

EXQUISITE TASTE EXPLOSION

SWEET HOT SPOT IN ABU DHABI

Gourmets are no strangers to Love Doughnuts. The first store in Guardian Towers drew in aficionados of sweet treats, including numerous VIPs. And for good reason: the concept of the business is one of excellent enjoyment. Each doughnut is handmade, freshly prepared according to complex recipes that promise an exquisite taste explosion. Only natural, high-quality ingredients are used, in a complex baking process. The result is a premium cake that is gently crisp on the outside and tenderly melting on the inside. And it is precisely this contrast that delights the senses, making it almost a little addictive. “Summer berries with mascarpone“, “caramelised apple with cinnamon“ or “crème brûlée“, the mere names of the flavours are enough to make the sweet-toothed ecstatic. Those looking for the exciting combination of sweet and spicy will find culinary happiness in creations such as “peach with green chillies“, “cheesecake wasabi“ or “green tea with black pepper“. The signature creation of the establishment is a must-try: gelato sandwich. This involves delicious ice-cream being embedded into a hot and incredibly tender doughnut. A hot and cold dream for connoisseurs.

DELICIOUS ICE-CREAM At Love Doughnuts, the delicacies are not limited to exclusive cakes. The handmade ice-cream is no less delicious – and has quickly become the best ice-cream in Abu Dhabi. 12 irresistible flavours leave no wish

unfulfilled, from classic to exciting: “chocolate with chilli“ or “caramel with sea salt“ are as unusual as they are delicious. As with the doughnuts, only select ingredients are used for the ice-cream, with local produce such as camel milk and saffron underscoring the quality and fine flavour of the different ice-cream varieties. What would a toothsome temptation be without a first-class coffee? Here, too, guests at Love Doughnuts are spoiled wonderfully. The different coffee varieties are the result of extensive experimentation with excellent baristas. This has made it possible to achieve a perfect aroma, the right degree of acidity and an unmistakable flavour. Unusual teas, luxurious drinking chocolate and refreshing cold drinks round off the delicious portfolio of Love Doughnuts.

PASSIONATE PATISSIER Visitors to Love Doughnuts can look forward to creative delights in the sweet hot spot of Abu Dhabi. This is thanks to Ibrahim, the proprietor of Love Doughnuts. When he arrived in the UAE over two years ago he was unable to find the tasty doughnuts that he knew from his English homeland anywhere – and thus, his second career was launched. The search for the perfect doughnut recipe proved a challenge, one that he faced in his own particular way: he left his old job and attended the Cordon Bleu cookery school in London, graduating as a patissier. This gave him the tools and the enthusiasm to fulfil his dream. Ibrahim finds his greatest satisfaction in making people happy with his creations, bringing a delighted smile to their faces: “The reaction of a first-time customer to items on our menu is what thrills us: wasabi cheesecake doughnut and olive oil gelato elicit the maximum raised eyebrows. It isn’t about inventing anything new; we’re recreating what already exists. We only try to do it better“. www.lovedoughnuts.com Text: Petra Dietz

Ingredients for 4 people: 3 tsp. of Za’atar (Arabic spice blend), ¼ cup of olive oil, 24 tsp. of lemon juice, 4 finely-chopped garlic cloves, ¼ tsp. of salt, two young roasting chickens (approx. 1 kg each), black pepper to taste, ¼ cup of pomegranate seeds. Preparation: Preheat the oven to 200°C. Stir the ingredients in a bowl without the chicken, until a stiff paste is formed. Rub this into the chicken thoroughly and place in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour. Roast the chickens in the oven for 30 minutes, before lowering the temperature to 180°C and roasting for a further 20-30 minutes. Testing that the chicken is cooked: push a skewer into the thickest part of the meat, if colourless juice runs out, remove from the oven and leave the chicken to stand for 10 minutes, covered with aluminium foil, before serving. t is the smallest five-star hotel in London. Located on the fifth floor of its sister hotel Rubens at the Palace, it covers just one floor. The 41 is more of a private residence, yet a leader when it comes to luxury, unique style and superb personal service. The incomparable location of the delightful boutique hotel is almost peerless: London enthusiasts are delighted when they look out of the window, as the view is a truly majestic one. The 41 is directly opposite The Royal Mews, just a few minutes from Buckingham Palace on foot. Also in the direct vicinity are the Queen’s Gallery, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament with the world famous Big Ben. A more central abode in London could only be the actual palace itself.

I

REFINED ELEGANCE The theme underlying the 30 rooms and suites is “black and white“, and this motto is implemented in a highly stylish manner, with delightful mahogany furniture, wood carving and decor setting refined and elegant accents. Although all of the rooms are eye opening, one guest suite in particular stands out from the rest: the Conservatory Master Suite is the undisputed highlight of the 41. This suite is the Queen of the Night – because it is when dusk falls that its secret is revealed: at the push of a button a glass roof is revealed above the sleeping area, providing a unique view of the starry sky. It is the wealth of charming extras, the stylish details and attentive service, that make this hotel so special. It is therefore no surprise that the little 41 is showered with awards and distinctions, most recently the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2014.

Fashion. . .

Designer fashions, high-tech or jewellery – no other metropolis in the world embodies luxury shopping in quite the way Dubai does. The sophisticated desert city boasts the largest malls in the world, but also traditional souks for that special shopping experience.

Mall of the Emirates… The third-largest

mall in the world, with over 560 shops, nearly everything can be found here – including designer fashion, of course. Prada fans will be delighted with the label’s store, over 1,100 m² in size. Jewellery and watch enthusiasts are spoiled for choice – Bulgari, Chopard, Cartier, Omega and Patek Philippe sparkle alongside numerous other luxury jewellery brands. www.malloftheemirates.com

High-tech fans should definitely pay a visit to the Al Ain Centre, where there are computers, mobile phones and everything that the electronic heart desires. www.alaincentre.com

BurJuman Centre… At the BurJaman

Souks in Deira… The Spice Souk is a real experience, and not just for amateur cooks. Saffron is the ideal choice for a luxurious gift. This spice, one of the most expensive in the world, can be purchased here down to the very gram on request. Buying gold by weight and not by design is commonplace at the Gold Souk, where precious jewellery glitters. A glamorous gift is sure to be found here. Oriental perfumes are world famous for their alluring scent. The Perfume Souk has a rich selection of aromatic oils and essential oils. Those casting an eye around for an elegant pashmina will also be rewarded in the souks in Deira. Tip: a genuine cashmere pashmina is so soft that it can easily be drawn through a small finger ring.

Dubai Mall… With a floor space of 350,000 m², this is the largest shopping mall in the world by sheer area. Fine fashion labels such as Chloé or Oscar de la Renta can be found here, but also a large number of exquisite lingerie stores such as Agent Provocateur, La Perla, Passionata or Victoria’s Secret. This is not the only thing to delight the ladies, the gigantic Level Shoe District is also irresistible, with brands including Christian Louboutin, Bally, Miu Miu and Tods. www.thedubaimall.com

n September a blue, 122.52-carat diamond from the mine operator Petra Diamonds was sold for 27.6 million dollars. A yellow diamond went for the still impressive price of 14.7 million dollars at an auction in May. However, this year’s record was set by the blue diamond “The Winston Blue“. Although it “only“ sold for 23.8 million dollars, this represented nearly 1.8 million dollars for each carat of the exceptional stone. Of course, deals such as these are the preserve of a small, elite clientele. However, they show that diamonds can represent a substantial investment – even if the sums involved do not run into the millions.

I

Diamonds A SPARKLING INVESTMENT

THE FOUR Cs In recent years demand for the radiant gemstones has increased significantly. Not as a decorative luxury accessory, but as a carefully-considered investment. Indestructible and modestly sized, in contrast to gold bars, which require a storage place for their safekeeping, diamonds represent a high level of value in a very small space. A bank deposit box is sufficient for their secure storage – even if it s a shame to hide so much beauty away. The value of a diamond is primarily determined by its weight, the carat. One carat corresponds to 0.2 grams. The current price for one carat – if it is not The Winston Blue – is up to 25,000 dollars. The price is ultimately dependent upon the “four Cs“: Colour, Clarity, Cut and, of course, Carat. By the way, the price of the glittering gems fluctuates considerably less than that of gold or silver. The price of diamonds is currently high, and this is likely to remain the case. This is also due to the fact that no new diamond mines have been developed in recent years, whilst demand remains high.

DIAMOND DEAL

They awaken desire and admiration. Women revere them, cut and set in a premium item of jewellery. But diamonds are not just “a girl’s best friend“. These glittering luxury stones also

Foto: © Piaget

make a superb investment.

Diamonds should be regarded as a longer term investment. In a number of countries tax is incurred with the purchase of the stones, in Germany this amounts to valueadded tax of 19 %, for example. If the possible annual increase is factored in, then, depending on the deal, a return may only be achieved after five to ten years. Coloured diamonds are currently being traded at particularly high prices. Orangecoloured, blue and pink stones are in demand, as deposits of them are so extremely rare. Diamonds should not necessarily be chosen purely according to size, however. If a diamond is especially pure and well-cut, then it may also be a size smaller. One thing to be sure to note: the ethically unobjectionable origin of the stones. Diamonds should only be purchased with the certificate of an internationally-recognised inspection institute.

HIDDEN BEAUTY Unique and rare. Unless it has been created artificially, a diamond has undergone an incredible creative process before it finds

its way into a piece of jewellery or a safe. A diamond is pure cubic, crystallised carbon. Its development into an opulent jewel begins at a depth of 150 to 300 kilometres below the earth, at a pressure of around 60,000 bar and temperatures of approximately 1,800°C, for a period of 70 to 150 million years. Volcanic activity transports the stones from the earth’s mantle to the surface. As rough diamonds they are often unimpressive. Untreated, any possible inclusions and the true quality of a diamond go unrecognised. All of this only becomes apparent after cutting.

MYSTERIOUS TREASURE Many myths surround diamonds. The best example is the legendary blue Hope diamond, which originally came from India. Its owners often came to a bad end. In 1668 Jean Baptiste Tavernie sold the stone to King Louis XIV, who had it cut. Marie Antoinette wore the diamond frequently – and ended up on the scaffold. The diamond, known as “French Blue“, disappeared from sight after the French Revolution, only for the beginning of the 19th century to see the appearance of the Hope diamond, which is assumed to be the missing stone. This is certainly possible, because the Hope diamond, too, had no good karma about it: owner Prince Kanitovski gave the diamond to his lover, later shooting her dead for cheating on him, before taking his own life. The Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid II was another of the many owners of the Hope to be devoid of luck. His wife was murdered, he was forced to flee into exile. The American McLean fatally boarded the Titanic – albeit without the stone. This ended up with Aristotle Onassis and then legendary jeweller Harry Winston, who bequeathed it to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington in 1958. Today the mysterious Hope diamond can be admired here, at no risk and in all of its beauty. Myths should not stop anyone from acquiring diamonds. After all, they make most owners happy – due to the fact that their value increases, or because of their perfection. Their beauty is intransient. Diamonds are forever. Text: Mark Valentini

I

In October 1998 a dream came true for the internationally-acclaimed jewellery designer COLLEEN B. ROSENBLAT: a spectacular showroom with workshop in the Hamburg district of Harvestehude. In the design of the stylish location she was assisted by two renowned artists: Michael Gabellini designed the rooms, George Nakashima the interior. The clarity of the studio is matched by the discreetness of its location. COLLEEN B. ROSENBLAT consciously chose a historic depot near the Alster, far removed from the glamour of the Hamburg Jungfernstieg or Ballindamm. Her unique pieces require a different approach for them to be discovered and understood. This is jewellery for a lifetime. “People that follow trends never find their own style,“ she says, with conviction. “I am a person who sells her philosophy.“ And this is breathtakingly manifested in her studio as the overall concept of three artists. A visit here becomes a personal experience of harmony and style.

In his manufacture near Überlingen on Lake Constance in Germany Alfred Waibel and his son Marco have created an extraordinary whisky: Keyne Eyle. 90-year-old Alfred Waibel is the oldest and most experienced whisky distiller in Germany. His primary aim: creating maximum flavour for his sophisticated spirits. Time is of no consequence to him in this. Father and son have spent years experimenting to find out how the best possible aroma is achieved. Only the most select ingredients, hand-chosen barrels, love of the product and ample amounts of time turn a good whisky into this sumptuous and unique offering. This calmness and tranquillity are also reflected in the name of the whisky: Keyne Eyle, which translates as “no rush“. Interview with

T

revor Studd HOMMAGE President Middle East

Classic shaving is experiencing a Renaissance. What’s behind this?

A

new hot spot for the well-groomed

gentleman: September 2014 saw the opening of the stylish HOMMAGE Atelier in Dubai’s international

Trevor Studd: This is attributed to a number of different factors, including rising barbering standards and greater innovation, better marketing of services, the rise of the ‘metrosexual male, the need for men to look good at work and guys wanting to look dapper in tagged photos on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms. Cool young professionals and style icons no longer use hairdressers, they prefer the trendier, traditional barber shops, where they can have both a haircut and a hot towel shave.

finance centre, in the direct vicinity of sophisticated Marble Walk. After London, Paris, New York, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Frankfurt, HOMMAGE now also sets standards in exclusive male grooming in the innovative desert metropolis. The European company was founded by CEO Tom Wilscam together with the acclaimed industrial designer Wolfgang Joensson. HOMMAGE products and treatments have been enhancing the most luxurious spas in the world for a number of years now. THE FINEST EMIRATES spoke to the HOMMAGE President for the Middle East, Trevor Studd, about the grooming requirements of the modern man.

What are the grooming needs of the modern gentleman – worldwide? Trevor Studd: Geographically men’s grooming needs can change dramatically, for example in Korea it is very normal for a modern man to use eye cream, liner and even foundation, this kind of preening is still very advanced from the average modern man. The average western modern gentlemen needs are based around establishing a simple and effective routine, although men spend more time grooming it still doesn’t mean they enjoy it. For example: Effective cleanser that doesn’t irritate their skin. A shave product selected to match their beard type and skin type is critical, with the wrong product and shaving tool the daily task of shaving can

be a nightmare for some and also the catalysis to very visual skin conditions like razor burn and unsightly ingrown hairs. After shaving it is also critical to select the most appropriate shave balm and / or moisturizer. This is the repairing and protection stage of our greatest asset! You wouldn’t let your Ferrari face the outside climate without taking the proper steps to make it look its best long term. As well as cleansing and conditioning the hair it is just as important to select the correct styling product for your hair type and the look you’re trying to achieve. Men have experimented over the years with so many lotions and potions to achieve selected looks, the best advice I could offer is visit a respectable and fashionable men’s salon, ask them how to achieve various looks. Always make sure you listen to HOW much product to use, this is normally the down fall of any new look that you attempt yourself. Dubai is the ideal destination for a HOMMAGE Atelier, because… Trevor Studd: Male Grooming in Dubai is highly acceptable for both local and westerners. The Arab and Emirati’s have made grooming a part of their culture for centuries, from regular beard trimming right down to weekly manicures and pedicures. The same with Expats that reside in Dubai and the Middle East, a lot have very professional positions

and are comfortable with dedicating time and money to achieving a more healthier and attractive appearance, more so than if they were back in their home countries. HOMMAGE is the global leader in Luxury Mens grooming and it made complete sense to open up our Flagship Atelier in the City of Luxury, Dubai and more so in DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) where both the professional leaders and whos who of the corporate industry spend most of their time. What trends can the well-groomed gentleman look forward to next year? Trevor Studd: Trends move in cycles and the innovation eventually moves into the commercial mainstream, that being said I see the recent bearding trends becoming more adventurous and bespoke (something that has been occurring in the middle east for generations). I also foresee a “Beard Peak” arriving perhaps mid 2015 and the clean shave could be making its way back onto the faces of our fashionable male “role models”. Lets just hope that this does not leave men with a gap in their grooming creativity otherwise we may see some hit an miss attempts of the classics revivals like “The Mullet” and “The Hasslehoff”. MEDICAL COSMETICS …provide efficient options for natural beauty. In the Medical SPA the wheels of time are gently and holistically reversed. Lymphatic ultrasound, depilation, pigment treatment, needling and the treatment of cellulite and skin problems extend far beyond a simple makeup consultation. For example, the revolutionary new Thermage procedure, which uses sophisticated radio frequency technology to slow the ageing process gently and effectively. The method is suitable for the treatment of wrinkles, creases and loss of skin elasticity in the knees, legs, arms and hands, as well as the neck, chin and around the mouth, eyes and forehead. After just one treatment the reforming of collagen brings an improvement, which continues for up to six months. The result is an enviably vibrant appearance.
