History: In October of 1999, Giovanni came over from Naples, Italy with a culinary degree from Naples Ippolito Cavalcanti Culinary School with the intention of gaining American cuisine experience. He realized that he would have a better future here if he opened his own restaurant. In 2004, he compiled all of his savings and took the risk by opening Giovanni’s. It has been a blessing since the first day, he truly enjoys serving dishes from the old country. In January 2017, Giovanni also opened Gio’s Deli. With the support and help of his wife, Julie, his family and loyal staff they have accomplished what Gio’s Deli is today. It is a place where customers can find quality Italian products and homemade Italian dishes from the old country. What is the most popular item on the menu? Some popular items are homemade Italian bread, homemade fresh mozzarella, homemade meatballs, eggplant rollatini and more. They also have a great variety of homemade desserts such as struffoli, cannoli and zeppole just to name a few. What sets your restaurant apart from the competition? They pride themselves on their product selection, quality of food and consistency of service.
