Hey everyone! I’m Victor and I’ll be your President for this service year. I’m actually super excited to see what we’ll be able to achieve as a club this year, but keep in mind that without you all, there is no Key Club, so continue to participate in events! I know that school is SUPER stressful (just look at the board, we’re all juggling so much đ&#x;˜), but I know every one of you is capable of succeeding. We’re all here for you, and Key Clubbers not only support each other when needed, but we always strive to bring the best out of everyone in our community!

30TH & FINAL NEW YORKÂ CENTURY September 8, 2019

This event happened on the perfect day. It was a sunny and beautiful day. Once we got there, we helped unwrap the medals and set up the water and snack station. After that we got to go explore the different tents and steal a couple of snacks. Finally, when bikers began coming to the finish line, we cheered them on. We screamed until we couldn't. It was really fun and great to see people achieve their goals. ABBY BORSHCHENKO

BREAST CANCER WALK OCTOBER 20, 2019
17
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I’VE ATTENDED THE BREAST CANCER WALK AT CONEY ISLAND , AND YET EACH TIME I FEEL MORE INSPIRED THAN THE LAST. SEEING ALL THE FACES OF REAL SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES SUPPORTING SOMEONE THEY’VE LOST, IT WAS A HEART WRENCHING NUDGE TO THE REALITY OF BREAST CANCER. BUT PEOPLE STOOD TOGETHER, AND BY WALKING 4 MILES SURROUNDED BY AMAZING PEOPLE, IT COULDN’T BE ANY CLEARER. YES, BREAST CANCER IS A DISEASE WE SHOULD ALL DESPISE. BUT IT PROVES THAT IN THE WORST OF SITUATIONS, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A COMMUNITY OUT THERE THAT IS WILLING TO HELP AND SUPPORT YOU.

NYSOM HALLOWEEN HAVOC OCTOBER 26, 2019
19
HALLOWEEN HAVOC WAS A REALLY... INTERESTING EXPERIENCE. WHEN I ARRIVED, I WAS TASKED WITH SETTING UP A TENT ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER KEY CLUBBERS FROM OTHER HIGH SCHOOLS. IT TOOK ALL OF US WAY TOO LONG BUT ONCE WE WERE DONE, WE PLAYED ON THE LITTLE BIKES CLOSE TO THE TENT. AFTER, THE ORGANIZERS GAVE ME A FRANKENSTEIN COSTUME AND TOLD ME TO SCARE PEOPLE IN. I SAID WHY NOT AND DECIDED TO GO ALL OUT. THE THING WAS, ONE LADY WALKING BY CURSED ME OUT AND THIS ONE PERSON NEARLY PUNCHED ME AS I TURNED AROUND. IT WAS OVERALL A PRETTY GREAT EVENT. IT WAS NICE SEEING FAMILIES COME IN WITH KIDS IN THEIR COSTUMES. I THINK MY FAVORITE WAS THIS KID WHO DRESSED UP AS NARUTO. AS I WENT OVER TO SCARE HIM, HE DID SOME JUTSUS AND PRETENDED HE DEFEATED ME. I PLAYED ALONG AND GAVE HIM A HIGH-FIVE AS HE ENTERED. IT WAS REALLY COOL!
