2nd Quarter 2019 Recap Welcome to the Pohrer Groups latest report “The Flow.” Over the last 16 years, we have prided ourselves on noticing specific trends within the market to determine the flow of buyers and sellers, pricing and inventory. During the second quarter we saw a slowdown among single family home sales. The majority of homes that sold were either brand new or major remodels. Buyers today have decided that they would rather pay a pretty significant premium for a home they can move right into as opposed to going through with the process of remodeling. On the flipside, certain buyers are still willing to do the work but only if the price is reasonable. Due to the rising cost of remodeling, buyers interested in a home that needs work have been making lower and lower offers in anticipation of significant remodeling costs.
