Reaching out to you HOW REACHING OUT TO YOU IS HELPING US.

You can make a difference Private investors

Reaching out to you should be in my benefit right? Or should it be in yours? Why can't it be in both our benefit or even better yet, in the benefit of society and its smaller communities? During my rehabilitation I noticed how easy it is to feel forgotten, or to forget others. It's so easy to get overwhelmed or preoccupied. So much information is thrown at us and so much is expected from us. For me it was a wake up call on how selfish I lived. If I was doing something community based it was often for my own feel good benefit. I realized that we often wonder how we got somewhere, not realizing we miss the opportunity to create an actual change, or better yet, a lasting impact while we're community building. With this in mind my mission started. Why not create that impact, enjoy and benefit from it? In this edition I will go a bit deeper in how The Recycled Pirate works with several organizations to create a beneficial change.

Ethical Merchandise If there is an alternative, people will make a choice

My journey started with 2nd Life Curaçao, c upcycled souvenirs and gift items, to quickly that not everyone sees the same value in th Meeting Shalini Iyengar from Herbology ope chapter. An ethical designed beard oil that w natural without preservatives or chemicals. the product was refillable. The response fro customers was inspiring. They loved the sce loved the look. And they loved the name "M Blend" which means bush man blend in Pap native language. The most interesting was t on the refill option. That it was locally produ Curaçao was also an added value.

It is clear to me that one man can't change the whole world. But if one person tries to make a difference, some people in that world might follow. By offering an alternative to the mainstream, that can be products or services, we can change something. It always begins small. For me, it's about educating myself and others that we have a choice in what we do and how we do it. If we want a change, not only does it start with ourselves, we also have to enforce others. Many habits are like brand recognition. You know it because you've seen it and you keep repeating it. What if we keep re-educating ourselves? My dream is to create a safe space where we can grow and develop ourselves. Where we can change our minds. Improve our ideas and where I can coach as many as possible with my brand. With products and services, to be an example that we are the alternative to the change we want to see, if we choose to do the work and make the right choices.

We still had to import the ingredients, but th healthier solution for our skin's and wallets gentlemen. That it was helping a single mot business can't be forgotten either. The bear brother now, an aftershave face toner that s classic and instantly awakens the inner mas

Being a facilitator helps Empowering others I truly believe that together we stand stronger. I'm very much a loner in many things that I do, But I understand like no one else that alone you don't achieve nearly as much as together. Therefore, I came out of hiding five years ago when Alex Rosaria, a local politician called on me to be an ambassador for our Paralympics community and to become a commissioner for Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Korsou (FDDK), our national sport institute. This was quite the change from living in my yard and creating recycled art. However, it was such an important experience, for that's where I started to see every person as a human being. The CEO's with who I was sitting at the table were mere humans who made mistakes as well, and they needed help from someone with personal experience. I have worked with over a dozen schools and NGOs since, with now the most important one to me personally, the SGR-Group. The SGR-Group is the foundation that runs the handicap care and rehabilitation center on the island. It's the foundation that I left in a wheelchair in 2012 to return seven years later in the supervisory board. My story, my experience, isn't just my own, but it is of all the doctors, therapists and organizations that helped me to be where I am today. I am not alone here. You see The Recycled Pirate | Life Awareness & Innovations, but you are supporting a network of NGOs who stand for social economic development, human and animal rights and most important, together we advocate inclusivity. With Fundashon Alton Paas, I organized inspiring workshops. With Innovation ร we create digital conferences to give local role models a platform to shine. For Curaรงao Animal Rescue Foundation (CARF) my project 2nd Life Curaรงao created money boxes of old cans to collect donations for street dogs. By reaching out to you, I can reach out to others. As The Recycled Pirate I am a facilitator, a coach and a creator. I am a bridge builder to help organizations and projects come together, so we can all benefit from it. Why? Because of a very selfish reason. A better world! A better world means a better place for me to live in. Isn't that what we all want? I aim to be the change I would like to see in this world and I aim to be the support I wish I had myself growing up. Thanks to you, as a reader, you give me that voice. Thanks to you as a Patron or Private Backer you give me the strength to hold on. Thanks to you, I feel inspired to do what I do. But with that being said...
