nyone who has children will be familiar with the exhilarating rollercoaster ride that comes part and parcel with procreation. If we fall into the category of “fit for parenting”, we busy ourselves during a great portion of our time on earth tending to the needs of our offspring in every way possible. And hopefully, we guide them to maturity without transforming them into adults with an unrealistic sense of entitlement – that’s usually the plan. Now, between birth and the evolution of a balanced contributing member of society, there are a great many joyous occasions and, of course, the equally numerous trials and tribulations. During some of the less savoury moments of child rearing, parents tend to remind children of their parenting burdens in an attempt to solicit respect and above all, clarify the insurmountable debt they have accumulated both emotionally and fiscally. I’m sure we have all used the infamous “YOU OWE ME” rhetoric with our kids. Contrary to this common belief of children owing their parents, the reality is surprisingly tough to swallow. Children never ask to be born and as such, it is one of the most selfish activities we adults engage in. We bear children to satisfy our own desires, not the desires of any single child that has ever been brought into this world. Having said this, it does not excuse a child’s lack of respect or gratitude, but it should place into perspective what the responsibilities of both parents and children include. The ongoing relationship and bond between parents and children is and should always be one of mutual benefit and can be best described using the following personal experience that I draw upon to remind me of the philosophy behind successful parent/ child connections: Many years ago, a dear friend declared shortly after the birth of my first son, “you have come together with your wife and your unconditional love manifested itself in the form of this beautiful child. Both of you have created a unique and wonderful human being”. I looked at him and responded, In the years ahead, it is my sincere wish that through our continued unconditional love of this child, I will look my son in the eyes and exclaim with gratitude, “my boy, it is your very existence and love that has helped create, nurture and embody the Farid Nouisser fulfillment of two wonderful parents!” Managing Director And the journey continues…

EMIRATI JIU JITSU FIGHTER WINS GOLD JUST 24 HOURS AFTER BROTHER IS KILLED IN YEMEN Omar Al Hosani pays tribute to brother Abdullah
An Emirati jiu jitsu fighter battled through grief to win a gold medal at the President’s Cup Round, just a day after hearing of the death of his older brother Abdullah. Omar Al Hosani, 16, won the blue belt 81-kilo weight final at Al Jazira Club’s indoor sports complex on Saturday. The body of Abdullah Al Hosani arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday and he was later laid to rest in Bani Yas Graveyard, lowered into the grave by his father and brothers. The UAE Armed Forces did not release details of his death except to say his was on duty as part of Operation Restoring Hope, the Saudiled Arab Coalition effort to restore the government of Yemen to power. Omar was to travel with his club team Al Jazira to Brazil for the Grand Slam Rio from Friday to Sunday but has decided to pull out from the 8

competition and instead be with the bereaved members of his family. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited the family home on Saturday, bringing feelings of comfort and pride to the family members, they said. “During our last telephone conversation, just a few days before my brother’s death, I promised him I will win the gold. The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi Celebrates Flag Day at Louvre Abu Dhabi
T
he Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi held an official celebration to mark Flag Day in the grounds of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, just days before its highly anticipated opening. This national occasion, usually held on 3 November each year, marks the anniversary of the accession of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President and leader of the nation. The ceremony was attended by HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman, and HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director General of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi as well as directors and employees of the Department along with staff from the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC). “In commemorating the UAE flag, we pay respect and pledge our loyalty to the nation while honouring all those who serve, protect and advance the country. Our national flag is a great source of pride and represents the Emirati people, its leadership and our residents on the world stage. The importance of this celebration lives in the hearts of all in our emirate, as each and every member of our society has witnessed the monumental achievements of our leaders 10

and their efforts to illuminate the way for future generations,” said Al Mubarak. “Standing here in front of Louvre Abu Dhabi, just ahead of one of the most important cultural events of our generation, we marvel at the great strides our nation has made. The Trucial Scouts:
Life and Times Exhibition Opens at Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Armed Forces, the exhibition explores the social and humanitarian work of the Nation’s Trucial Scouts he Trucial Scouts: Life and Times exhibition was recently inaugurated at Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain. The exhibition celebrates the lesser-known humanitarian work of the brigade in the 1950s and 1960s, and the active role that they played in UAE history and heritage. Trucial Scouts: Life and Times is organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi in cooperation with the G. H. Q. Armed Forces and the Museum & Military History Center, and will be open to the public until 28 April 2018. Commenting on the opening of the exhibition, HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director General of Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, said: “This exhibition reflects the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi’s commitment to the preservation of the tangible and intangible heritage of the UAE. By showcasing the sacrifices made by the Trucial Scouts we

are ensuring that this legacy is passed on to future generations. The importance of this exhibition lies in the contribution it makes to our national history, documenting events and practices, not only through the exhibits but also through the accompanying public programme and workshops that will shed light on the work of the Trucial Scouts and this important fortified structure.” Ghobash added: “The exhibition is a tribute to the members of the armed forces whose dedication to the security of the country, which included the transition to a unified state, included protecting our borders, and undertaking training and combat exercises in difficult terrain. The Trucial Scouts were also pivotal in their social role. They provided humanitarian aid, maintained regional alliances, prevented natural disasters, and instilled the values of peace in defense of our land, our values, and in protection of the Gulf. "
"It is important for current and future generations that we document and celebrate the history of our armed forces at all levels, but it is also important that we pay tribute to their efforts and achievements for their humanitarian work," said Colonel Dr. Saeed Hamad Saeed Al Kalbani, Director of the Museum & Military History Center. “The exhibition charts the Trucial Scout’s key task of protection and defense, despite a difficult terrain, living conditions and modest equipment. It also highlights the contribution made by the first generation of armed forces to the field of social and cultural services such as medical aid, water distribution and the establishment of military bands. The exhibition sheds light on the equipment and simple tools that the UAE Armed Forces once relied upon, but it also highlights the dedication, determination, and great strength needed for the role. The location of the exhibition in Al Jahili Fort is significant as it will give insight into the rich history of the structure, as well as that of the city of Al Ain since the construction of Al Jahili Fort in 1898." The Trucial Scouts is the nucleus from which the UAE Armed Forces was developed. Telling the story and history of Al Ain, or as it was known in the past, Al Buraimi Oasis or Al Buraimi Region, the exhibition will highlight the formation of Al Jahili Fort by order of Zayed the First in 1898, when it was initially built as a summer residence for the ruling family and later became the seat of government in the Al Ain region.
The fort then became home to the Trucial Scouts brigade in 1955, whereupon they introduced a number of new changes to adapt it for military use, all of which are preserved to this day. Today, Al Jahili Fort stands proud as a historic monument and symbol of the UAE. The exhibition opened on November 1st at Al Jahili Fort with a talk entitled The Trucial Scouts: Recollections, featuring retired Major General Sheikh Faisal bin Sultan bin Salem Al Qassimi, Major General Abdullah Ali Al Kaabi, and Lieutenant Colonel Tim Courtney who introduced the audience to the history of the Trucial Scouts, and their recollections of that time. On 13 December, the series of talks will continue with Memoirs of a Soldier featuring David Nield’s memoirs in the Trucial Scouts and will include a book signing session for his book “A Soldier in Arabia”. A programme of engaging public workshops inspired by the themes of the exhibition will commence today with a Sand Painting & Mixed Media workshop where participants can learn how to paint a portrait of their choice using sand and mixed media. There will also be a Patches workshop inspired by the Trucial Scouts officers’ patch. The educational workshops are open to the public and free of charge. Traditional Handicrafts Festival Celebrating Emirati Heritage Opens in Al Ain Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, the festival explores the traditions of local handicrafts trade through craftsmanship, music and dance performances at Souq Al Qattara

he fourth edition of the Traditional Handicrafts Festival, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Al Ain Region, was officially opened yesterday by Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director General of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi in the presence of several senior officials. The festival, which celebrates Emirati heritage, will run until 18th November 2017 at Souq Al Qattara in Al Ain Region. HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director General of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, said: "The traditional handicraft industries represent the productive nature of life in the Emirati

community. Here, the art of craftsmanship is central to our traditional industries. The launch of this festival reflects the aim of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi to preserve and promote these trades so that future generations can experience the innovation and creativity of our ancestors. In addition, the festival reflects the Emirates’ Cultural Heritage Law issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which aims to protect, preserve, promote and maintain the cultural heritage of the Emirate. “By holding the Traditional Handicrafts Festival we aim to highlight the importance of the survival of traditional crafts and industries. It is vital that we do not allow the expertise in these industries to deteriorate and become lost for future generations. These industries and their skillful ingenuity and traditional values, they really are at the heart of the nation." Aiming to further expand the public’s knowledge of traditional Emirati handicrafts and the value of preserving
them, the festival also features a traditional market (Souq) offering numerous Emirati products including traditional clothing, perfumes, incense, aromatic spices and herbs, traditional gold jewellery, henna, sweets and Emirati cuisine. The souq is an important cultural site as it was founded by the late Sheikh Shakhbout bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the 1950s on a palm treelined road between Qattara and Al-Jaimi. Establishing the traditional souq is a part of the Department of Culture and Tourism’s plan to support local family projects and market their products, which are uniquely crafted by Emiratis to a high standard and are offered at competitive prices. The traditional performance arts activities at the festival will include Al Ayyala and Al Taghrooda, which are inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, in addition to Al Yola, Al Razfa, Al-‘Azi, Al Rababa, and Al Shallah. The festival features a wide selection of traditional craftsmanship presentations including: Al Khos, Al Laikh, Al Talli, Al Qaraqir, Al Fakhaar (pottery), Al Ghazl (spinning), and Al Sadu, which is also on
UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. These crafts demonstrate the intricate creative skills of experts and highlight the importance of promoting Emirati products which reflect the UAE’s artistic heritage. Through specialised workshops, visitors to the festival will also gain insight into traditional handicrafts along with the raw materials used to make them, the machinery that was used to convert them into final products and the various production stages and methods of promotion. The workshops also cover falconry and artisan performances, drawing, painting and graphic art. Running until November 18th, the Traditional Handicrafts Festival is open daily from 8am to 1pm and 4pm to 10pm and will include falconry displays, craftsmen presentations, student tours and art workshops, and a variety of educational activities and cultural programmes. Highlights of loans from the region include a prehistoric stone tool dating back to 350,000 BCE, a milestone indicating the distance from Mecca in Kufic inscriptions, a funerary stele from Mecca dating back to 700–900 CE (100–300 AH) from the Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage, a collection of over 400 silver Dirhams Coins from the Abbasid Caliphate of Iraq, the Samanid Dynasty and the Saffarid Dynasty discovered in Sidamah (al-Waqba) in 2005 CE (1425 AH) from the National Museum – Sultanate of Oman, and an 8000-year-old two-headed figure from Jordan’s Department of Antiquities called Ain Ghazal Statue. audi Arabia has officially recognised a humanoid robot as a citizen, marking the first time in history that an AI device has been awarded such status. Sophia, an intelligent humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics, announced the citizenship herself during a panel discussion at the Future Investment Initiative conference in Saudi Arabia. "I am very honoured and proud of this unique distinction. This is historical to be the first robot in the world to be recognized with a citizenship," she said. Specific details of Sophia's citizenship were not discussed. It is unclear whether she will receive the same rights as human citizens, or if Saudi Arabia will develop a specific system devoted to robots. The system could work in a similar way to the "personhood" status proposed by European Parliament earlier this year, which would see robots with AI given rights and responsibilities. She has also featured on the cover of fashion magazine Elle Brazil. Many in the design industry have already expressed concerns about the way humans and robots will live together. Designer Madeline Gannon suggested that the rapid growth of robotics in global manufacturing could place people's livelihoods at risk, and called for designers and architects to play a role in shaping how the technology is used. "Robotic automation, despite its benefits, is arriving at a great human cost," Gannon said. "What should be clear by now is that the robots are here to stay. So, rather than continue down the path of engineering our own obsolescence, now is the time to rethink how humans and robots will coexist on this planet." mirates Environmental Group (EEG) has once again rallied the nation for its 21st cycle of Can Collection Drive. The drive brought together more than 200 entities from all the Emirates to participate in the event. The combined effort of various hotels, families, academic institutions and corporations reeled in 5537 kg of Aluminium Cans for recycling on 28th October 2017. The dedication of the people living in UAE and their conscience to protect the environment reflected through this campaign. Till date this year, EEG has managed to collect 17,661 kg of Aluminium cans for recycling which consists of 63 % of the set target of 28000 kg. The collection of the said amount resulted in the mitigation of 265 MTCO2E, saving of 134 m3 of landfill space and saving of 4019 million BTU of energy. Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of Emirates Environmental Group greatly appreciated the fact that over the last 21 years, the Can Collection Campaign since its inception in 1997, has seen a tremendous growth and participation from the community. Mental Health First Aid on the
Frontlines of the Rohingya Crisis MANY REFUGEES FLEEING MYANMAR EXPERIENCE UNIMAGINABLE HORRORS.
When the packed fishing boat broke up in the storm, Nurus Salam was tossed into the sea holding his only son. He held him as tight as he could but waves loosened his grip. Suddenly two-year-old Abdul was gone. “I keep hearing him crying out ‘papa, papa’ when I shut my eyes,” he whispers. Nurus, 22, is among 27 survivors of a shipwreck on September 26 off the coast of Bangladesh that killed at least 23 people. Scores are still missing. N urus, who also lost his wife, Sanjida, 18, in the wreck, is speaking at a support session in a schoolroom at this refugee c amp, led by a psychologist with UNHCR, the UN Refugee A gency. Twenty of the survivors gather in the room at the P eacock Primary School, which doubles as their temporary accommodation. S itting cross-legged on the floor, Rashida Begum, 23, tells a t herapist, Mahmuda, how her seven-month-old daughter slipped from her grasp in the pounding surf. This is mental-health first aid on the frontlines of the Rohingya crisis, a man-made disaster which has caused suffering on an unimaginable scale.

Sixteen-year-old Abder Rashid explains that his father was shot dead in Myanmar. His mother drowned when the boat broke u p off the beach, and – as the eldest of four brothers who survived – he is the new head of the family. “Now I have to nurture these children. There is no-one else,” he tells Mahmuda in a gentle voice. “I feel the burden when I try to sleep.” A n educational psychologist and counselor with five years’ t raining under her belt, Mahmuda has also studied as a p sychotherapist with special training in post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. She is the only psychologist that UNHCR has at the two official government-run refugee camps in Bangladesh – Kutupalong and Nayapara – and in the vast pop-up cities of bamboo and p lastic shacks beyond that house hundreds of thousands of people. There are five other psychologists working with partner organizations, but no psychiatrists. S ince the boat wreck five days earlier, she has run a group session with all 27 survivors, and one-on-one therapy with 14 o f the men, women and children who made it to the beach alive.
They have seen slaughter, shooting, torture, rape.
Tragically, in ongoing violence that has uprooted more than half a million people i n unthinkable circumstances, their suffering is just the tip of the iceberg. “All the refugees have gone through many t raumatic experiences,” Mahmuda says. “They have walked for three or four days, or they have come by boat … they have seen slaughter, shooting, torture, rape … they have seen everything.” Speaking in a soft, calm, assured voice, she begins the second group session for the wreck survivors with a clear message of reassurance: “You are alive,” she tells them. “You are safe. You are not alone. We are with you.” They listen intently. Mental health studies show that refugees a re surprisingly resilient. Most react to displacement and losses with acute stress and grief reactions. A smaller proportion – usually no more than one in five – present mild or moderate forms of mental health p roblems, including moderate PTSD. A l esser number suffer serious disorders such as bipolar disorder or psychosis. M ahmuda has extremely limited r esources, not least, time. The nearest psychiatrist is in Dhaka and she is able to offer only the most basic referral to doctors at the camp who have had a crash-course in mental health. She has limited options to refer some to other health and social
care networks in the camps. A stonishingly, given the agony that the b oat wreck survivors are living, and the bare-bones resources that Mahmuda has at her disposal, there are small signs that some may be finding a way forward. M ahmuda reassures those that were rescued that they are now safe and must find the strength to carry on. Remarkably, Rashida is starting to accept the loss of her baby. “Maybe it is our fate,” she tells Mahmuda. “ When we were in Myanmar, my child c ould have been killed by the army, or s laughtered by somebody else. I am giving myself that consolation. I have lost her, but I have to survive.” A side from the loss of his parents, Abder Rashid says he is daunted by the r esponsibility to care for his brothers, aged eight, nine and 12. He listens avidly as Mahmuda gives him clear information about the support available to him. She explains that there is a child-friendly space at the camp where his brothers can draw, throw a ball, make toys and get a little bit of their childhood back. She will also look for additional support for him, among other partners at the camp. As for Mahmuda, dealing with the mental anguish on a simply unimaginable scale,
s he falls back on her training and goes to work. She wonders what toll it is taking on her and whether her ability to function m eans that she is losing her sense of empathy. “ After I get home, I do some deep breathing and some relaxation exercises t o release myself – after hearing these s tories, it is very hard to be calm and quiet,” she says. Asked what she needs to help her client g roup that has grown 15-fold in little o ver a month, she is clear. At least one p sychiatrist, two child psychologists, a nd training for the medical staff at the c amps so that they can provide at least basic mental health care for the Rohingya refugees. “ These people have the right to live i n dignity with sound mental health, b ut we’re very limited in our capacity, s o it is not possible to cover this large population.” “ We are trying our best for them,” she s ays, with the preternatural calm and g race that almost certainly reassures t hose seeking help in this still unfolding catastrophe. “If there is anyone who can e xtend to us a helping hand we would welcome it.” Your support is urgently needed to help refugees in Bangladesh. Our family has a one year old male cat called “Franky�. We are considering another cat as company for him. What do we do? Getting any pet is an exciting prospect. Introducing another can be simple, but also overwhelming. It should be done gradually and with patience. The first important thing to consider is, what type of cat would be best: an adult, a juvenile, a kitten, male, female, playful or calm. In every case, making sure they are sterilised if old enough to prevent pregnancy and eliminate hormonal behaviour. Before bringing your new cat home, prepare a room with a little tray, food, water and a comfy place for it to sleep or hide. You are doing this to create a physical barrier between your existing cat and the newcomer giving both cats a chance to get familiar with each others smells and sounds. Sometimes hissing and spitting can occur. Using a large wire crate is a good option provided it is big enough and sheltered with a blanket to give the cat inside a feeling of safety. Swapping the cats after some time can also help. Eventually the cats should settle. At this point, it should be ok to open the room door or crate and let the new cat explore. Always keep an eye on their behaviour. If you feel that it is too soon or there are too many threatening gestures, go back a step and try again. Later, If a flight should occur, never put yourself between the cats as you could get seriously hurt. Instead, use something to separate them. The process could take a few short hours, a couple of days or a week or two depending on the cats. In addition to the process, there are calming products that can sometimes be used as an aid, such as Pet Remedy and Feliway. We stock both products. Not all cats like the company of other cats and sometimes having only one that you can enjoy is best. Remember, patience, time and safety are key. obots may outnumber humans in a new pioneering city billed by Saudi Arabia as "a new blueprint for sustainable life", which would be entirely powered by renewable energy, and served by driverless vehicles and vertical farms.
The city called Neom is to span an area of 26,500 square kilometres, stretching across the borders of northwest Saudi Arabia into Jordan and Egypt. It is designed to operate as an independent economic trade zone with its own laws, and is to become the first private business zone to span three countries. Saudi Arabia will pump $500 billion (ÂŁ382 billion) from its sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, into nine key investment sectors in the city: energy and water, mobility, biotech, food, technological and digital sciences, advanced manufacturing, media, and entertainment. A website dedicated to the Neom concept states the fields will attract "high-caliber human resources" and that mundane or repetitive tasks will be carried out by robots. "Repetitive and arduous tasks will be fully automated and handled by robots, which may exceed the population, likely making the Neom's GDP per capita the highest in the world," it reads. "All these elements will put Neom at the world's forefront in terms of efficiency, which will make it the best destination in the world to live in."

The plans are part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to see the country become an investment hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa.
"The focus on these sectors will stimulate economic growth and diversification by nurturing international innovation and manufacturing, to drive local industry, job creation, and GDP growth in the kingdom," said His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chair of the Public Investment Fund. The news for the new sustainable city comes as details of the country's Zaha Hadid Architectsdesigned King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Riyadh are unveiled. Plans to make use of the waterfront will include a marina surrounded by sports, performance and art venues, as well as shops and restaurants, and the creation of a waterpark with a wave machine for training the next generation of olympians. An image of Singapore's Gardens by the Bay is included in a promotional video for the project, giving a suggestion of what Neom may look like. The first phase of construction is expected to complete by 2025, but details of what that will entail have yet to be released. By 2030, the city is expected to have received $100 billion (£76 billion) in investment from the Public Investment Fund.

24نوفمرب2017 ، 06:00م أكادميية العني يف إطار مهرجان العني للموسيقى ،ستقوم مجموعة مختارة من أبرز طالب املوسيقى يف مدارس العني بتقديم أفضل معزوفاتهم يف جو حميمي محاطني باألهل و األصدقاء. يف السنة املاضية اقيمت هذه الفعالية يف مركز القطارة للفنون و القت نجاحاَ مميزا َ و مشاركة واسعة من املدارس يف العني. هذه السنة نتوقع مشاركة العديد من املدارس أيضاَ: • أكادميية العني • مدرسة العني الناطقة باللغة اإلنجليزية • كلية برايتون يف مدينة العني
فعاليات واحة العين
17نوفمرب 2017 ،إىل 31مارس2018 ، واحة العني تستضيف واحة العني ،املدرجة عىل قامئة الرتاث اإلنساين لليونسكو ،مجموعة متنوعة من الربامج املميزة ،بد ًء من 17نوفمرب وتستمر حتي 31مارس . 2018 تتضمن جوالت بسيارات الباجي حول الواحة ،وفعاليات "عطلة نهاية األسبوع يف الواحة" حيث ميكن للعائالت مشاهدة العروض التقليدية ،ومتابعة األفالم الشعبية الثقافية وعروض من عقدي الثامنينيات والتسعينيات، وكذلك االستمتاع بتذوق أكالت من عربات األطعمة، وعروض الطبخ املبارشة ،وركوب الخيل ،وغريها من األنشطة .كام يشهد الربنامج عودة فعالية "مواسم الواحة" ،التي تم تصميمها خصيصاً الختبار االحتفاالت التي ترافق موسمي الزرع والحصاد.

والجمال حاضنة التاريخ َ مل يختلف اثنني أبدا عىل جامل اسبانيا ذلك البلد األورويب الذي يحتضن أجمل املناظر الطبيعية كالجبال واألنهار والوديان والشواطئ ،وأجمل املعامل األثرية املتنوعة واملذهلة التي متتد عىل طول البالد ،حيث تستقطب اسبانيا ماليني السياح سنوياً، وسنستعرض لكم يف هذا املقال بعضاً من أهم األماكن السياحية التي تستحق الزيارة فعال يف اسبانيا ميدان بوريتا ديل سول تستطيع االنطالق من هذا امليدان اىل أي مكان يف العاصمة مدريد ،حيث يتفرع من هذا امليدان الواسع عرشة طرق رئيسية منها شارع الكال الذي يوصلك اىل شامل رشق املدينة. واىل جانب ميدان بوريتا ديل سول تجد أيضاً ميدان بالزا مايور الشهري وهو يعنى الساحة الكبرية .يعد من أهم ميادين مدريد حيث تقام فيه االحتفاالت الرسمية للبلد اليوم ،بعد ان كان ساحة ملصارعة الثريان ومقرا ً إلمتام أحكام اإلعدام علناً إبان حكم امللك فيليب الثالث ملك إسبانيا يف القرن السابع عرش الذي يتوسط متثاله امليدان .يحيط بهذا امليدان أعداد كبرية من املنازل ما يقارب 136منزالً ،باإلضافة اىل بعض املباين الدينية القدمية ،ولو رغبت يف ان يرسمك أحد فناين املدينة ،فستجدهم منترشين يف امليدان. ساحةكاتالونيا هي أشهر الساحات يف برشلونة ،وواحدة من أجمل الساحات يف وسط املدينة ،تضم ساحة كاتلونيا العديد من املقاهي والفنادق وأماكن التسوق ،فضالً عن الكثري من املحالت الفخمة ،ويوجد بالساحة العديد من التامثيل التي تزين الجدران ،باإلضافة إىل تصاميم الساحة الجذابة .حيث تعترب موطناً للجامل و التنوع ،اذ تضم العديد من املسارح و املقاهي و الفنادق و املاركات ،كل هذه املميزات جعلت من الساحة رمزا ً لربشلونة و إحدى أهم معامل السياحة يف اسبانيا . املتحف الوطني للفنون الكاتالونية من أجمل املتاحف التي توجد يف مدينة برشلونة ،وهو من أكرب املتاحف املميزة والرائعة للفنون ،وهو متحف مشهور جدا ً يف اسبانيا. يضم املتحف الوطني الكتالوين مجموعة مميزة من اللوحات و أعامل النحت الخاصة بالفن الروماين و الفن الحديث ،فضالً عن الكثري من اللوحات الجذابة و املميز ،فهو يعرض أجمل اللوحات البارزة باإلضافة إىل رسوماتها الرومانية . تقوم إدارة املتحف الوطني للفنون الكاتالونية بفتح أبواب املتحف ويبدأ استقبال الزائرين من الثالثاء إىل السبت ،وللوصول إىل املتحف ،ميكنكم التوجه اليه من خالل ركوب املرتو خط 1إلـ 3إىل بعدها ميكنكم الوصول إىل املتحف بسهولة. الدخول إىل املتحف مدفوع ،وتذكرة الدخول تبلغ من 11إىل 13يورو. بارك جيل واحدة من اهم معامل برشلونة السياحية املميزة واملشهورة .املكان عبارة عن مجمع من أجمل األماكن الرائعة التي تتميز بعنارصها الجذابة و املدهشة ،فهي تحتوي عىل العديد من األماكن املخصصة للرتفيه . يوجد يف بارك جيل اسبانيا العديد من االماكن املخصصة لألطفال ،كام يضم املكان مكتب ومتحف ،باإلضافة إىل الخدمات املميزة ،وتفتح حديقة بارك جيل أبوابها طول أيام األسبوع من الثامنة صباحاً إىل التاسعة مسا ًء ،و الحديقة تعترب مكان مميز لألطفال و الكبار و هي من معامل السياحة املشهور يف اسبانيا . القرص املليك اسبانيا إحدى القصور امللكية التي تتمتع بأبهى حلل الفخامة والرقي .القرص يستضيف العائالت امللكية خالل زيارتهم إلسبانيا ،وهو متحف مفتوح أمام العامة ،ويعد القرص اآلن من أفخم القصور يف مدريد.

يعرف القرص بفخامته وتصميمه املميز ،ويضم الكثري من الحدائق واألشجار ،فضالً عن تصميامته املبهرة ،ومن حيث أماكن االقامة ،يضم القرص 2800غرفة ملكية فاخرة. منتزه الريتريو من أجمل حدائق مدريد وأشهرها والتي يزورها السياح بكرثة ملا يتميز به من جامل وأماكن خالبة ،األمر الذي أكسبه شهرة واسعة كأجمل األماكن السياحية يف اسبانيا. برج كاالهورا تم بناء هذا الربج يف القرن الثاين عرش ،وهو من أجمل األبراج املعروفة واملشهورة يف اسبانيا ،أما الهدف من بناؤه فكان لحامية الجرس ،فهو برج يتكون من برجني ويوجد بالقرب من نهاية الجرس الروماين. متحف قرطبة األثري يوجد به مجموعة رائعة من املعروضات املميزة و الجذابة ،و يضم متحف قرطبة العديد من اآلثار و املقتنيات ،فضالً عن العديد من املعروضات األثرية التي تستحق الزيارة . قلعة الكازار واحد من أجمل قالع العامل ،وكانت القلعة يف السابق املكان الذي كانت تسكن بها امللكة ايزابيال وزوجها .تقع قلعة الكازار عىل نهر جواد الكيفري ،وهي من القالع املعروفة واملشهورة يف اسبانيا. البيت األندليس أحد اهم االماكن السياحية يف اسبانيا ،و هو عبارة عن تحفة فنية تذهل كل من يشاهدها ،و يضم البيت العديد من القطع األثرية ،كام يوجد بداخله العديد من الكتب القيمة و القدمية. شاطئ ال كونشا من أجمل الشواطئ يف اسبانيا وهو شاطئ رميل مشهور جدا ً نظرا ً لنظافته ونقاوة مياهه ،كام ميكن من أعىل الشاطئ مشاهدة جزيرة سانتا كالرا الخالبة. اكواريوم سان سيباستيان يضم االكواريوم حوض سمك كبري جدا ً ،ويعترب هذا الحوض من أكرب األحواض يف اسبانيا التي تتميز بتنوع املخلوقات البحرية املختلفة بأشكالها الغريبة. يعترب املمىش تحت النفق وأمام حوض األسامك يشء جذاب وممتع للغاية ،لذلك ننصحكم بزيارة هذا املكان الرائع املحبب لألطفال والكبار. قرص الحمراء هو أشهر القصور التي تشهد عىل عظمة الهندسة اإلسالمية يف األندلس ،حيث يزداد املبنى جامالً بالنقوش اإلسالمية واآليات القرآنية البارزة. يعترب قرص الحمراء من أجمل القصور األثرية يف اسبانيا والعامل أجمع ،و يقع فوق هضبة صغرية ،و هو إىل اآلن يعترب أشهر معلم حي للهندسة االسالمية يف األندلس، كام يعد من أجمل و أشهر أماكن السياحة يف اسبانيا األكرث زيارة. رويال تشابيل سوق مليك مشهور يضم العديد من رفات امللوك ،وميتاز السوق بتصميامته املطعمة بالزخارف القدمية املميزة ،ويضم متحفاً يحتضن أرقي األثريات واللوحات واملنحوتات املميزة والجذابة. متحف غرناطة األثري من أشهر املتاحف التي تعرض مجموعات كبرية من القطع األثرية واملشغوالت اليدوية من حضارات مختلفة .يوجد هذا املتحف الرائع يف قرص كاسرتيل ،ويتكون من طابقني وفناء ،وهو من أجمل املتاحف يف اسبانيا.

حيلة ذكية تحول كاميرا حواسب آيباد اللوحية إلى زر يمكن النقر عليه متكنت رشكة متخصصة يف تطوير تطبيقات الرسم من الوصول إىل حيلة مبتكرة تحول كامريا حواسب آيباد اللوحية من رشكة آبل ،التي من املعلوم أنها ال تأيت إال مع زر “الرئيسية” ،إىل زر فعيل ميكن النقر عليه. وقامت رشكة “أسرتو إتش كيو” Astro HQ املطورة لتطبيق الرسم “أسرتوباد” Astropad باستخدام تطبيقها األحدث لتحويل كامريا آيباد إىل زر ،إذ تظهر ،مع وضع األصبع فوق الكامريا األمامية ،لوحة تحكم جانبية تختفي مرة أخرى بعد وضع األصبع مجددًا. ولكن يتعني عىل املستخدم ،لالستفادة من الحيلة الجديدة ،جعل الكامريا يف وضع التشغيل طوال وقت االستخدام ،األمر الذي يُعتقد أنه سوف يكون له سلبيات أخرى ،مثل فضل عن االستهالك املكثف لطاقة البطاريةً ، مخاوفالخصوصية.

إتش بي تطور طابعة للعمل في الفضاء
فازت رشكة إتش يب HPبعقد ترقية طابعات وكالة الفضاء األمريكية ناسا NASA املوجودة ضمن محطة الفضاء الدولية ،ISSحيث أن إجراء عملية الطباعة داخل محطة الفضاء الدولية تتطلب بعض التعديالت العتادية املحددة لألجهزة املستخدمة ،وهو السبب يف أن الطابعات املستخدمة عىل منت محطة الفضاء الدولية تبلغ من العمر 17عاماً. وتحتاج وكالة الفضاء األمريكية ناسا إىل استبدال الطابعات القدمية جدا ً املتواجدة عىل منت محطة الفضاء الدولية ،وجرى اختيار رشكة إتش يب لتوفري طابعات جديدة بعد نجاحها بتطوير محطة العمل ZBook 120وإرسالها إىل محطة الفضاء يف العام املايض ،وجرى اختيار منوذج طابعة HP Envy 5600إلجراء التعديالت عليها وإرسالها إىل املحطة تحت اسم طابعة .HP Envy Zero-Gravity وطلبت وكالة ناسا من رشكة إتش يب تنفيذ عدد من الرتقيات والتحديثات املتعلقة بالسالمة ليك يتم إرسال الطابعة عىل منت صاروخ إىل محطة الفضاء الدولية والعمل ضمن بيئة خالية من الجاذبية ،حيث احتاجت الطابعة إىل تحديث إدارة الورق عند انعدام الجاذبية ومثبطات اللهب البالستيكية وإدارة نفايات الحرب أثناء الطباعة عند انعدام الجاذبية وإزالة الزجاج وتعديل االتصال السليك والالسليك والطباعة يف اتجاهات متعددة والكفاءة يف استخدام الطاقة. 30

والطالبني يف برنامج الدكتوراه كياويو جي وهونغزيا يل. وقد قام الفريق البحثي بنرش ورقة بحثية حول تقنية املحاكاة بعنوان "التنبؤ املبارش مبدى تبلل سطوح الكالسيت عرب إجراء محاكاة كمية أساسية" يف مجلة " ،"Physical Chemistry Lettersوهي مجلة علمية رائدة عىل مستوى العامل تقوم بنرشها الجمعية األمريكية للكيمياء .وجرى إعداد الورقة البحثية يف إطار مرشوع بحثي يحظى بتمويل رشكة برتول أبوظبي الوطنية (أدنوك) . ويشار إىل قابلية تبلل األسطح بدراسة طبيعة اتصال وانتشار السوائل مع السطوح الصلبة .ويساعد فهم هذه العالقة العلامء واملهندسني عىل تقييم مدى سهولة انتشار سائل ما عىل سطح صلب أو التصاقه به ضمن بيئة معينة .ومن شأن ذلك تقديم معلومات مهمة تفيد يف مجال دراسة حركة السوائل ضمن صخور الخزانات النفطية الجوفية، وتطوير مواد متقدمة يف مجاالت إنتاج الطاقة املتجددة وتحلية املياه ،إىل جانب العديد من التطبيقات واملجاالت األخرى. وأوضح الدكتور زانغ أنه من شأن القدرة عىل التنبؤ مبدى قابلية تبلل السطوح الجوفية إتاحة املجال لتطوير بروتوكوالت ميكن أن تساهم يف تعزيز العمليات الخاصة باستخراج النفط يف املنطقة واحتباس الكربون ضمن الهياكل الجيولوجية. ولتقدير مدى قابلية السطوح الجوفية عىل التبلل ،أجرى الفريق
البحثي سلسلة من عمليات املحاكاة الكمية عىل مستوى الذرة، والتي تظهر عمليات التفاعل ما بني الجزيئات املكونة لسطوح الصخور ومجموعة من جزيئات السوائل مثل املياه والنفط والغاز. وتجدر اإلشارة إىل أن القيام بهذه املحاكاة يتطلب الكثري من اإلمكانيات الحوسبية .فباإلضافة إىل التجهيزات الحوسبية فائقة القدرة التي يوفرها معهد مصدر للباحثني ،عمد الدكتور زانغ إىل استخدام الحوسبة السحابية فائقة القدرة التي توفرها رشكة "سحابة عيل بابا" يف الرشق األوسط وأفريقيا ومقرها ديب .وعقب ذلك ،قام الباحثون بالتحقق من نتائج املحاكاة من خالل إجراء تجارب ضمن مختربات أبحاث املواد املتطورة يف معهد مصدر. من جانبه ،قال الدكتور زانغ" :نقوم من خالل هذا البحث بالربط بني دراسة الفيزياء عىل مستوى الذرة ودراسة الخزانات الهيدروكرونية الجوفية .وحسب معلوماتنا ،فإن هذه أول عملية تنبؤ مبارشة لقابلية التبلل اعتامدا ً عىل عملية محاكاة كمية وميكانيكية أساسية. ومن شأن هذا املرشوع البحثي املساهمة يف دعم تحقيق هدف اإلمارات بتعزيز االستفادة من مواردها الطبيعية وفق أساليب أقل تكلفة واستهالكاً للطاقة". ويعكس هذا املرشوع البحثي املتقدم مدى التزام جامعة خليفة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا بتكثيف الجهود البحثية املحلية لدعم تطور ومنو القطاعات الرئيسية يف اإلمارات.

قد يكون لشخص لديه ذكاء ثقايف منخفض ميل لرؤية سلوك الجميع من خالل عدسته الثقافية .وإذا كان يأيت من بيئة أكرث كياسة ولطفا ،عىل سبيل املثال ،ويالحظ أن زمالءه اليابانيني أو الكوريني يلزمون الصمت كثريا يف اجتامع ما ،قد يفرتض أنهم عدائيون أو ضجرون. ويف مجال الطريان ،تسببت مثل هذه االختالفات الثقافية أحيانا يف انهيار االتصاالت بني الطيارين ومراقبي الحركة الجوية ،وهو ما أدى إىل وقوع حوادث تحطم مميتة. لكن شخصا ميتلك أعىل مستوى من الذكاء الثقايف قد يدرك أن الصمت يف مثل هذا االجتامع هو عالمة عىل االحرتام، وأن ردود الفعل لن تقدم ما مل تطلب رصاحة .ونتيجة لذلك ،فإنه يتأكد من إتاحة فرص مناسبة يف االجتامع يك يديل اآلخرون بآرائهم. ولعله من غري املستغرب أن العديد من الدراسات قد استكشفت كيفية تكيف املغرتبني مع الحياة يف الخارج، وأظهرت أن أولئك الذين لديهم أعىل مستوى أويل من الذكاء الثقايف سوف يجدون التأقلم مع حياتهم الجديدة أسهل. إال أن الذكاء الثقايف ميكن أن يشري إىل جوانب أكرث موضوعية من األداء الوظيفي ،مثل أداء املبيعات الدولية، ومهارات التفاوض ،والقدرة القيادية الشاملة.
يف بلد آخر ،رغم أنه يبدو أن الناس يتعلمون يف الغالب من ثالثة أشكال من الذكاء إحدى الدراسات التي أجريت يف عام 2011عملت عىل التعرض ملجموعة متنوعة من الثقافات املختلفة إذا أردوا قياس نسبة الذكاء ( ،)IQوالذكاء العاطفي ( ،)EQوالذكاء تعلم تلك املهارات القابلة للتعميم. الثقايف ( )CQلنحو 126ضابطا يدرسون يف األكادميية ويقول "يف حني أن فهم ثقافة معينة ميكن أن يكون مفيدا، العسكرية السويرسية ،وهم يشاركون يف مهام مختلفة فإنه قد ال يتنبأ إطالقا بكل قدراتك عىل االنخراط بفاعلية يف مكان جديد". تدعم األمم املتحدة يف أراض أجنبية ،ويف تدريبات دولية. ورغم أنه بدا أن جميع أشكال الذكاء الثالثة ساهمت يف ويضيف "يف الواقع ،توصلت أبحاثنا إىل أن األفراد الذين أدائهم الكيل ،إال أنه تبني أن الذكاء الثقايف كان أفضل عامل أمضوا وقتا مطوال يف مواقع متعددة يكون لديهم عىل تنبؤ ،إذ كان مسؤوال عن 25يف املئة من نسبة نجاح الضباط األرجح معرفة ذكاء ثقايف أعىل من أولئك الذين عاشوا عقودا عديدة يف بيئة واحدة يف الخارج". يف املهام الدولية. ويف حني أن األشخاص من ذوي الذكاء الثقايف العايل قد لكن يبدو أن تعليم بعض املفاهيم األساسية بشكل واضح ينجذبون بشكل طبيعي لوظائف دولية ،فإن هذه الدراسات يسهل تلك العملية .فيمكن للموظفني الخضوع الختبار تشري إىل أن االختالفات يف الذكاء الثقايف ميكن أيضا أن تتنبأ الذكاء الثقايف ،ثم العمل مع مدرب لتحديد التحديات املحتملة. بأدائهم يف حال تعيينهم يف وظائف معينة. وهذا التقييم يقود العديد من الرشكات إىل النظر يف اختبار الذكاء الثقايف ومعرفة كيفية تعزيز درجات ذكاء املوظفني عىل مقياس الذكاء الثقايف .وقد استخدمت مؤسسات، مثل ستاربكس وبلومربغ وجامعة ميشغان ،الخدمات التي يقدمها مركز الذكاء الثقايف يف ميشغان ،والذي يقدم اختبارات عرب الثقافات املختلفة ،ومجموعة من الدورات.
وفيام بعد ،يناقشون تلك التجارب والطرق التي ميكن لهم تطويع سلوكهم من خاللها يف املستقبل .وباستخدام هذه االسرتاتيجية ،بدا أن املرصفيني املغرتبني الذين ينتقلون إىل الرشق األوسط ،وآسيا ،تكيفوا متاما مع حياتهم الجديدة خالل ثالثة أشهر فقط ،بينام استغرق املوظفون املغرتبون الذي مل يحصلوا عىل أي تدريب ثقايف تسعة أشهر يك يصبحوا قادرين عىل العمل بكامل قدراتهم.

الذكاء الثقافي :موهبة خفية تحدد قدرتك على النجاح من الواضح أن املسألة مل تكن مسألة خربة أو حوافز .وبدال من ذلك ،رأت أن هؤالء املوظفني ذوي القدرات العالية يتعرثون أمام االختالفات الثقافية لدى كل منهم ،وهو ما أدى إىل انهيار التواصل والتفاهم فيام بينهم.

لماذا يفضل الشباب الموهوب االنتقال كثيرا من عمل آلخر؟ جل ما بوسعهم ال يبذل أفضل القادة اإلداريني يف الغالب ّ لالحتفاظ بخرية العاملني الشباب ،وهذه االسرتاتيجية تؤدي من وجهة نظرهم إىل نجاحات طويلة األمد ،حسب ما يقول سيدين فينكلشتني ،الخبري يف علوم اإلدارة. يف أيامنا هذه ،تخيّب الرشكات آمال العاملني الشباب .رغم أن كثري من اإلداريني حاول جذب الكثري من أبناء جيل األلفية الجديدة .فعىل سبيل املثال ،تقدم بعض الرشكات للموظفني الشباب أجواء عمل أكرث مرونة ،أو امتيازات توفري الطعام والعصائر يف مكاتب العمل. يغيوا أمورا ً جوهرية يف كيفية هيكلة لكن اإلداريني مل ّ الوظائف .كام إنهم يتبعون اسرتاتيجيات عتيقة للتعامل مع املواهب ال ترتبط كثريا بالكيفية التي يفكر بها جيل الشباب بخصوص العمل. وتشدّد العديد من الرشكات عىل استبقاء نسبة من العاملني الشباب لديها ألهميتهم؛ ولذلك فهي تنظم أمور التوظيف والتعويضات ،وتطوير املهارات ،وغريها من املسائل بهدف استبقاء أفضل العاملني ألطول فرتة ممكنة. إال أن أبناء جيل األلفية ال يهتمون بطول فرتة توليهم ملركز وظيفي ما بقدر اهتاممهم بكثافة تعلمهم أثناء العمل، وتنمية أنفسهم .فهم يريدون أن يأخذوا عىل عاتقهم مسؤوليات أكرث ،وأن يعتلوا املراكز الوظيفية بشكل أرسع، مبساعدة من يستطيع من املديرين والزمالء أن يدفعهم إىل األمام ،ومساعدتهم عىل التطور .كام إنهم يريدون بصرية ملهمة تسهم يف تحفيزهم للعمل الجاد والتفوق. عىل ما يبدو ،فإن بعضاً من أفضل املديرين يف العامل قد أدركوا هذا األمر اآلن. كنت قد قضيت العقد املايض وأنا أدرس خصائص "املديرين األفذاذ" ،املتفوقني للغاية من قطاعات عمل متنوعة ،ممن
كانوا أيضاً استثنائيني وأصحاب مواهب متعددة .وتوجد أوجه تشابه رئيسية يف كيفية إدارتهم للعاملني الشباب لديهم. وبعد إجراء 200مقابلة وقراءة آالف الصفحات من املواد املنشورة ،اكتشفت أن "املديرين األفذاذ" ،مثل مصمم األزياء رالف لورين ،واملستثمر ومدير صندوق التحوط السيد جوليان روبرتسون ،ومبتكر التقنيات الري إليسون ،وكثري غريهم ،قد بنوا إرثاً عن طريق ترسيخ فكرة استمرار اكتساب املواهب الشابة ،مع الرتكيز عىل تطويرهم. املذهل يف األمر أن هؤالء املديرين عاملوا موظفيهم بالطريقة التي يحب أبناء جيل األلفية أن يُعاملوا بها ،فقدموا لهم تدريباً مناسباً لكل فرد منهم وحسب الطلب ،وفرص هائلة يف التقدم الوظيفي وحرية اإلبداع ،ومجاالت للتعلم، وفرصة القيام بعمل هادف. ويريد العاملون الطموحون أن يجدوا فرصة لتحقيق نجاح مؤثر ،ويتيح املديرون األفذاذ لهم أن يقوموا بالضبط بهذا األمر. وبإطالق العنان لولع املتدربني الشباب وطاقتهم اإلبداعية وتسخريها ،بنى املديرون رشكات ناجحة وأحدثوا تغيريا ً يف قطاعات عملهم ،وأصبحوا من أصحاب املليارات يف بعض الحاالت. ومل يبذلوا مجهودا ً كبريا ً ليستبقوا موظفيهم ،ومن املؤكد أنهم مل يعيشوا يف خوف من أن يلملم أفضل العاملني لديهم حاجاتهم وأمتعتهم ويغادروا .لقد أدركوا أنه ال ميكن اإلبقاء عىل أفضل العاملني يف أي مجال كان؛ فهم ُوجدوا ليطوروا أنفسهم ،ومن الطبيعي أن يفتشوا عن فرص أكرب يف أماكن أخرى. وكام يقول مايكل مايلز ،املدير التنفيذي إلحدى رشكات
األطعمة املعلبة" :ال تستطيع اإلبقاء عىل العاملني الجيدين، وإذا ما حصلوا حقاً عىل فرصة جيدة ال ميكنك مجاراتها، فحتامً ستخرسهم .غري أن ذلك هو الثمن الذي تدفعه لقاء وجود أناس متميزين حقاً". وقد أدرك املديرون األفذاذ أنه من األفضل أن يكون لديك أناس رائعون لفرتة وجيزة عىل أن يكون لديك أناس متوسطو املستوى لفرتة طويلة من الزمن .ولذا ،ركزوا عىل االستفادة من مهارات متدربيهم الطموحني إىل أقىص حد ممكن ما داموا يعملون لديهم ،بينام يقومون بإرشادهم فردياً وفقا لسريهم املهنية ،موفرين لهم الفرص واملسؤوليات التي ال تتوفر يف أماكن أخرى. وعندما يرتك هؤالء املتدربون العمل يف الرشكة ،يسعى املديرون لإلبقاء عىل الصالت معهم ويواصلوا املداوالت والرشاكات الرسمية وغري الرسمية معهم .وقد أتاح هذا للمديرين جني الفوائد من شبكة عالقات من كانوا يعملون لديهم ،مبا يف ذلك تراخيص ذات امتيازات عديدة واالطالع عىل فرص تجارية ،ومواهب وأفكار جديدة. إليكم ما هو غري متوقع :عىل الرغم من رغبة القادة اإلداريني األفذاذ يف التخيل عن اسرتاتيجية استبقاء املوظفني ،فإنهم خلقوا محبة واحرتاماً عظيمني لدى العاملني آلت إىل استبقاء املوظفني لفرتات أطول. كلام عملت أكرث لتحسني التعلم والرتكيز عليه وتنمية الخربة للعاملني لديك ،ستصبح رغبتهم يف البقاء لفرتة أطول أمرا ً طبيعياً .فام الداعي لذهابهم إىل مكان آخر؟ تبي أنه أفضل اسرتاتيجية هي أن تلبي متطلباتهم لذا فقد ّ الشخصية وتوفر برنامجا مكثفا لتطوير العاملني ،يُبنى عىل أساس أن أفضل العاملني لديك قد يغادرون أبكر مام تود. يب يب يس The Source

متطوعو دبي العطاء يضعون بنجاح حجر األساس لمدرسة جديدة في نيبال • 15متطوعاً يشاركون يف مبادرة ديب العطاء "التطوع حول هو العالج ،و األهم من ذلك هو اإللتزام مبساعدة الجميع الحصول عىل حياة أفضل .وبناء ديب العطاء لهذه املدرسة يف العامل" •سيستفيد من املدرسة فور اإلنتهاء من بنائها 150تلميذا ً نيبال سوف سيفتح من دون شك آفاق جديدة ملساعدة األطفال عىل تحقيق أحالمهم وأن يكون لديهم مستقبالً مرشقاً وناجحاً". و 60امرأة أمية عاد خمسة عرش متطوعاً شاركوا يف دورة عام 2017من مبادرة ديب العطاء "التطوع حول العامل" ،يف أمان إىل ديب عقب زيارتهم لقرية فولييل يف منطقة كانشنبور حيث وضعوا حجر األساس ملدرسة جديدة وسط املجتمع املحيل .وقد أكسبت املهمة التي استمرت ألسبوعاً كامالً بني 21و 27أكتوبر املتطوعني مشاعر متنوعة ومتعددة منها الرتقب واإلثارة والتعاطف والحزن والعزمية والسعادة .ومع عودة املتطوعني إىل ديارهم ،الزمهم يف املقام األول شعور واحد متثل يف تحقيق االنجاز ،وذلك من خالل مساهمتهم يف تعليم 150تلميذا ً و 60امرأة أمية يف ذلك املجتمعالصغري.
وقد انضم إىل متطوعو ديب العطاء ،جزء من مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العاملية ،يف الرحلة امليدانية فريق من ديب العطاء ومن الرشيك املنفذ ،"BuildOn" ،فضال عن فريق من البنائني من املجتمع املحيل.
من جانبها ،قالت رنا عوض ،مديرة املشاركة املجتمعية يف ديب العطاء" :جمعت مبادرة ديب العطاء 15متطوعاً من مختلف الخلفيات والثقافات حيث عملوا جنباً إىل جنب وبال كلل لبناء مدرسة يف قرية فولييل .لقد تأثرنا جدا بحامسة والتزام وتفاين املتطوعني .نحن فخورون بكافة املتطوعني ،ومن خالل الدعم الذي قدموه لألطفال يف فولييل ،سرنى قريباً بيئة تعليمية آمنة وقد شارك الفريق التطوعي املكون من 15متطوعاً يف مجموعة من شأنها متكني األطفال من تنمية قدراتهم وبناء مستقبل أفضل من األنشطة املرافقة لعمليات البناء يف موقع املدرسة؛ شملت لهموملجتمعهم. الحفر ووضع الطوب وربط وتسليح الحديد ،فضالً عن مزج هذا وقد تزامنت مبادرة التطوع حول العامل هذا العام مع تحدي الخرسانة والحمل والغربلة وضخ املياه .كام أقيمت ورش عمل اللياقة البدنية ملدة 30يوما الذي أطلقه صاحب السمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم ويل عهد ديب ورئيس تعليمية ثقافية للتفاعل بشكل أفضل مع املجتمع املحيل. ويف معرض تعليقه عىل دورة هذا العام من مبادرة "التطوع حول مجلس ديب الريايض ،حيث إلتزم كافة املتطوعني وموظفي ديب العامل" يف نيبال ،قال طارق القرق ،الرئيس التنفيذي لديب العطاء :العطاء ب 30دقيقة من التامرين الرياضية يومياً خالل إقامتهم “إن التطوع يف صميم عملنا يف ديب العطاء ،حيث نعتربه كأحد يف نيبال. هذا وأطلقت ديب العطاء مبادرة "التطوع حول العامل" يف عام 2009انسجاماً مع هدف املؤسسة بإرشاك أفراد املجتمع املحيل بدولة اإلمارات ومنحهم فرصة املشاركة يف العمل اإلنساين. وتسعى ديب العطاء باستمرار إىل تشجيع مشاركة متطوعني مقمني بدولة اإلمارات ،ومتحمسني للعمل االجتامعي ولديهم القدرة البدنية عىل املشاركة يف أعامل البناء وتحمل ظروف العمل ومنط الحياة اليومية يف البلدان ال ّنامية.
أوضح عالمات التضامن مع املجتمعات يف جميع أنحاء العامل وكأداة فعالة للتنمية املستدامة .ومن خالل مبادرتنا "التطوع حول العامل" ،تهدف ديب العطاء إىل إعطاء املتطوعني املقيمني باإلمارات فرصة خوض تجربة فريدة من نوعها ،وكذلك ورؤية الوضع عىل أرض الواقع ومساعدتنا يف التصدي للتحديات امللّحة املتعلقة بالتعليم يف البلدان ال ّنامية .نحن فخورون بالتزام وتفاين املتطوعني الذين سافروا معنا من دولة اإلمارات ،والذين كرسوا وقتهم وشغفهم وخربتهم ملنح هدية التعليم لألطفال املحرومني هذا وقامت ديب العطاء بإختيار 50مرتشحاً بنا ًء عىل األجوبة يف نيبال .ومن دون شك فإن تأثري العمل الذي قام به املتطوعون الواردة يف إستامرة التسجيل مع منح األولوية ألولئك الذين يف غضون أسبوع واحد سيستمر أثره لعقود". سجلوا أوالً .وقامت ديب العطاء بإجراء مقابالت فردية مع كل قالت إميان املري متطوعة من اإلمارات" :تخصيص بعض الوقت واحد منهم خالل فرتة الصيف .وعقب إجراء املقابالت ،قامت للتطوع هو من العادات األساسية التي أكتسبتها منذ أن كنت ديب العطاء باختيار 15متطوعاً انضموا إىل املؤسسة خالل املهمة يف السادسة عرشة من عمري .أن أشارك يف مبادرة ديب العطاء التي استمرت أسبوعاً يف نيبال. للتطوع حول العامل سيسمح يل مبساعدة اآلخرين ليس فقط يف يُشار بأ ّن كانشنبور هي موطن للسكان ثارو األصليني .ويعيش مجتمعي ،بل أيضا يف جميع أنحاء العامل وأن أجرب شيئ خارج يف املنطقة حوايل 44%من السكان تحت خط الفقر ،وتصل حيايت اليومية كذلك .وآمل أن تحدث هذه التجربة فرقا يف حياة معدالت األمية يف املناطق الريفية يف نيبال إىل ما يعادل .70%أما األطفال والشباب يف هذه القرية يف نيبال ". العقبات التي تواجه التعليم تتمثل يف ارتفاع التكاليف املدرسية،
وشاركها نفس الشعور جو دويل متطوع من الواليات املتحدة وبُعد املسافة ،وانخفاض جودة التعليم ،وتفضيل أولياء األمور األمريكية حيث قال" :يف عا ٍمل بات معقدا ً بشكل متزايد ،حيث لعاملة أبنائهم بدالً من تعليمهم ،مام يؤدي إىل ترسب الكثري أصبحنا نهتم دامئا مبشاكلنا ،وننىس مشاكل اآلخرين .فإن التطوع من األطفال من املدارس أو عدم قدرتهم من اإللتحاق باملدرسة.

أطعمة السعادة
تدفع حاالت االكتئاب واإلحباط الكثريين للبحث عن وسائل تساعدهم عىل تحسني مزاجهم ،وال شك أن للرياضة دور مهم يف ذلك ،لكن خرباء يرون أن تناول بعض األطعمة له تأثري واضح عىل تحسني املزاج ،فام هي هذه األطعمة؟ رمبا يشعر البعض مبزاج جيد بعد تناول بعض األطعمة ،عىل عكس أطعمة أخرى ،التي قد تصيب باإلحباط. هذا األمر دفع بعض رشكات تصنيع املواد الغذائية يف أواخر تسعينيات القرن املايض إىل السعي لالستفادة من ذلك وتحقيق الكثري من املكاسب ،وذلك من خالل إضافة بعض النكهات ،املؤلفة من أعشاب معروفة بتأثريها الفعال عىل مشكلةاالكتئاب،عىلاألغذيةأثناءتصنيعها. لكن هذه املنتجات مل تنترش كثريا ،بل وحتى أنه تم إلغاؤها، والسبب هو أن هذه املنتجات زادت من نسبة اإلصابة باالكتئاب بدال من القضاء عليه. وتكرث األطعمة الطبيعية التي متنحنا مزاجا جيدا بفضل مكوناتها ،وهي ال شك أفضل بكثري من األطعمة املصنعة. فالجسم ينتج ذاتيا هرمون "األندروفني" املعروف بهرمون "السعادة" ،وهذا يعني أنه من املمكن زيادة نسبة هذا الهرمون من خالل تناول بعض األطعمة التي تعزز إفرازه. علام أن نقص بعض الفيتامينات يف الجسم مثل فيتامني Bو Cوبعض املعادن مثل الحديد والبوتاسيوم والزنك ،قد يكون السبب وراء نقص إفراز هرمون السعادة يف الجسم. وفيام ييل نستعرض بعض األطعمة التي تساعد عىل تعديل املزاج. الشوكوالتة 14

تتميز الشوكوالتة مبذاقها اللذيذ ،بل وحتى إن الكثري من الدراسات أثبتت دورها الفعال يف رفع الروح املعنوية .ويرجع ذلك إىل مجموعة من املواد الكيميائية املوجودة بداخلها، والتي تساعد عىل تحفيز أماكن معينة يف الدماغ إلفراز األندورفني. وبحسب الكثري من الدراسات فإن تعديل املزاج بتناول الشوكوالتة ،يعود إىل احتوائها عىل كمية عالية من مادة الفينول ،وهي من املواد املضادة لألكسدة والتي ميكن أن تساعد عىل تعزيز الحالة املزاجية. ووفقا ملوقع "غيزندهيات هويت" ،قام بعض علامء النفس بإجراء أبحاث فريدة من نوعها ،إذ حاول الباحثون من خاللها اختبار ما إذا تناول الشوكوالتة بهدف تعزيز املزاج ،يعزز دورها يف ذلك. وأظهرت النتائج أن أولئك الذين تناولوا الشوكوالتة وهم عىل قناعة تامة بدورها يف تحسني املزاج ،حيث تحسن مزاجهم وزادت طاقتهم وقوتهم بنسبة 67باملئة. عائلة التوت عائلة التوت التي تضم الفراولة والتوت األسود واألزرق واألحمر ،هي عائلة سعيدة بإمتياز ،فهي تحتوي عيل مواد مضادةلألكسدةوفيتامني«يس»،وهيمضاداتفعالةللقضاء عيل القلق والتوتر ،كام تعمل عيل محاربة السموم التي تؤذي الجسموتجعلنانشعرباإلرهاق العنب يساعد العنب عىل إفراز هرمون "السعادة" يف الجسم ،فهو غني بفيتامني Cومصدرا جيدا للبوتاسيوم ،وخاصة العنب األحمر ،إذ يحتوي عىل كمية عالية من مضادات األكسدة
املفيدة لصحة القلب ،حسبام ورد عىل موقع "غيزوندهايت تيبس" املكرسات للمكرسات دور مهم يف تعديل املزاج ،فإىل جانب األحامض الدهنيةاملفيدة،تحتوياملكرساتعىلكميةعاليةمنفيتامني Bوالربوتنيوالسيلينوماملعروفبخصائصهاملحسنةللمزاج. أي أن من يرغب أن يبدأ يومه مبزاج جيد ،ينصحه خرباء الصحة مبامرسة الرياضة ملدة 30دقيقة تقريبا صباح كل يوم ،ومن ثم تناول حفنة من املكرسات ،علام أن املكرسات الربازيلية وبذور عباد الشمس هي أغنى أنواع املكرسات مبادة السيلينيوم. الثوم يعترب الثوم مكافحا للكآبة وجالبا للسعادة فلذلك يطلق عىل الثوم صانع البهجة الحتوائه عىل مادة الكروم والتي تقوم بدورها بالتأثري اإليجايب عىل هرمون السريوتونني ويطلق عليه مادة البهجة ،التي تحسن املزاج وتعالج الشعور بالخوف واالرتباك. املوز تناول املوز يجلب السعادة والشعور بالرضا وذلك الحتواء املوز عىل مادة الرتبتوفان ،التي تتحول إىل هرمون السعادة باإلضافة إىل أنه غني مبادة البوتاسيوم فهو غذاء جيد لتعديل املزاج. الطامطم وتحتوي الطامطم عىل مركب الاليكوبني ،الذي مينحها لونها األحمر الالمع ،ويعد عالجا فعاال يف محاربة الكآبة وتحسني املزاج ،كام مينع تشكيل املركبات االلتهابية يف الدماغ التي ترتبطبالكآبة.

صحة وأسلوب حياة
الوقاية من آالم الرقبة يُعد أمل الرقبة من الشكاوى الشائعة ،حيث تشكل الرقبة جزءا ً من العمود الفقري وتتكون من 7فقرات تشكل الرقبة إضافة إىل مجموعة من العضالت ،األربطة واألعصاب وكل منها ميكن أن يكون سبباً ألمل الرقبة. تكون معظم االم الرقبة الحادة ناجمة عن إجهاد عضالت الرقبة أو النسج األخرى (األربطة ،األوتار) أو متزقها بسبب قوة مفاجئة تعرضت لها الرقبة نتيجة للحوادث أو لحركة مفاجئة أو بسبب إجهاد الرقبة (تيبس الرقبة الناجم عن النوم بطريقة خاطئة أو استخدام وسادة عالية) أو اإلجهاد الناجم عن حمل الحقائب الثقيلة ،أو من وضع الجلوس السيئ سواء كان ذلك بامليل نحو جهاز الكمبيوتر أثناء العمل أو االنحناء إىل األمام عىل طاولة العمل يف املنزل، بجانب الرث واالهرتاء املرتبطني بتقدم العمر. إن معظم األذيات الخفيفة عىل األربطة ،األوتار أو العضالت يف الرقبة تشفى لوحدها مع الوقت خالل عدة أيام وحتى عدة أسابيع ألن هذه البنيات ذات تروية دموية جيدة تؤمن لها املواد الغذائية والربوتينات الالزمة لحدوث الشفاء. وميكن معالجة هذه الحاالت باملعالجات املحافظة مثل استخدام الكامدات الباردة أو الحارة ،األدوية (املسكنات) أو املعالجة الفيزيائية. وال بد من مراجعة الطبيب عند استمرار األمل أكرث من أسبوعني أو إذا ترافق أمل الرقبة مع أمل شديد يف الذراع أو مع تنميل أو خدر يف اليد ،ألن هذه الحاالت غالباً ما ترتافق مع سبب ترشيحي يؤدي لهذه األعراض (انزالق الغرضوف 10
