An exciting discovery, at the Hocken Library, was the original plan of Sir Percy’s 1914 homestead. This has been reproduced onto a brass plaque which will be mounted on a large rock near the ruins.

A removal truck pulled up to stop then reversed right into a vehicle that had pulled up behind. Remember you are generally at fault when you reverse into another motorist so have a good look first, especially reversing out of driveways. We were called to a suspicious character in Luggate who was seen sneaking around in the small hours. He was in shorts and had a dark hoodie with a distinctive cross on the back. If you have seen this person or know who it is let us know. On Saturday evening a local male went to an address in Kowhai Drive with the intention to confront another male. As a result he has been charged with a number of assault and other offences. We investigated a complaint of threats in relation to a sale of goods and money owed. No matter how angry or frustrated you are when someone does you wrong, exercise control and keep the emotion out of how you react. Some fools have sprayed graffiti in purple spray paint on the rear of the Catholic Church sign on Aubrey Road. They have also altered the front of the sign in white house paint. This is likely to be youths from the area so if you have purple spray paint and white water based paint that someone has tampered with let us know. There is a ‘speed’ and ‘manner of driving’ campaign so mind your road manners and take some of the lead out of your right foot.
