GUIDING PRINCIPLES

TSCPA 2020 has four guiding principles to direct our future endeavors and chart our course for success.

BUILDING LEADERS Identify, engage, support and develop future CPA leaders for the Society, chapters, our community and the profession.

ORGANIZATIONAL FLEXIBILITY Respond to and prepare for changes in the profession, our association and the needs of Texas CPAs.

CONNECTING MEMBERS & RESOURCES Leverage the professional power and knowledge of 28,000 members across Texas.

LEAD & SUCCEED WITH TSCPA 2020 You’ve seen the roadmap for our future developed in response to the changes and trends affecting your profession. TSCPA is committed to partnering with you to move your profession into a future where CPAs remain essential. You are at the center of our vision and plan for TSCPA 2020. Everything we do will strengthen our partnership for your future success. We’re confident that your engagement and support of the initiatives in TSCPA 2020 will enhance the value of your membership. Here are just a few ways you can personally impact the future of TSCPA and your profession while achieving personal success:

Participate in our interactive and engaging educational opportunities – either in person or via webcasts – and give us your honest feedback and input on how we can improve or expand our offerings.

Keep your member profile up-to-date and tell us what’s most important to you. That will ensure that you receive communications based on your interests and preferences, as well as give us a better understanding of the needs of our member population as a whole. Member updates can easily be made online at www.tscpa.org.

Immerse yourself in TSCPA Exchange, our new online member community and explore the connections available to you across the state. The true value of your membership will come from the people you meet and the relationships you form with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and industries. It’s all about who you know and TSCPA knows the best of the best in the accounting profession in Texas.

Become informed about TSCPA’s advocacy efforts and consider getting involved in governmental affairs opportunities. This can be as simple as making a donation to the CPA-PAC or leveraging a relationship you have with a legislator or his/her staff.

Connect with your local chapter to participate in programs aimed at driving your success and engaging members in your community. TSCPA’s 20 chapters serve as a home base for members to collaborate and be better together. TSCPA.com/TSCPA2020 | 6
