HELLO MR. SENATOR PAT Mc GUIRE He Will Serve The Remainder of Term and Run For Election in November The announcement by Illinois State Senator Arthur J. (A.J.) Wilhelmi that he was about to resign his Illinois Senate seat came as an unexpected surprised to thousands of loyal supporters. Some believed Wilhelmi might one day serve as Governor of the state. That is behind him now as Senator Wilhelmi slips into the seat of Vice President of the Illinois Hospital Association. The Will County Democratic Organization sorted through the eligible possibilities to be for appointment to Wilhelmi’s 43rd District seat and came up with an individual who has the education, experience and dedication to duty to become the best choice to fill that seat. That person is Pat McGuire former Will Senator Pat McGuire County Treasurer and educator. Pat McGuire is an intellectual who is attuned to the needs of the community and who will likely be a strong voice for education and families in the State Senate. McGuire is a quiet, reserved individual who often shies away from cameras but who will have little choice now but to be exposed to more than he may relish. Illinois has lost a dedicated, honest, sincere family man who carefully pondered the consequences of every bill on which he had to vote. With Senator Wilhelmi it was always a question of how his vote on any issue might affect those whom he was representing. When he announced his departure

from the senate many were dismayed at his leaving; it seemed he was leaving a void that would be very difficult indeed to fill The county has, however, many individuals who might have replaced Senator Wilhelmi and many names were rumored as front runners including the son of the current County Executive Lawrence (Larry) Walsh. In the end there was little competition as Pat McGuire, an individual all the members of the party knew and liked, emerged as the leading contender. No one could question McGuire’s abilities, his sincerity, nor his honesty and integrity; he was in the end the best possible choice to replace his likewise honest predecessor. McGuire brought changes to the Will County Treasurer’s office during his one term as treasurer, changes that simplified procedures and offered opportunities to people to save money where they may have once overlooked savings. McGuire lost his office to Steve Weber the current office holder in 2010. There is no doubt Pat McGuire will bring a strong voice to the Senate and he will likely bring changes along with that representation.

FBI Is Asking For Your Help To Catch This Thief The FBI has issued an alert on Wednesday March 29th that a lone gunman robbed the U.S. Bank located at 11159 South Kedzie Avenue. The robbery occurred in the morning hours. The individual did not display a weapon and no weapon was observed during the course of the holdup. The robber is described as a black male between 40 and 50 years of age. He wore dark glasses and his head was covered by what appears to be a cap. Bank employees said he has scars on his face and one of his hands. He was wearing a black coat and hat at the time of the stickup. The robbery has been described as a “non take over robbery” and there is a reward being offered by the FBI. If you have any information that might assist the FBI in apprehending this thief you are asked to contact the FBI in Chicago at 312-421-6700. Do not attempt to confront the robber by any means.

Patlak continues smear campaign against Morrison Dear Fellow Conservative, I am a Republican businessman and pro-family candidate that is running for Cook County Board of Review. My opponent, tax commissioner Dan Patlak's campaign has decided to distort the facts in an effort to attack my personal character. As a man of principle, I have decided it is necessary to respond in order to set the facts straight. I hope that anyone that has helped spread tax commissioner Patlak’s falsehoods will, in fairness, be equally willing to distribute my response. Tax commissioner Dan Patlak's Chief of Staff at the Board of Review and Campaign Manager, Ken Jochum has questioned my pro-life beliefs as well as my respect for women. These attacks could not be further from the truth. Here are the facts: -Throughout my career and life I have fought to protect women and helped to bring those that threaten them to justice. -I received the LEADS 2011 Humanitarian Award for my work in solving missing persons and exploited children's cases. In my work I have helped to reunite dozens of families with their children and loved ones. -I have worked with the Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force to stop the exploitation of women and we have been successful in helping many victims. But there is much more work to do. -I have worked with these and other causes pro-bono, in an effort to help the victims of these crimes and to prevent further victimization from taking place. -I am a parishioner of our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church. -My wife Lora is a nurse at Christ Hospital and together we are raising our two beautiful daughters. -I am 100% pro-life and have, for many, many years, attended pro-life conferences. Over the years, I have also donated to pro-life organizations. Being pro-life is not just an election issue for me – it is a way of life. I hope this helps set the record straight. What moral justification can there be for tax commissioner Dan Patlak’s actions? Why should we vote for a Republican that acts exactly as a machine Democrat would? A corporation has been defined as “an artificial being created at the convenience of the state.” A corporation is not a person, a corporation has no soul, it is nothing other than a convenient vehicle for protecting people from being punished for wrongs they may do against those who trust them act with integrity.

You had better throw your bondage to the party out the window and wake up to the facts before you like the billions of people in China find yourself without a Bill of Rights. Dr. Michio Kaku is a renowned scientist with broad vision and a strong imagination that pursues “what if” that can become reality within the realm of modern science. Not many years ago many things we simply take for granted today were visions taken from the world of science fiction. They were either not possible at all or they were extremes of the existing technology. During WWII troops relied very heavily on radio transmitters. There

were two portable types that may interest you. One was the SCR 536 the other an SCR 300. You might consider the size of your modern cell phone to these. Your cell phone can quickly connect you around the world while the SCR536 had a useful range of 100 yards to as much as a mile. It weighed 5.5 pounds. Dr. Kaku leads us on a journey into the land of imagination using existing and plausible future technology as he builds an exciting adventure of

speculation; for once we develop a machine with such superior intellect, a machine that reasons, thinks, and makes choices superior to ourselves we have put ourselves in jeopardy of extinction. Science fiction? You decide for yourself as you watch this intriguing video by Dr. Kaku and keep in mind that he is not a crackpot but a

progress for us all within the 21st Century. But, as you watch perhaps you, as I did, will become concerned at the prospects of what he is saying. What if we develop machines with super-intelligence? What if we develop machines that can think better than we think, that can feel, that have emotions similar to humans? Is it possible the machines could determine we were inferior and ultimately determine we humans are inferior, outdated, technologically antiquated and no longer needed? It is not merely a joking

My friends and I we thrilled to be able to talk over the string. Today youngsters 7 years old are very likely playing games on a parent’s cell phone. But while we marvel at the wonderful advances in technology perhaps we should keep our feet firmly planted on the ground lest we find we are no longer necessary in a purely scientific world.

The perfect solution to a long, dreary day is a warm and delicious meal made right at home. There is no better time of year than the winter season to turn to an American favorite: the casserole. By filling one dish with delicious ingredients, you

1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup 1 cup chicken broth 1 cup sour cream 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper 4-5 cups chopped cooked chicken 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans quartered artichoke hearts, drained 12 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced 1/4 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyére cheese 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish with no-stick cooking spray. 2. Beat egg in medium bowl. Stir in buttermilk and oil. Stir in cornmeal mix and thyme leaves until smooth. Stir in 1 cup cheese. Pour into prepared dish. Bake 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Place on cooling rack. 3. Combine soup, broth and sour cream in a large bowl. Stir in garlic salt and lemon pepper. Stir in chicken, artichokes and mushrooms until combined. Pour over cornbread. Top with 1/4 cup cheese and bacon. 4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until chicken mixture is bubbly. Cool 5 minutes before serving. Makes 8 servings Bake and cool casserole. Cover dish tightly with plastic wrap and then with aluminum foil. Place in freezer up to one month. Remove foil and plastic wrap. Reheat at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.

Professionals find passion, paychecks in sports industry (ARA) - Decades ago, the sports industry was a combination of talented athletes and mom and pop business owners. But now, in an economic time when many industries are hurting, sports business is one that is thriving and growing. Sports are an escape for many people, something to cheer for, something to be passionate about. Walk through any office building in March during the NCAA basketball tournament and you'll spot sneaky workers glancing over their shoulders as they refresh game scores on their Internet browsers. But today, more and more professionals get to check those scores without fear of consequences from human resources. These professionals have put their business, marketing and sales skills to good use in the multi-billion dollar sports industry. Just a few decades ago, going to college to prepare for a job in sports was practically unheard of. Most positions in the business were filled through personal connections, word of mouth or luck. But now, a solid education in sports business is crucial as the field grows more complicated and the competition grows fiercer. Ohio University started the first sports management degree program in 1966. Since then, programs focusing on sports management have grown at universities across the country and opportunities have flourished for students to pursue their passion for sports while gaining solid business skills.

Many sports degree programs are based in education, physiology, health or human performance. Others, including Phoenix-based Grand Canyon University's Colangelo School of Sports Business, are housed within the school's college of business. "Not only do our students study marketing, sales, finance and accounting, which are valuable for any career they choose, they also receive specialized instruction in sports law, contracts, promotions, sponsorships and public relations," says Dr. Brian Smith who heads the Colangelo school, which is closely affiliated with Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of USA Basketball's Board of Directors and named one of the most powerful people in sports by Sporting News. "Through Jerry Colangelo, our students have access to a community of sports executives, venue contacts, NBA and USA Basketball executives and other influential industry leaders who bring years of practical experience to the discussion," says Smith. "Our program is growing rapidly as students learn they can combine their love of sports with a business degree that stresses entrepreneurism and ethics." Sports business graduates have more career options now than ever. Besides the traditional jobs of agents, coaches and players, opportunities are emerging in the growing fields of online advertising, marketing, promotions, sports law and policy, communications, statistics, sports programming, social media and Web management, among others. The stakes are high in the lucrative business of sports. In 2011, the BCS Top 25 college football programs spent a total of nearly $16 million on recruiting, according to Forbes. More television channels now are devoted to sports than to news, music and weather combined, according to the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, resulting in a sports emphasis for television advertisers. During the football championship game on Feb. 5, 30-second commercials went for $3.5 million apiece. The sports industry, although historically successful, has exploded in the past 10 years and experts expect it will continue to flourish as business degree programs provide the next generation of sports leaders with the sophisticated skills needed to thrive in this expanding field.

Few would have suspected they would intentionally do something to do terrible harm to our country. Almost daily we hear of terrorists with extreme Islamic views now there is a new type terrorist, one bred on our own soil that is attempting to find support among businesses to destroy the American economy and to halt America’s economic recovery; to keep Americans out of work. If you are a person or family who relies upon a job for an income you ought to be outraged when you hear this message from these radical conservatives who are willing to destroy the United States. Anything goes to impose their twisted beliefs on the masses.

It is amazing the Justice Department has not begun to investigate this very stupid woman, a Tea Party Nation activist, for treason. She is actively engaging in an effort to sabotage the American economy by organizing an effort to create more unemployment in America. During World War Two we had Nazi saboteurs and the FBI hunted them down, now we are seeing a new breed of saboteur born and bred in the United States of America. It is unimaginable that any patriotic American would dare to cast a vote for anyone who believes in putting working Americans out of work or in keeping the unemployed from finding work. Yet, here she is a Republican activist asking small business owners to sign a pledge that they will not hire any new employees, that they will keep people out of work.
