DROP-OFF & PICKING UP YOUR CHILD
The Wooden Floor provides a safe space for our students and their families to ensure they are supported in their personal and home lives. Our Family Services program takes a case management approach to counseling, crisis intervention, and social service referrals to help families overcome socioeconomic hardships and navigate a path towards economic progress. To further support this, The Wooden Floor offers free workshops on financial literacy, parenting, communication, as well as family health services.
At the Main Street location, please park in the parking lot and walk your child to and from the building. At the Depot at Santiago location, families are encouraged to park in any available spaces along North Santiago Street marked for public parking and walk students to class. Additional parking can be found at the Santa Ana Train Station off North Santiago Street and East Santa Ana Boulevard. In addition to posted signs or colored curbs indicating parking regulations, parking is discouraged in Depot at Santiago’s public retail spaces or on the following streets: Stafford Street, North Custer Street, North Logan Street, and Lincoln Avenue. The Wooden Floor accepts no responsibility or liability for students outside our buildings.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS To qualify, students must: ■ Graduate with a cumulative, weighted GPA of 2.5 or above.
LATE PICK UP
■ Be in good standing at The Wooden Floor and have demonstrated the values of Respect, Excellence, Community, and Stewardship through good attendance and participation in the program’s wrap around services.
Students must be picked up promptly at the end of their dance classes and tutoring sessions. The Wooden Floor is not responsible for caring for students who are dropped off early or not picked up in a timely manner. Please be considerate: If your child is scheduled in the last class of the day, arrive early to pick up your child so the campus can close as scheduled. Because we value our employees’ time, parents of students picked up later than 15 minutes after the end of the last class of the day will be charged a $50 late pick up fee, which is payable to The Wooden Floor by the next scheduled class date.
■ Maintain an 80% dance attendance at The Wooden Floor throughout high school and a 70% attendance senior year. ■ Enroll and attend an accredited community college or university.
