In Spring 2019, the fertile environment that a wealth of talents is creating, really started to bloom at next level. What happens next? I’m typing this page on 8th December, so have no idea. All We Are Saying Is Give Peace A Chance. At least these beautiful, inspiring people (and all who are like or support them), are in the world… TheZineUK : documenting something completely different… and blessed.

As promised last issue (Spring Part 1, cover pictured opposite page), this chapter begins with some professional photographer images of CroCroLand, 6 April! Jon Mo, travels from Reading, England to anywhere needed to capture (amongst much else) one of Britain Ireland’s best kept secrets; a blossoming music community of audiovisual artists, technology, multi media and allied audiences who are not just bystanders, but involved in this escapism. Crowds of whatever size are the investors of the DIY grass roots music scene. Whether it’s listening to the music, buying tickets, merchandise or refreshments, they enable a possible future on land, on line or just on side. Outside mainstream, and high profile independent business, under radar scenes have breathed, rebelled, developed and arrived as something fresh with talent prioritised, diversity in it’s DNA, #MusicWomen in equality and some of the most ambitious new acts. Our contributors are THERE. Please consider #Zeenagers (i.e. undivided passions) when seeking to pay for life-style-involved, high quality work of all kinds - and be part of what’s going on, going down and very much going up.

After 6th April’s, CroCroLand, it’s allumni continue helping to reshape the future. On Tuesday 16th April I partied for a while with the Extinction Rebellion Oxford Circus take over, breaking to return to The Social nearby, for a great This Feeling event where The Rezner were about to rock open the show. My pix were too nonsense to show here, but there was something positive in the air. The night was a co-pro with Alan McGee’s Creation 23 label - LOADS of hugging/laughing music friends. Also, Monefa Walker of TheZineUK Events Department nabbed The Rezner for The Music People Party 2019, not long after. wooHOO!

Fun day, with (quite a few!) mates including Roger and Fahima, at Rough Trade East (Brick Lane, London) for the ‘Dogrel’ album launch gig. Afternoon punk poem delight before Fontaines D.C. Headlined the sold out Kentish Town Forum that night. The following week, they were a bona fide, alternative rock, chart band in Ireland and UK - the rest is future.

In case you wondered what happened after the fabulous CroCroLand pre festival mentoring day, I spotted the wonderful Rhiannon Cobb at SOMA Festival. Drusilla were impressed with her photography (she reviewed CroCroLand for The Croydonist) and invited her to this event. I feel that Rhiannon deserves to go far. Inspiring young lady. Saturday 14th December 2019, putting this latest picture doc together. Felt down on Friday because I love Britain and some people are sad and scared. Couldn’t get out of bed. Got a beautiful text message from one of my artists. His support and solidarity reminded me of why we do this. I’m strong. I know. TheZineUK is an extended community of Sisters and Brothers. DIY means looking after each other and ourselves. With diversity in our DNA it’s a boost to see so much femme power in the newer wave of music industry/media.
