Chapter 10 COMMENDMENTS
Mid June 2016, the magic of Chapter 9 ¾ fizzled out, with the nonsensical farce around non-sensical word; “Brexit”. A genuinely vile Summer Of Hate broke out in the once green and pleasant ex-UK…

Never under estimate the power of music, hearts love of arts, poetic souls and romantic humanity. As fascism goes increasingly condoned and mainstream, under the radar kindness and karma are making new futures. We totally believe in all these things or TheZineUK story would not exist. Somehow the golden souls of song and stage style are finding us. Never mind the “Brexit”, come on friends, let’s SEX IT!
Oi. “Gentrification enough now. Leave us SOME community and heritage, please.

Saturday 2nd July 2016, The Good Mixer, Camden Dizzy Spell of TheZineUK interviews Adam and Dom of 485C. The band played our first East End Music Social in January when they didn’t yet have a name. In April they were a star turn at the ArtBeatFest New Music Expo, and were nabbed for The Great Escape Festival’s End Of The Trail Records stage in May (getting their first radio play for debut release, ‘She’ll Lie’ from Steve Lamacq, the day before). This quintent can NOT be recommended highly enough by us. Impressive alt rock intensity presented with youthful vigour and originality.

The Anchoress The Eden Sessions Festival Cornwall, England.
Consistently rising star, Catherine Ann Davies (The Ancoress), came back on stage during Manic Street Preachers set. She sang duet vocals with James Dean Bradfield for the song ‘Little Baby Nothing’. These images from The Eden Sessions are extra special to TheZineUK (whichas they were taken by Lorna Cort (who also took the images of MSP at On Blackheath in Chapter 007). Lorna was one of the Dead End Dolls who appeared in the video for ‘Little Baby Nothing’ that was directed by journalist legend, Steven Wells.

ROCH A rather special and entrancing set from #SELondon’s immense audiovisual new talent, who played an intimate free gig of dreamy beats and ethereal pop, with her band, in the basement of the ace Vinyl Record Shop and cafe bar in Deptford.
Friday 22nd July 2016, Camden - Whoever says punk is dead hasn’t been to a Sisteray gig
The Berries, then The Barratts, then Sisteray are all about to rock Camden Black Heart. It’s a Welcome To The Monkey House night, the latter’s DIY live music club, and Jimmy of The Glass Collectors radio show couldn’t be any happier…

Sisteray at Camden Black Heart, Friday 22nd July 2016
Welcome To The Monkey House riot, stage invasion eventually plunges Camden Black Heart into darkness, but its a respectful mob for Sisteray so it’s an energetic unleashing of fun
Saturday 23rd July 2016; Get home to Deptford, from the Sisteray gig in Camden, at 4am. Around 7am arrive at Victoria Coach Station and go to Sheffield. As you do. One month after the “Kingdom dis-united and divided (courtesy of the Brexit farce), remainers and leavers alike came together for music, arts and community. Hope for the future. Anywhere with the words PEACE, LOVE, UNITY in big letters at the bar, rules. LOVE YOU

proves that Jack ROCKS
Our story wouldn’t be the same without being regulars at Britain’s No1 live rock n roll club / events / expanding family; This Feeling. Now in it’s tenth year of taste making and party shaking, the TF / Jack Daniels stages made all the difference to the nation’s rising guitar band scenes at 2016’s most essential festivals.
