WOODED SLOPES
PISTE RUNS
One of the key advantages for skiers of Les Houches is that most of the pistes are wooded, which means the region is able to stay open even where other areas are closed due to avalanche warnings. When the weather is bad, Les Houches makes a great place to get some extra skiing time in due to the extensive woodland coverage.
There are piste runs for all abilities at Les Houches, although the area in general is more suited to beginner and intermediate skiers than those that are more advanced and seeking a real challenge. The area also plays host to the Kandahar, one of the annual downhill races of the Alpine Ski World Cup, attracting some of the world’s best downhill skiers.
