This issue of AVENUE is devoted to the somewhat elusive notion of Style, something often equated with elegance and sophistication, difficult to pin down. While the mark of elegance may be gracefulness or restraint, sophistication suggests the ability to interpret and express complex information.
Style, then, seems to be a particular way of
doing something, and doing it well, elegantly and with sophistication. Or as Diana Vreeland, the indomitable editor of Vogue put it, style is about “fit, dash, and line.”
...
And we’re honored to feature internationally acclaimed artist Pedro Friedeberg currently exhibited at Gallery Casa Diana, San Miguel with a style uniquely his own.
Saludos!
