ARTESANÍA MEXICANA SANTA ROSA. ROSE ANN HALL DESIGNS San Miguel de Allende Empresa que se fundó en los años 80´s en Texas USA, y que originalmente la idea era de solo comercializar productos de decoración hechos por artesanos mexicanos; su fundadora Rose Ann se dio a la tarea de seleccionar personalmente sus productos y de manera natural ingresó al mercado con el pie derecho pues en poco tiempo ya tenía una cartera de clientes como Neiman Marcus y Barnies entre otros, pero en realidad esto no fue nada fácil, pues dependían de los artesanos que en ocasiones no podían cumplir con sus fechas de entrega.
M E X I C A N C R A F TS Company was founded in the 80’s in Texas USA, and originally the idea was to only market decoration products made by Mexican artisans; its founder Rose Ann was given the task of personally selecting their products and naturally entered the market with the right foot. In a short time she already had a portfolio of clients such as Neiman Marcus and Barnies among others, but in reality this was nothing easy, they depended on artisans who sometimes could not meet their delivery dates.
A mediados del 2005 su hijo Charlie Hall toma el mando de la empresa y materializa la idea de tener el control de su propia producción, y se da la tarea de buscar artesanos que estén dispuestos a enseñar a otras personas su oficio y así se da pie a un nuevo y joven grupo de artesanos, de los cuales hoy día forman parte de la empresa.
In mid-2005 his son Charlie Hall takes command of the company and materializes the idea of having control of his own production, and is given the task of looking for artisans who are willing to teach other people their trade and thus gives rise to a new and young group of artisans, of which today they are part of the company.
En los últimos 10 años la producción está dedicada a la fabricación de velas de manera 100% artesanales y al grabado de vidrio, arte que se consideraba perdida y de la cual hay mucha controversia entre quien trajo este tipo de trabajo a México, los franceses, pero los españoles reclaman también ser ellos quienes introdujeron esta forma de vidrio que se cree fue diseñada para que con los guantes puestos la cristalería no resbalara de las manos de las personas de las altas esferas de la época.

De manera afortunada fueron llamados para exponer en el museo de arte popular de la ciudad de México. Desde un inicio Charlie tenía la inquietud de contratar además de las personas que pudieran aprender un oficio, incluir a personas con discapacidad y el único requisito era cumplir con el reglamento de la empresa, sus horarios pero sobre todo dar lo mejor de ellos mismos y con esa filosofía lanzó una convocatoria a través del dif municipal de San Miguel de Allende y Dolores Hidalgo teniendo una muy buena respuesta.

Al día de hoy la empresa tiene 43 empleados y de estos uno de cada 5 tiene una discapacidad; esta decisión incluso le dio a la empresa el ser reconocida a nivel estatal con el premio de empresa incluyente número 1 del 2012, y el mismo año con la colaboración de Ana Thiel escultora mexicana la empresa es elegida para representar a México en el pabellón destination México en el MOMA (Museo de Arte moderno de New York) con el diseño de DANCING DOTS que en palabras de la artista fue inspirado en el granizo al golpear el piso.

El día de hoy Charlie comenta que tiene planeado duplicar el número de trabajadores, lo que daría como resultado el número de oportunidades para ayudar a otras personas sin importar si estos tiene una discapacidad o no pues a través de los años Charlie ha tenido en su plantilla laboral personas mayores de 60 años, madres solteras, y personas con discapacidad que de acuerdo con una declaración emitida por la ONU son un sector en estado de vulnerabilidad.

Este deporte nació entre los escaladores del valle de Yosemite en California a principios de los años 80’s, y posteriormente se ha expandido a todo el mundo.
