January 2015: A new year, a new editor, a new name for the magazine formerly known as El Consejo, now, AVENUE, and launch of NIKI MEDIA (see page 52 for a Who’s Who). Moreover, Publisher, General Director Ulises Huerta has been at the helm of THIS and AVENUE for seven magical years with a remarkable team. Hear, Hear!
I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions though 2015 may be an exception. I’m delight- ed to have taken on the position as editor and resolved to bring enhanced content about the best and brightest San Miguel de Allende has to offer; exciting photography (lucky to have talented photographer Luis Esteban Marquez on board) and lots of surprises of the sort, I think, are already evident in these pages. Hopefully you’ll agree.
I believe there’s a silver thread running through this issue tying stories together including one about the great designer William Spratling pre- sented at YAM Gallery.
