HOME SWEET HOME Thorns FC have posted a record of 19-2-3 at Providence Park in regularseason since the beginning of the 2016 season. Portland is 36-13-9 all-time at Providence Park - recording more wins at home than any team in the NWSL. Portland has suffered just three losses since 2016. Thorns FC have won nine of their last 11 home matches, including playoffs, outscoring opponents 24-9. Additionally, Portland has scored in 22 consecutive home matches, dating back to the 2016 season. Thorns FC have scored two or more goals in two of their three home matches this season.
LAST MATCH RECAP Portland earned at least one point on the road for a third consecutive match (1-0-2), playing to a 1-1 draw against Houston on May 9. Forward Ana Crnogorcevic tallied her first career goal for Thorns FC to put Portland in front 1-0 in the 25th minute. Houston answered and tied the match in the 57th minute as Kyah Simon registered her first goal for the Dash. Portland created several chances late in the second half and had a chance to tally the game-winner when Lindsey Horan had her header cleared off the goal line in the 81st minute.

MATCH PREVIEW Portland Thorns FC play host to the Orlando Pride for the second time in the first eight games this season on Saturday, May 12, at Providence Park. Both teams are coming off a quick turnaround with matches on the road Wednesday. Thorns FC won the first meeting between the two sides by a score of 2-1 at Providence Park on April 15. Each team had several absences in the first match, including Marta, Monica, Alanna Kennedy and Emily van Egmond, while Portland adds Tobin Heath, Andressinha and Ellie Carpenter. The match features two of the league’s highest-scoring offenses since the start of the 2016 season: Portland (1st - 82) and Orlando (3rd - 71).
NO PLACE LIKE HOME Playing their home matches at downtown Portland’s iconic Providence Park, Thorns FC have led the league in attendance in each of their first five NWSL seasons. Globally, Thorns FC have the highest attendance of any women’s professional team in the world, averaging 17,653 fans in their fifth season in the league in 2017. On Sept. 30, 2017, Thorns FC recorded their fourth sellout in club history. Portland played host to Orlando in its home opener on April 15, 2018, drawing a crowd of 16,466 - the second largest crowd for a Thorns FC home opener in club history.
