HOME SWEET HOME Thorns FC have posted a record of 20-4-3 at Providence Park in regular-season since the beginning of the 2016 season, which is the most wins at home of any team in the league during that span. Additionally, Portland has scored in 24 consecutive home matches, dating back to the 2016 season. Since the beginning of the 2016 season, Thorns FC have scored 56 goals at home, the most of any team in the NWSL, while also registering the most clean sheets (12).

LAST MATCH RECAP Portland tallied a pair of first half goals, earning a second consecutive clean sheet with a 2-0 win over Utah Royals FC on May 25 at Providence Park. The win marked the 50th career win of head coach Mark Parsons’ NWSL career, and his 30th win with Thorns FC. Christine Sinclair opened the scoring in the 18th minute, assisted by Tobin Heath, while Lindsey Horan added Portland’s second goal in the 39th minute with the assist from Meghan Klingenberg. Britt Eckerstrom earned her first home win and a shutout in goal.

Portland Thorns FC face a quick turnaround with a midweek match against the unbeaten North Carolina Courage on Wednesday, May 30, at Providence Park. Wednesday’s match marks the second of three meetings during the regular season between the two teams, and the only match at Providence Park. Thorns FC recorded their second consecutive shutout victory, earning a win on May 25 against Utah Royals FC. Forward Christine Sinclair continued her strong form, scoring her second goal in the last three matches. Since the start of last season, Portland and North Carolina have been the top two teams in the league with the best points per game average with the Courage at 2.2 and Thorns FC at 1.9 ppg.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME Playing their home matches at downtown Portland’s iconic Providence Park, Thorns FC have led the league in attendance in each of their first five NWSL seasons. Globally, Thorns FC have the highest attendance of any women’s professional team in the world, averaging 17,653 fans in their fifth season in the league in 2017. On Sept. 30, 2017, Thorns FC recorded their fourth sellout in club history. Portland played host to Orlando in its home opener on April 15, 2018, drawing a crowd of 16,466 - the second largest crowd for a Thorns FC home opener in club history.
