OUR TEAM
Our mission is to help students master authentic Chinese and acquire their Chinese language skills in the most interesting way.
All of our teachers have a Master Degree (or above) in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
NiHao Language Education is a professional language centre with a fully integrated and structured teaching concept. We are proud to have trained senior executives and their families from companies including BASF, Bain Company, Societe Generale, DBS, DFS, Kering, HSBC amongst many others.
Our teachers regularly train in our Teacher Training Centre to expand and enhance their linguistic, teaching and interpersonal skills. Our dedicated and passionate team want you to get the most out of your learning experience.

COURSE STRUCTURE Daily Chinese: Daily conversations, as well as Chinese culture topics. Business Chinese: Necessary business conversation for commercial settings. EXAM TRAINING HSK (Hànyŭ shuĭpíng kǎăoshì): Chinese Proficiency Test or the Chinese Standard Exam, is China’s only recognized test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers such as foreign students and overseas Chinese. HSK level 1 to 6. HSKK: Speaking Test: HSKK (Basic), HSKK (Intermediate) and HSKK (Advanced). YCT (Youth Chinese Test): YCT is an internationally recognized test of Chinese language proficiency. It assesses young foreign students’ abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. BCT (Business Chinese Test): BCT focuses on assessing non-native Chinese speakers’ abilities to use the Chinese language in real business or working environments and evaluating the language tasks they are able to complete. It aims to provide references for companies to recruit and select employees,

COURSE LEVELS NEWBIE If you are just trying to learn some survival Chinese or start a lifelong relationship with the language, here’s where to start.
FEATURES • Focus on pronunciation and basic words/phrases.

ELEMENTARY When you can get by with some key phrases, but are looking to start having basic conversations in Chinese, elementary lessons will help you make the jump. After you finish the newbie and elementary levels, you are expected to:

• Build up and develop a solid foundation of Phonetic (Pinyin) knowledge. • Compose basic sentences and converse on simple daily topics. • Participate in brief conversations. • Master 600 words. • Master 60 grammar points. • Recognize approx 300 Chinese characters. (electricity+brain=computer)

COURSE LEVELS INTERMEDIATE Once you have simple conversations in Chinese, intermediate lessons will help you explore more variety of topics and use richer language.
FEATURES • More complex grammar structures and topical vocabulary. • Even mix of English and Chinese.
Chinese culture and the original meanings of words will be explained and applied in the Intermediate Levels for a richer learning experience.
UPPER INTERMEDIATE Upper-intermediate lessons are for students with conversational fluency but looking to use more sophisticated language and tackle more specialized topics.
FEATURES • Advanced grammar patterns and specialized vocabulary. • Primarily in Chinese, with some English. After you finish the Intermediate level, you are expected to: • Communicate confidently on a fair range of topics in daily social conversations. • Give a short presentation on prepared topics. • Write simple notes on a limited range of topics. • Master 1200 words • Master 150 grammar points. • Recognize approx. 800 Chinese characters.

For example, in the Beginner Level, you learn the word for face then in the Intermediate Level, you will learn the deeper importance of face in Chinese culture... what does ‘loosing face’ mean and where the phrase originated from.

COURSE LEVELS ADVANCED You can already speak circles around your friends, but are looking for “complete” Chinese fluency.
FEATURES • Specialized, nuanced, and formal vocabulary. • Entirely in Chinese.
MEDIA For advanced students, Media lessons present a new challenge: unfiltered Chinese, as it’s used in real contexts, taken from original sources.
FEATURES • Discusses news and other real-world articles. • Entirely in Chinese. After you finish the Advanced and Media levels, you are expected to: • Communicate effectively on a wide range of social topics. • Express opinions and hold discussions relating to basic professional business situations. • Gather general information and specific details from the mass media on a broad range of topics. • Write simple reports, social letters as well as routine work-related correspondence. • Understand Chinese culture and society.
The Advanced Course Levels take learning and practicing to a higher level.
You will learn how to discuss a wide range of topics and opinions including discussions on real-world news articles.
Business situations will also be covered in these levels.

BUSINESS MANDARIN COURSE INTRODUCTION: The Business Mandarin Course is designed for learners who have business activities in Mainland China or need to communicate with colleagues and clients in Mandarin. After this course, students are expected to be able to communicate with at least the following abilities: • Appropriate expressions at polite social occasions. • Traveling, telephoning and appointment making.
Business Mandarin focusses on commercial languge skills. With each conversation, students will learn practical and useful terms and expressions.
• Commercial activities such as giving an introduction of a company, product or service, quotations and reviews. • Consulting, negotiating, bargaining, writing plans.
BEGINNER Business Mandarin is for students learning necessary Chinese expressions for daily commercial communication and skills for polite social intercourse.
INTERMEDIATE Business Mandarin is for students who acquire language skills in day-to-day social dealings.
ADVANCED Business Mandarin contains social gatherings, office work and day-to-day operations, and is for the training of advanced learners in language skills for business information exchange.
