Congratulations to Kiara Fernandes in Grade 7. Kiara completed her Kyokushin Western Province Tournament on Saturday 20 May and won gold!

WP Ice Hockey

Congratulations to Jade Tarboton in Grade 7. Jade was selected to represent the WP U.14 and U.18 Team for the 2023 Junior Inter-provincial tournament which will take place from 25 June to 2 July in Cape Town!

WP Action Cricket Weskaap Skole Netbal

Baie geluk aan Leané van der Merwe in Graad 7. Leané is die naweek in Moorreesburg verkies tot die o.13 Weskaap Netbalspan wat van 25 - 28 Junie 2023 gaan deelneem aan die Suid-Afrikaanse Skole Netbal toernooi. Die toernooi sal in Boksburg, Gauteng plaasvind.

Western Cape Chess

Congratulations to Zeke Zwartz in Grade 1. Zeke represented Western Province Metro and competed in the Western Cape Schools Chess Tournament in George this weekend, May 6-7, 2023. All participants received a certificate, but only the top 10 players were awarded medals and will be part of the regional team in the future. Zeke played 6 rounds, of which he lost 1, drew 2, and won 3, placing him 9th in the tournament!

Congratulations to Zeke Johnson in Grade 7. Zeke has been selected to represent the Western Province Under 12 Action Cricket Team in June 2023 in Pietermaritzburg.

Nipper of the year

Congratulations to Zac Sampson in Grade 6. On Friday 19th May 2023 Big Bay Surf Lifesaving Club held its Annual Awards and Zac received the following awards:

• Top U12 Boy Trophy (Surf) 2022/2023

• The Hillman Trophy for best Sea Specialist of the year (2nd Year in a rowmost points scored in Surf events)

• The Hutton & Langenhoven Trophy for Best Board (Most points scored in board events across all age groups)

• The Kristin Bellingan Trophy for Surf Swimmer of the Year (Most points scored across all age groups in Surf events at all competitions locally, provincially & nationally)

Zac also received the Nipper of the Year Trophy for the highest points scored across all age groups at all competitions locally, provincially & nationally)
