WP Baseball WP Cape Chess Championship Arnold Classic Multi Sports and Arts Festival Karate

Taylon van Oord was recently selected to represent WP at the National Junior Baseball Championships. Well done Taylon, you make Aristea proud!

Morgan Taylor participated in the Western Cape Chess Championship. She did very well and scored 4 wins in 6 games. Well done Morgan.

Mr Raynier Fourie and his son, Daniel represented the Western Cape Karate Association at the National Arnold Classic Multi Sports and Arts Festival in Johannesburg. Both Mr Fourie and Daniel, performed brilliantly, as always. Mr Fourie won a bronze medal, while Daniel won a silver and gold medal respectively. At this event the President of Karate South Africa, in his personal capacity, only had good things to say about Daniel and his excellent achievements. Congratulations dad and son, we are proud of you!

Roewan Zwiegers (Graad 7) het deelgeneem aan rugbyproewe gedurende die 2de kwartaal, en is gekies as lid van die WP o.13 akademiespan.

Hulle gaan gedurende die vakansie in Pietermaritzburg deelneem. Baie geluk met hierdie goeie prestasie.

Tristan Rooi competed at the 2023 WUKF National Championships & Africa Open in Gqeberha.

Spelling Bee

Kyle Samuels, one of our Head Leaders in Grade 7 participated in the Interschool Spelling Bee competition held at Gene Louw Primary School on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.

We are extremely proud to announce that Kyle took fourth place in this very challenging competition. This was our second entry in a competition of this caliber. Well done to Kyle for “bee-ing” such a marvellous speller. You make Aristea PROUD!

Tygerberg Kinderkoor De Tyger - Ensemble

Ons ensemble het ook gedurende die 2de kwartaal by Herschel Girls’ Senior School aan die Kaapse Afrikaanse Eiseddfod deelgeneem. Hulle het 100% (Distinction) behaal. Die alombekende beoordelaar, Beverley Chait, het gesê dat die lied en die kinders haar hart warm gelaat het. Ons is baie trots op Juf Esmé Hills en haar ensemble.

Ons spog graag met ons 4 De Tyger-lede wat saam met die Tygerberg Kinderkoor na UK getoer het. Hulle is as wêreldkampioene in die Kinderkoorafdeling aangewys. Hulle het ook ‘n tweede plek behaal in die “Sacred” afdeling. Ons is baie trots op hulle!
