Anallotment site in Eccleshall has had new signage.

The Shaws Lane allotments, which has beeninoperation for over 40 years, celebrated having its first official entrance sign withavisit from the Eccleshall ParishCouncil chairman Peter Jones and councillor StuartPerren the council’s representative on the allotmentassociation recently.

The allotments are owned by theEccleshall ParishCouncil butare managed and operated by the association and its chairman Ron Milne.

There are 65 plots on the site including some for less abled gardeners and aged ranging from 80 down to children. The five-acre site is hidden largely from view by hedges and fields but visitors and prospective gardeners are welcome to visit.
