COMMUNITY CALENDAR is looking for motivated applicants ages 15 to 21 interested in a career with law enforcement to join the newly formed Explorer Post. To qualify you must have: • At least a 2.0 grade-point average, • Good citizenship • No drug or alcohol use • No felony convictions. CHP Explorers are provided many opportunities to train, prepare, and experience the many duties of a CHP officer. Explorers participate in training sessions, ride-alongs with patrol officers, and community events, and attend Explorer competitions locally, regionally, and nationally. The California Highway Patrol Explorer Program allows officers to work with some of the brightest and most professional young men and women.
