CITY IN FLUX Stephan Smith is a UK based Illustrator specialising in illustration, but also working across installation, motion and publishing since 2000. Amongst other things he has published monographic books with Gestalten and exhibites of his work at the Nam June Paik Centre in South Korea.
I like the Style used in the work above as it is simple but very effective and eye catching. the little use of colour makes the picture stand out even more as they draw you to certain parts of the illistrations. I would like to try and use this type of media in my work.

“I am a city of bones deep inside my marrow, a song in electric chords, decrescendo to mute, rise to white noise, half silences in a blank harmony as all comes to nothing, my eyes the central fire of my soul, yellow, orange, red—gone in an instant and then back when I am, for a glimpse, as precise as a bird’s breath, when I am perfect, undone by hope when hope will not listen, the moon wasting to where I need not worry that bones turn to ash, a brittle staccato in dust.”

CITY IN FLUX Mr. Brainwash – often written MBW – is a name used by Paris-born, Los Angeles-based self-proclaimed filmmaker and street artist Thierry Guetta. According to the Banksy-directed film Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), Guetta began as a proprietor of a clothing store and amateur videographer who was first introduced to street art by his cousin, the street artist Invader, and who filmed street artists through the 2000s and “evolved” into an artist in his own right in a matter of weeks after an off-hand suggestion from Banksy.
A lot of Mr. brainwashes work is recreations or retakes on existing work such as the brands on the left picture, but he put them on spray paint cans. The picture to the right is the album cover for Madonna that Mr. brainwash created, inspired by the Marilyn Monroe painting, best known to be associated with Andy Warhol.

Javier Mariscal is a Spanish artist and designer whose work has spanned a wide range of mediums, ranging from painting and sculpture to interior design and landscaping. He was born in February 1950 in the city of Valencia, Spain into a family of eleven brothers and sisters. Since 1970, he has been living and working in Barcelona. Just like the style of Stephan Smiths style of using rough lines, this media has inpsired me to create my work like this as i think it would work well in stop-motion.

CITY IN FLUX Laura is able to work in two styles. One is soft, expressive and colourful. It looks like watercolour, but isn’t. Shading and a sense of texture, as well as a hint of the surreal, bring it to life. Her other approach is to use vector graphics – clean, cute and quick.
