WHAT WILL I STUDY?

During the 2-year programme, students will learn the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of education and childcare occupations, as well as working 2 days a week with an employer on an industry placement. Core topics in this exciting new qualification include understanding the education and childcare sector from ages 0 to 19, child development and how to support children and young people’s education. You will also cover the essential areas of safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing as well as understanding and managing behaviour.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTER THE COURSE?
After this course, you can embark on to a wide range of Early Years related careers such as higher education, early years practitioner, teaching assistant, learning mentor, special educational needs teaching assistant, playworker.
KEY INFORMATION
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Five GCSEs grade 4 or above including English and maths
LENGTH OF COURSE: Two years
ASSESSMENT: A mix of an external examination, a substantial employer set project and synoptic assessment through vigorous practical assignments, learners will achieve their license to practice upon completion
TYPE OF COURSE: T Level (equivalent to 3 A Levels). Awared with UCAS points
