APPLIEDSCIENCE BTEC VOCATIONAL

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

This course offers you the chance to continue your studies of all three sciences but in vocational scenarios, with less emphasis on examinations than the science A Levels. We offer the Extended Diploma, which is a full time, three A Level equivalent qualification. The course has a strong focus on developing practical skills within the laboratory and learning how science is carried out in industry. This is underpinned by the study of the key theoretical concepts and scientific principles common to all science courses.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER THE COURSE?

Students that study with us usually progress on to degree pathways in the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), biomedical science, healthcare science, pharmaceutical science, engineering and many more. Other routes include laboratory research, optometry, radiography, industrial food production, and teaching.
