WHAT WILL I STUDY?

This course is the first step to becoming a health professional, leading to a highly specialised work-related qualification where you will gain the knowledge, understanding and skills to prepare you to progress to employment or continue to study at university. There is also the opportunity to gain work experience with local employers.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER THE COURSE?

After this course, you can progress on to a range of health-related courses at university including nursing, social work/social care or psychology as well as pursuing other careers in teaching, working with children and young people or allied health professionals, for example, Occupational Therapy.

KEY INFORMATION

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and/or maths

LENGTH OF COURSE: Two years

ASSESSMENT: Assignments throughout the academic year, as well as 2 exams (anatomy and physiology) and a synoptic, and you will also complete a meaningful work placement in relevant industry

TYPE OF COURSE: NCFE Technical Diploma Level 3
