Welcome to the Vakantie Festival! This is the innovative travel event in the Brabanthallen in ’s-Hertogenbosch, where inspiration, personal interaction, and festival experiences come together. The initiative comes from Frits Kuijper and T.J. van Apeldoorn, supported by an experienced advisory board, including Bart Meijer. Our goal is to create a travel festival that aligns with the modern consumer and the evolving needs of the travel industry.

The goal is to truly develop the event together with the travel industry. In a world where, alongside the online offering, there is still a great demand for a live B2C travel event that focuses on travel inspiration and personal encounters. This needs a fresh approach, and we want to shape it together with you. Nothing is too crazy—we are flexible, and everything is open for discussion. We can’t wait to engage with you, listen to your ideas, and translate them into the concept. Together, we will build a new event!

Why? New and dynamic
Visitors long for a dynamic experience where they are immersed in a world of travel. The Vakantie Festival responds to this by creating an event that goes beyond merely providing information. The goal is to create an inspiring environment and an incredible ‘holiday vibe,’ ensuring that visitors leave as true fans of the destinations and travel organizations present. We will achieve this through a unique mix of entertainment, interaction, and content. As organizers, we also challenge you as a participant to think innovatively about your presentation and interaction at the event.


Unique features
The festival atmosphere and interactive setup make this event unique. Instead of a traditional layout by continent, the Vakantie Festival is organized into thematic Experience Areas, based on travel needs. This allows the organization to adapt annually to current trends when designing these thematic areas.

As a participant, this also gives you the flexibility to determine each year which theme best aligns with your offerings or objectives at that moment. Visitors can immerse themselves in fun activities, workshops, live entertainment, culinary tastings, and engaging presentations.
Sustainability plays a major role in all aspects of the festival, from booth construction to food and beverage options. Additionally, data technology is utilized, allowing exhibitors to scan visitors for efficient follow-up contact.

Active & Outdoor Area
For travelers who love an active and sustainable vacation, the Active & Outdoor Area is the place to be. From green summer destinations to snowy escapes, this area is all about cycling and hiking holidays, camping, caravans & motorhomes, nature trips, and winter sports.

Taste the World Area
A culinary world tour begins in the Taste the World Area. This is where destinations and travel organizations showcase their offerings in relation to culinary highlights. A large terrace serves as the vibrant heart of this area, offering a diverse selection of dishes from around the world. Enjoy music, live cooking, tastings, and culinary shows, while the aromas of exotic dishes tantalize your senses.
