I LIKE TOURING AND PERFORMING. I don’t like taking time off. I want to work and I love what I do. Randy Couture, the former mixed martial arts champion told me: “The best never rest.”
Then drive along the coast, on Highway 1 up to Big Sur. It’s the most beautiful sunrise in the world. It’s more beautiful than the south of France or Monaco. In fact, it’s one of the beautiful rides in the world.
MY MOST MEMORABLE TRIP was to the Philippines in 1972. The relatives from Baguio came to say goodbye to us and there were lines at the airport. I think about 150 people came to say goodbye, and there were just lines and lines of them. It was just beautiful.
MY BUCKET LIST INCLUDES being the best stand-up comedian in the world. That’s what I’m aiming for – to travel around the world and to sell out everywhere. There’s also a few more movies I want to make, including a couple of dramatic films and comedies.
I WOULD RECOMMEND SPENDING A NIGHT IN OJAI, at the northwest of Los Angeles, in a motel. Don’t spend any money on those fancy hotels. Get up before sunrise at about 6 AM and start driving up the coast slowly as soon as the sun comes up.
